Mary Ann is a brilliant professional who knows exactly where the problem areas are, and makes me feel so much better. She has many loyal clients, because of her skill and empathic touch. I love the heated massage bed and relaxing music during the massage. Any areas of tension are identified, isolated and kneaded out with crazy precision. She has amazing technique, so you never feel like your muscles are being "cracked or rolled". She also has sort of a percussion technique, where its almost like she vibrates her hands as she's kneading out any kinks. Whats even more surprising is how much she accomplishes with very limited oil, I went straight to dinner at the Rathskeller after and did not look shiny at all. Great Table - The table is heated and cushy, the linens are high quality, the face rest is more comfortable than most. Amazing Venue - Location on Mass @ the Athenaeum can't be beat. I live across the street and will be coming back very often. The office is tucked right next to Coat Check Coffee! The office is like a cozy living room, the massage room feels like a nice suburban bed room. She keeps the place spotless and the interior design is really cute. Priced too low! - Her massages are only $60/HR + tip (budget $80, $60+$20 tip). Her introductory massage is only $45 (budget $60, $45+15 tip). She also offers discounted massage packages which I plan on buying in bulk! (I think its $5-10 off per) On a personal note, I've gotten on average 20 massages a year for the past decade, across a half dozen states and at least a dozen countries and this is my overall domestic favorite by a huge margin. I was almost hesitant to write a review because I don't want more competition fighting for reservations!

Each of the ladies I've met have multiple to several years of experience. Personally I've had sessions with Antonia and let me tell you, her hands are powerful! She provides a deep tissue massage and got several of my aches and pains straightened out. This first time I went to Knead Therapeace I felt I left the weight on the table when I got up after my session. I walked out much lighter and in better spirits than when I came in. Check out this group of incredibly talented massage therapists!

The massages were too hard and fast; my husband's neck massage was painful. The therapists conversed with each other in their own language during the entire massage and we couldn't relax. When we left the therapist was angry about no tip even though she was the one who refused the amount I wanted to leave. She was yelling and very angry. We will never go back.
