The key here, is that they do each dish well and there's not just one specific focus or specialty. Mexican tacos Lamb shoulder, refried beans, red cabbage, corn tortilla, mint yogurt and hot sauce. With lime. Can get a bit messy and the plate wasn't wide enough to prevent some liquid leakage. Love the yogurt and hot sauce pairing, which really characterizes the dish because the lamb, while juicy, doesn't carry much flavor on its own. Katoomba fried chicken KFC Marinated thighs, cabbage slaw, wasabi mayo, allspice and lime. Nice big bowl of zesty slaw - the chicken is average, hard fried. Not bone-in. Singapore Laksa Rice noodles, prawns, boiled egg, fish cake, tofu puffs, bean sprouts and coriander. Easily the best of the lot, particularly on a cold and gloomy day. Theres so much action going on here - fresh plump shrimp, diverse textures and flavors as well has a tummy quenching broth. Some takeaways for no bathrooms and you have to bus your own dishes. That's all.

AND along with the most delicious scones, came a beautiful cream, but OH the blackberry jam! Bought 5 jars as gifts (and one for myself). It's a bit of drive down onto the floor of the Megalong Valley, but trust yourself. Keep going. Cute little tea room on beautiful land. Really enjoyed it. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g1078451-d2459102-r951841036-Megalong_Valley_Tearooms-Megalong_Valley_Blue_Mountains_New_South_Wales.html#

I went here for brunch with my elderly parents, 7-month-old son and husband, and they accommodated us with a beautiful big table by a window near the nice warm fire. High chair was provided. We ordered the Ploughman's breakfast, big breakfast, soup of the day (veggie), scones and the apple pie and EVERYTHING was delicious. It looked like a lot of food, but we ate every last bit. The coffee and teas were excellent as well (I own and run my own cafe so I know good coffee!) The service was also outstanding. We had recently experienced the most appalling service at a popular cafe in Leura, and so when we went here it was so nice to be treated with warmth and kindness. It was my birthday the day prior, so they even accommodated a request to put some candles and a little Happy Birthday sign on a slice of apple pie and bring it out at the end of the meal... big genuine smiles and so kind to my entire family. I wholeheartedly recommend this place! Make sure to order the scones, the blackberry jam is homemade and warm and with the fresh fluffy cream it is just... *chef's kiss* :)

I didn't know it was on a wildlife sanctuary, or that it was an exclusively vegan establishment. I won't hold that against them, but it just so happened that the morning we came I was quite famished. I ordered a special of the day "Spicy Tofu" dish that was exceptional. I guess that what they listed would be good and that they could really do good pan-fried tofu dish. I was 100% right. The only problem with it was that it was so good my wife had massive food envy and I swapped dishes with her. My wife ordered the Butternut Pumpkin & Roasted Pinenut risotto. The portion was huge... easily split between two people... and ok/good, but not great. An interesting place, and another time perhaps I'll try their plant-based meat items... but that'll be another time. If you have vegan friends, or searching for a Vegan meal.. try it. There seemed to be quiet a few local patrons coming. Coffee was exceptionally good!!! I could have had 3 mugs worth if possible

It wasn't long until our appetizers had arrived I ordered the Wild Mushroom Arancini with a side of the Damper both were delicious. The damper was warm and the Dukkah complimented the bread well! I tried some of the squid which another family member ordered and it was delish also. For main I ordered the Chicken, Mushroom, Pesto & Parmesan Risotto which was so yummy! I also tried some of the Sirloin steak which was so very tasty and the potatoes great too. I couldn't fit in dessert unfortunately however will hope to next time!! The location of this place was also very cool, very secluded with Kangaroos, Wallabies & Emus roaming around. And you could also see these from the windows in the restaurant which was pretty cool. A great lunch with friendly staff and I can't wait to return!

This place has an upstairs - but used for special functions or overflow. The…read morerestaurant downstairs is spacious and suits either a dining pair, larger groups and even a party. If you're looking to have a function, there's also a function venue upstairs. What a great place for a function, particularly when there is no minimum spend. The Bored Monkey operates for breakfast on a Sunday, lunch from Friday-Sunday and dinner Tuesday-Sunday. They are soon to open a cocktail lounge upstairs with tapas to suit the early cocktail hour crowd. The decor is casual and the restaurant feels comfortable, with a varied crowd of differing ages. Staff are warm and friendly and service was extremely efficient. We would describe the menu as very approachable. All diners can find something that meets their taste. Whether it be a burger, steak, nachos, salad, pasta and meats, or something from their amazing range of seafood options, you will leave satisfied. There's some dishes that would suit those with dietary requirements and also a kids menu. Kids under 12 eat free! There's a lunch menu for $29.95 or $25 for seniors. This is very good value for two courses (main and dessert) with a glass of beer, house wine or soft drink. We really enjoyed the dinner menu, and feel that the food here is high quality. It would be categorised as modern Australian, featuring selections from the sea, grill and garden. On our visit, we had a few from each category. For entrees, we began with a few Sydney Rock oysters, sampling a few flavours, the natural Kilpatrick, lime, soy, ginger and eschallots. The oysters were so nice and creamy and it is hard to pick a favourite.   These were followed by the sake scallops, which were cooked perfectly - three Victoria Bay scallops sitting in their shell, cooked with garlic, negara sauce, soy sauce and shallots, the were full of flavour and we just wanted to keep going back in for that sauce.   We also shared the Skull island prawns, grilled and served in their butterflied half shell, they were flavoured with a mild kick of chilli oil, basil, flakes of salt and freshed herbs.   Other entrée / tapas style dishes for you to select from include arancini, tequila poppers, pork belly, zucchini flowers and haloumi, to name a few. For our mains, we decided to share the surf & turf which we chose Moreton bay bug as the seafood addition. A lovely piece of seafood beautifully cooked and flavoured, accompanying the A variety of wine from the right regions and good range of beer on offer including craft beer on tap, with one of our favorites stone and wood pacific ale. There are number of inviting cocktails with many classics listed and a couple of interesting twists including the lychee martini and the salted caramel espresso martini. We had a refreshing mojito to accompany our seafood selection.
