Okay this might not be the most authentic Chinese restaurant, but it still hit the spot. We normally have Asian cuisine quite often, but due to recent travels it was difficult to come by. So when we were at Epcot for Father's day, I knew treating the family out to some Chinese food would be a real treat. My parents were happiest of all. Husband, toddlers were all delighted as well. We ordered glazed prawn with pistachios, honey sesame chicken, vegetable stir fry, Kowloon spare ribs, and Ma La Happy Family. We liked the glazed prawn with pistachios; it was a nice spin off of honey walnut shrimp. We actually liked the pistachios more than walnuts with the shrimp. The honey sesame chicken was overly breaded and was not a huge crowd pleaser. The Kowloon spare ribs were definitely nothing like spare ribs I've had in Kowloon, and I can't say I enjoyed them either. We all really enjoyed the vegetable stir fry; it was nice to have some vegetables in our diet during travels. The stir fry had a nice mix of broccoli, tofu, carrots, mushrooms, etc. We also really enjoyed the Ma La Happy Family which was a mix of stir fry including beef, chicken, shrimp, and veggies. Service was pretty good. We were seated fairly quickly. Our waitress was nice. The restaurant was clean. And there's a nice bathroom inside as well. We sat at a booth, which was convenient for our large party that included senior citizens and toddlers. Was it authentic Chinese? No. Was it the best Chinese food I've had? Definitely not even close. But ultimately it met our demands, satisfied our cravings, and we didn't feel sick or overly full after. It was a good Father's Day meal at the tale end of our week long adventure, and it provided a thoroughly enjoyable experience for us. read more

We came here for dinner after a long day at the park. We made a reservation andw ere seated right away. The restaurant is really clean and pretty and has ample seating. The food came out in like 5 minutes, which makes me think it wasn't fresh. My friend got the smoked duck bao buns that came with scallion and hoisin sauce. sadly they came out cold and we sent them back. I really enjoyed the wontons in chili oil and the crab rangoon. The dumplings had chicken, shrimp, and crab and they were in a tasty broth. The rangoon was good too but needed a duck dipping sauce. We didnt order any mains because at that point we were kind of over it. It wasnt awful, but we probably would return again. read more

The Nine Dragons Restaurant (Not 10) is located in the China Pavilion, the restaurant has a beautifully themed interior that reflects traditional Chinese architecture and decor. The menu features a variety of authentic Chinese dishes, including chili wontons and duck fried rice. Generally, the service is attentive and friendly, with staff knowledgeable about the menu items. I do recommend reservation especially during peak dining times because it is always packed. Nine Dragons Restaurant offers an enjoyable dining experience and instead of just a Nine, I would give it a Ten, making it a great choice for those looking to indulge in Chinese cuisine while visiting Epcot. read more

I went to this restaurant for New Year's Eve dinner, we booked in advance. We had no other option, but when I got there I saw they have a waiting list option. Their food was all right. I think it's more traditional, it was good not something. The flavors were really strong, every dish is about $28-35 + tax, so do your maths. The smoke duck bao buns was hard maybe expecting something else so we decided to do it for the experience. We order a traditional soup Sichuan shui zui beef - which is a wide glass noodle in chili oil broth. My boyfriend didn't like it that much. And glazed prawns with pistachios, the flavor was so strong and sour. But portions were massive. Don't get me wrong, it was different but a bit expensive compared to any other Chinese restaurants but yeah we were at Epcot. Once again we were opened to try something new. Service was great. Fast. Ambiance okay. It's right in front of the dragon where for new years has a Dj. That was awesome. My honest advice is check the menu first and enjoy the experience if you want to. We had planned ahead and made a reservation, but it turned out there was plenty of seating. The décor is beautiful, it felt authentic and so tranquil that it instantly sets the tone for a relaxing meal. Our waitress was an absolute delight and incredibly attentive, and service overall was very quick. The food was phenomenal. The restaurant is a nice escape from the them park crowds. It is very clean, spacious, & AC. Servers were very nice & attentive, which was the highlight. Drinks were on the "too sweet" side but still refreshing. Food was a bit over seasoned but still nice. The honey sesame chicken had really thick breading, not my taste but my friend really liked it. I wasn't expecting the ribs to be coated/breaded. I couldn't eat a whole meal of what we each ordered but thankfully we ate family style and shared. read more

I have been the nine dragons restaurant a couple times, and during both experiences the restaurant was quiet and fairly empty. The staff were also incredibly attentive. We started with the pot stickers appetizer. I really enjoyed this. However, if you are not a fan of strong flavors you might want to ask for the dumpling sauce on the side. My partner and I both really enjoyed the chicken dishes. Honestly, I preferred the spicy honey chicken over the other option. But both were good. Also, while the portions look visually small, they did a great job filling you up. It is of course Disney pricing, but honestly, it's not even that bad compared to many of the other restaurants at Epcot. read more

Out of all the times we have been to Epcot we haven't been here before -- I am SO happy we decided to try it out today. We were all starving from our flight in.. and soaked from the storm while entering the park. Upon entering we were greeted so sweetly by the hostess. We noticed all the details in the dining area and decor, everything was beautiful! Nine Dragons in Epcot's China pavilion looks like royalty from the outside. Carved wood, ornate glass, glowing lanterns--it's palace-level theming. You walk in expecting to dine like an emperor, and what you actually get is... Chinese takeout with a markup. It's the only place in Disney where the décor is five stars and the food is three. The menu is a greatest-hits playlist of American Chinese food: orange chicken, fried rice, sweet-and-sour pork, General Tso's. You've had it all before--probably out of a white cardboard box at 2 a.m.--and it tasted about the same. This isn't cultural immersion, it's Panda Express with better lighting. And the history? Nine Dragons opened in 1985, back when Epcot's World Showcase was pitched as a passport to cuisines most Americans hadn't tried. Back then, it worked--orange chicken felt exotic. But in 2025, when you can get authentic Sichuan hotpot in most major cities, Nine Dragons feels stuck in the food court era. It's less discovery, more déjà vu. The service is great--friendly cast members who deserve medals for keeping a straight face when handing you a $28 plate of lo mein. The real magic trick here isn't the dragon décor, it's how fast your wallet gets lighter. Eating here is fine--it's not bad, it's just forgettable. The orange chicken is crisp, sweet, predictable. I had looked up what to get and settled on the short ribs. Flavor was on point however the ribs were dry and tough. I've had softer beef jerky. The tea was great and our waitress was nice. It was a cold, rainy January day at EPCOT. We were looking for a light lunch that we could eat inside with heat. We found Nine Dragons and were so glad we did. With some Jasmine and Oolong tea to warm us, we decided to order a number of plates and split everything. We chose honey sesame chicken that came with fried rice, veggie spring rolls, and chicken pot stickers. It was a perfect amount of food for the four of us. Service was excellent. I asked for some honey with our tea and our server found a way to get some to us despite being out of the usual tea honey packets. The food was delicious. Nine Dragons is nestled in the China pavilion of Epcot and very intentionally highlights the broad spectrum of Chinese cuisines, while being a little more tame to be friendly to the American palate. I was pleasantly surprised by the spicy happy family and the sichuan cucumbers, while the duck fried rice was an indulgent treat. The staff were wonderful, as can be expected at a Disney table service restaurant. Overall a solid choice for a break from park touring. read more

I really like this restaurant. It's located in the China pavilion in Epcot. There is a fast quick service restraint right outside of it. I enjoyed eating here. The food comes out nice and fresh. The staff are always very kind and attentive. And the flavors are really awesome. I definitely would rather eat here than the quick service outside. The quality of the food is very different. For a better quality meal you want to eat in the nine dragons restaurant. It gives me a very China dim sum house feel and I like it a lot. The restaurant could not be mistaken for anything other than a Chinese restaurant. It is a large place. For my entrée I ordered their Honey Sesame Chicken, I do like nuggets of chicken with a sweet sauce, even if it doesn't give you a complex flavor experience. I'm a simple person and can eat simple food. The food only took about 7 minutes. Initially I wasn't overly impressed, the first chicken piece seemed a little doughy and there was not enough sauce, but by the time I finished I was on board. While the chicken wasn't crispy it was still fine, the sauce was not overly sweet and there was enough sauce accumulated at the bottom of the bowl to use with all of my jasmine rice. We got dessert. My wife and I shared a Chocolate Hazelnut Crepe Cake, a 9 layer stack of crepes each separated by whipped cream, cool with a light chocolate flavor. I liked eating it, the crepes providing both substance and texture. Our server was very nice and patiently helped my wife decide what to order, even checking with the kitchen regarding a question. She made our visit better. Nine Dragons is one of the restaurants that offer a dining plan where for a fixed price you can also get a sticker that will get you into an evening concert without having to stand in the standby line. We were able to do that and were moved watching the popular Candlelight Processional that evening. read more

It had been 10 years since I had eaten here. I remember the food being great. I had heard the quality had gone down over the years, but decided to try. The service was good. Server was helpful & answered questions. Truly he was one of the main highlights and why this is even getting 3 stars. I ordered the duck fried rice. The food was very bland. I even asked for chili sauce on the side, but that truly did not help. The duck was over cooked & the way too many eggs in the "fried rice". He really enjoyed this restaurant and it was really special to me that he liked it so much. I also really enjoyed the food so much. I think that the food here is fantastic and I love eating in here. There was an all beef option that had 3 peppers, which I would have ordered since nothing is ever very spicy when I order Chinese, but I'm very happy I chose the other. This dish included beef, chicken and shrimp and it was spicy and delicious! The heat was perfect, maybe even a little over the top. Can't imagine what the 3 pepper dish would have been like. While on a training trip in Walt Disney World, we were at Epcot for part of one of our days. I'm not usually a lunch person, but since this wasn't a family trip, a group of the ladies made a reservation at Nine Dragons. It was very aesthetically pretty inside with beautiful lights and room dividers. They had a very nice selection of lunch options and they also offered a lunch special with a drink, an appetizer and a meal. I opted to do the honey sesame chicken. It was outstanding. Sometimes the breading overtakes the chicken, but in this case, the breading was light and crisp, and there was plenty of chicken. They make their own honey sauce and it was outstanding. One of the ladies I was with ordered the Stuffed Crab Claw, which had quite the presentation. Another lady I was with ordered the Wontons in Chili Oil and the last ordered the General Tao's Chicken Shumai. Everyone was very pleased with their food. Is it the best Chinese I have ever had, no. Would I go here again for lunch or even dinner, yes! It was a nice, unexpected surprise and I highly recommend. Definitely make reservations ahead of time, though. By the time we left, there was a huge crowd in the lobby waiting. read more

I've had a lot of Disney meals, and this is by far my least favorite. There is no wonder that you can easily get a reservation here at any point. The food isn't bad, but it's very basic and not special Chinese food (or America's version thereof). I didn't finish my meal it was so heavy feeling. The tea I ordered with my meal was nice, but none of the food was very good. It was very loud and busy, and not cheap either simply because it's a table service restaurant. I think this place gets overlooked and maligned for no real good reason. I admit that even I have passed over this place for the more exciting restaurants of Japan, Italy, Germany, and Canada. Even so, the food is actually pretty good and the service was great for us. This is a pretty standard "fancier" Chinese restaurant. You can get things like Kung Pao Chicken, Honey Chicken, spring rolls, and potstickers. The food came out VERY fast and VERY hot which was perfect for my family. I went with the Spicy Honey Chicken which was excellent. The potstickers were also quite good. A quick shout out to a very good unsweet iced tea. As for service, it was pretty good, but we had a rocky start with the host. They seemed to be surprised that we were coming even though I had a reservation from the first day I could get one. The actual server was the highlight of the meal. She was an older woman, but was very attentive and kept giving me glasses upon glasses of iced tea. She was a little nutty, but it was memorable which was what you wanted. The only "downside" is that the menu is a little bit on the smaller side (especially for a Chinese restaurant at Disney). The restaurant is inside Disneyworld Epcot at the country China. You can either make a reservation on the app or simply walk in and be put on the waitlist. We came around 6:30 pm on a Sunday and there was no wait and we were immediately seated. We ordered: Sweet and sour soup $9 Crispy duck fried rice $28 Byjo Mo (alcoholic drink) $15 Lychee blossom (alcoholic drink) $15 Neither dish was good at all. The sweet and sour soup was too sweet and too sour. I could not finish it because of how overwhelming the flavor was. The crispy duck was okay as well. It was crispy on the outside but the meat itself was dry. The fried rice was also flavorless and tasted like no seasoning was put on it. The only thing I could really taste was the hoisen sauce drizzled on top of the fried duck. Overall it was not worth it to come here at all. I would recommend spending your money elsewhere. Both drinks were okay. The lychee drink tasted like nothing at first. I mixed it a bit and was able to taste the lychee but was unable to take the flavor or feel the alcohol at all and I'm a lightweight. The byjo mo tasted good and citrusy. You can definitely taste the alcohol in that drink so I would recommend you get this if you like pineapple juice and alcohol mixed together. read more

It's so easy to find vegan options at Disney World. However at Nine Dragons you can only get a small plate of stir fry with a few pieces of tofu and veggies. It was like an appetizer. After this I went to Rose and Crown for some vegan fish and fries. Please add some more filling vegan options. Everywhere else in the park it's very easy to accommodate this. read more

This Disney table service restaurant was neither to die for nor was it terrible. It's just...a run of the mill Chinese restaurant. Nothing about the good stuff out more than any other place I've eaten, but it's not terrible either. I would say they kind of need to ramp up their game though with the prices of this establishment. Prices are on par with all the other sit down services at the resort, but the experience is not. It's just average. I could get this food and experience at any other Chinese restaurant. We had good enough service. Nothing was terrible about it, but it wasn't on par with other table service restaurants on Disney property. We have tried it and checked it off our list of places to try!
