Also, she contacted us in Georgia (where we retired to) to make sure we found a house here and check to up on us like an old friend.

We also had some hickups with buyers and it did not phase this Team at all. Thank you Kayla to you and your Team for taking direct care of me and immediately responding whenever I texted or called (which I know I did a lot) I will be doing repeat business with you into the future. Two days after I signed the lease and paid the $550 deposit, I had to notify Babineck I would be unable to take the lease because I'd been laid off work. I requested the refund of the $550. The apartment in question is in a desirable area, so I had no doubts that Babineck would lose any rental. Rather than refund the deposit, he first put me off by insisting on receiving written proof that I am unemployed. When I offered him an employer number, he rattled off reasons why he couldn't follow up on that information. He then put me off, saying no action could be taken on my file until Monday (I had spoken with him after 5 on a Friday). Come Monday, I telephoned Babineck again. In the space of those two days, he confirmed he had found a replacement tenant for the unit but then he wanted to deduct sums from the deposit "for his time in showing me the unit and drafting my lease." To my mind, he showed the apartment as a regular cost of business, there were no special accommodations for me. The lease in question was boilerplate, and took no more than 10 minutes to scribble in the names of prospective tenants. The gist was Babineck was grasping for any justification not to refund my deposit in part or in whole. These are the greediest and most unscrupulous people I've yet to come across. If you can avoid dealing with them, please give them a wide berth. The downside is they list properties in the Heights and in Montrose, two desirable neighborhoods.
