But ... service as soon as we arrived was outstanding. Friendly, but professional. We started off with vegetarian spring rolls which were your basic spring rolls - tasty, not greasy at all. Wine list was quite extensive too, which is a bonus! For mains, we shared the BBQ Pork Ribs with Plum Sauce, Satay Beef and Sizzling Chicken with Garlic. My partner's 6 year old ordered what all 6 year olds would probably order ... chicken nuggets and chips. No, not very Chinese, but I guess the restaurant knows what a good kids menu should include! All our main meals were outstanding - and yes, I was surprised! Especially the BBQ Pork Ribs, which could be 'cut' with a spoon (and had hardly any bones). I swear the meal wasn't as good as this last time we visited (which was about a year ago) - I am seriously impressed, and already planning a return visit. The strawberry cheesecake was so soft yet packed full of flavor. It was served with whipped cream and was topped with fresh strawberries and jelly. In terms of presentation, the piece of cake was well placed and was of good size for $6.50. The base of the cake was also not too thick either making it perfect for cutting using a desert fork. They also provided appropriate cutlery given the cake was to be shared between two people. This was without having to ask and was rather thoughtful. Staff were friendly and service was pleasing. Wait times weren't too long either even though there were quite a few people there. Their hot chocolate is good. It doesn't taste too watery like other coffee shops I have been too. Tucked away in the corner of the Woodcroft Plaza, this coffee shop is a gem that you definitely wouldn't want to miss.

This artwork certainly adds a lot of character to the place, as does the comfortable seating near the back of the restaurant. The first time I went, the menu was virtually all seafood. Now there are many other dinner options including pizzas and pasta. I haven't tried these new options yet but they certainly look great. One item that has my attention for my next visit is the Quattro Formmagi (four cheese pizza). They also now have a range of vegetarian pasta options too. Before their new menu, I tried their fish and chips. The chips were decent and fairly crispy with a salad that seemed reasonably fresh too. The fish was decent in size and had a nice thin batter. One thing was that there was not quite enough tartare sauce. I went for breakfast after they introduced their new menu and had their pancakes. For $8, they were quite impressive. They were very fluffy and were served with cream and maple syrup. The edge of the pancake is nice and crispy. I also tried a hot chocolate as well (on a different occasion not to get a sugar overload). The hot chocolate is made with chocolate syrup which does give it quite a rich flavour.

The restaurant is usually a bit quieter but still gets a decent crowd. I remember when I was younger my sister and I would watch the fishes in the fish pond while we waited for our food. And of course there are the prawn crackers to nibble on before hand. I'd suggest the honey chicken, garlic prawns and the sizzling Mongolian lamb. This place is truly delicious!

The meal I had was very delicious, excellent pub meal and the service we had received by our waitress and the bartender was outstanding. My wife had a great choice of options from their Gluten Free menu.
