I've used him a couple times now and has been great both times. Very prompt, reasonable, pleasant, and knows his stuff.

Problem: Washer won't stop filling…read more Good news: Repair service scheduled professionally and courteously for the next day. The serviceman arrived promptly with a call ahead of time letting me know that he was on his way, which I appreciated. Bad news: For $73 (service call plus tax), the repairman got my washer brand, model and serial number, and a description of the issue - info I could have given by phone. No diagnostics, no reproducing the issue, no washer inspection. I even had the machine pulled away from the wall. For 3/4 of a $100 he got info I could've told them for free. I told him I cleaned the screens and he said there was a possibility that I damaged the screens. Without looking at them,or anything, he wrote the estimate to replace a part (the price of the part was $99). The total, including service call, just over $300. I told him for another $100 I could buy a new washer, and I did. The irony? The new washer did the same thing as the old one. Turns out my water pressure is low and the water filter needs replaced. The repairman's best guess would've been a fail and I would've been out $300. I realize this unfortunately sometimes happens and when a repairman's been doing their job for years they often guess correctly but, from a customer's viewpoint, we expect an inspection and diagnostic measures taken to pinpoint the problem before committing to a costly repair.

I have had a very bad experience with Jays Appliances Service in Nashville, Tenn. He fixed my…read morerefrigerator in March with an expensive part and told me the part was under warranty. The same thing happened again and he didn't show up and won't answer me.

We hired this company last week and scheduled an appointment for today at 3 p.m. The worker,…read morealthough pleasant enough, was more than 30 minutes late with no telephone call or text, and no explanation when he finally showed up as to why he displayed such a lack of respect for our time. He did not even acknowledge that he was late. Sadly, this has become unsurprising to us since we began major renovations of homes on two separate properties. He is only one of many service providers we have hired recently who either did not provide good service or were significantly late with no apology or explanation, or who even missed appointments entirely without alerting us that the appointment would be missed. Without exception, those who missed appointments entirely never contacted us with an apology or explanation. Are we living in a time right now where people are so rich that they have no need to gain new customers or keep established customers? If so, I would like to be among the first to congratulate them, but I wish they would let me know on the front end that they really don't care about my business -- whether they keep it or lose it -- and that they have absolutely no interest in doing what they were hired to do. UPDATE: I appreciate that this company responded so quickly. So often companies just ignore your reviews. I am the person with whom the office staff spoke. Shelley, I think it was, but I could be wrong about the name. Anyway, she was very kind and very helpful, but there was absolutely no mention of a "3 to 4, depending on other jobs" kind of thing. We set the appointment for 3 o'clock sharp, and that was the only time that was mentioned. We understand that other jobs run over and cause people to run late, but communication is the key. If a job runs over and a person is going to be 30 minutes late, he or she should call or text. We set our own work schedules around when we hire people to come to work. Upon arrival, this technician did a great job and was very helpful, so I raised the rating a star because of that. We can overlook an initial mistake and not make a big deal out of it. A lot of my frustration was, as I said above, a pattern that we had experienced of other companies that did not care. After seeing this person respond and experiencing him doing our job, I do not believe that this company belongs in that group. We would not hesitate to call this company again and trust that communication would be better next time.

We called to have someone emergently turn off the gas and fix the problem. Ken came from 60 miles away. He turned off the gas "Red Tagged" our tank and said it is the regulator. He then stated he could not repair it, he didn't have a regulator on his truck and someone would come right out and fix the problem. Now we have no gas left in the tank during winter. I have now called 6 times, no one has helped in any way. Even the case # I got from customer support was wrong. I just spoke to a representative in customer service who sent me to a supervisor, after 20 minutes they hung up on me. Not only are the reps over seas, you can not even go to amerigas. They don't allow walk ins. There doors are locked to the public. I am only one person in a long line of irate customers. Horrible company!!!!

We have been…read morewithout Aux Heat for nearly 2 weeks Repair man WAS SUPPOSED to be here today between 08:00 and 10:00 to fix the leak in the tank and he did not show up. Now I am told that they will not get here until; NEXT DAMNED YEAR! We can not go that long without Auxiliary Heat. I just went out and turned the gas back on and relighted the pilot light. I am not certain if I smell gas or not but at least we have heat in the home once again. I wish to speak to someone in UPPER MANAGEMENT about this problem with the most ridiculous excuse for customer service I have ever seen. The tank with the leak IS NOT MY TANK! It is YOUR TANK for which I PAY A HEFTY RENTAL FEE. Looking at the date on the tag of the tank it is NEARLY 60 years old. It looks EVERY BIT that age to boot. I was told initially that I would be assessed a service fee of nearly 70.00 for this repair. WHY if this is YOUR PROPERTY, and I am paying rent on the thing am I RESPONSIBLE for having to pay to repair something that you are charging me to use. When the lady advised me that they would be here today to fix the tank she advised that this fee was collectable. When I did protest that charge she would make a note and waive the fee. So now with the gas back on we can face the upper teen temperatures due to arrive this week and weekend. Please ask a SENIOR MANAGER to give me a call about my problem.
