We hired Best Event for the rentals at our wedding this August and were very disappointed with both…read morethe quality of the rentals and our service. We live in California but met while attending PSU which is why we decided to be married in the State College area. I flew out to Pennsylvania to plan my wedding and spent hours in the Best Event showroom choosing which items to rent. Two days before the wedding when the rentals were delivered to the site, we found that they had switched items on us. They chairs that we rented were wooden, but the ones that were delivered were plastic and said "Best Event Rental" on the backs. The bar we had rented was wooden, but the one they delivered was black like a guitar amplifier and looked like it belonged in a nightclub. When I called to tell them that they had sent the wrong items, the manager was not apologetic at all, and in fact, said that "most customers would consider these changes upgrades." After several phone calls and many tears on my part, they came and picked up their ugly black bar (we used a table instead) and ended up comping the chairs. While we were happy to not have to pay for the items, we felt that Best Event rental was dishonest with us. Substitutions should never be made to a contract when the customer has spent hours selecting items from their showroom. On top of that, they should have been more sensitive to the fact that we were having a wedding, a very important day in our lives, and that it was not just another order to fill. If you are planning a wedding or another event and want to be sure that you get what you select, and that you will not suffer from additional stress two days before your event I would NOT recommend using Best Event Rental.

In the planning stages, Alyssa was very helpful with suggestions about items for our menu and for amounts we might need for our gathering. We really didn't know how many people would come. Set-up was quick and, as I expected, cheerful. We appreciated her providing table tents (cards) to identify the ingredients in the dishes. All the food items were awesome! Ive had so many people come up to me during the dancing and after saying how good of a DJ he was and how they never saw so many people dance on a wedding dance floor for so long. Cant say enough good things about him honestly. Professional and curteous as well with anything we wanted to do as a couple like a "final dance" where he had to stay a bit longer than normal, was not a problem. I would hire him for any wedding if you want your guests to have a fantastic night.

We received so many…read morecompliments from guests that the music playlist was one of (if not THE) best that they've ever seen at a wedding! Alex had such cool transitions between songs and did an amazing job of gauging what would get the crowd going. Our dance floor was packed the entire night! As PSU alumni, we had mentioned that we wanted to enter the reception to a PSU song. Alex took that idea and ran with it - creating an AWESOME mashup of PSU fight songs and even included the lion's roar sound from the stadium! Our guests absolutely loved it. Throughout the entire planning process, Alex was extremely helpful and responsive. He uses a user-friendly website that includes a thorough questionnaire to understand our music preferences, must-play songs, and do-not play songs. Our guests also loved the photobooth that Alex provided. The photos turned out a little blurry, but I think that's just because of the neon sign that we chose to hang in the backdrop. He also brought such great energy to the wedding and was truly a joy to work with and have on the mic!

We used our two tailgating grills to warm everything up and put in catering pans that I previously purchased. To say that everyone loved the food is an understatement. Everything was absolutely amazing!!! The ribs were out of this world!!! I am so happy I found her and she is my go to for PSU games from this point forward!! Thanks Deb and staff!!
