I would give zero stars if I could. The sign said it has been in business 45 years. Which would be amazing but after trying it is extremely amazing. The service was borderline rude. I try not to use Yelp means of a Festivus performance to air grievances. More than a decade in the food industry insight into the subjectivity of each order and person. However, when I ordered almost $200 of food to be delivered at a specific time in order to feed a group of people, I assumed a delivery place with an option to set up time would be the perfect option. And I was wrong. The food showed up more than an hour prior to the requested time, which was 45 minutes before anyone would actually show up to eat the food. The poor delivery driver had no idea what to do and asked me if he should take the food back. I actually thought about it. When I called, the manager refused to get on the phone and left the uncomfortable conversation for the obviously recently hired hostess unfortunate enough to have answered my call. "The manager said that he's sorry but he doesn't know what to do," she said to me. How about at least you offer my delivery fee and my overly generous 20% tip to be put back on my card? Maybe tell me you're going to remind the high teenager on Expo to double check drop times on online orders. The mediocrity of the food was much more than just having to sit for 60 minutes waiting for people to arrive to eat. The sweet-and-sour chicken looked like the container had dredged the bottom of a 10 time used fry basket. Small chunks of over cooked breading with no chicken, an almost manic joke of the American french fry, rattled in the box. The wontons had far more rather than filling, to a degree that made me wonder if there was no filling was a wonton wrapper still a wonton? The generals chicken, or whatever it was called, had completely congealed into a singular mass taking the shape of its original container. The meal was almost artistic in that thematically every aspect, the delivery, the phone call, and the food itself all tasted of disappointment. For Fargo, ND, I guess this restaurant is okay. I have definitely had much better Chinese food elsewhere but I don't have very high hopes for good Chinese food in this part of the country. I asked for my food to be extra extra spicy and it came out negative mild. I actually don't think they know what spicy food is but again I chalked it up to being in Fargo. My mom had pizza and the pizza was pretty darn tasty. Not the best but also not the worst pizza either so that was a win. read more

Terrible costumer service, When we had a grievance that our order was done incorrectly the person said: we were at fault. When we asked to speak to the manager the guy got on his high horse; saying, he was the manager (and continued to say it was our fault instead of taking responsibility for their messup). We have ordered from there before and this experience has opted us never to go back. Learn to take responsibility when you mess up! Reviewing on behalf of my mom that was in there this evening. I do not appreciate the red headed girl screaming at my mother that she was seated in a "closed area". Is it that difficult to just ask if they would move? After they were screamed at, they asked to refund their pizza since it didn't come out on time and they wanted to leave. The pizza was refunded but the manager left the tip on there. My mom had to specifically request the tip be taken off her tab because why on earth do you think Ms. Redhead deserves a dime? Slapshot has been our go-to pizza place for years. It used to be good, reliable food. What we got yesterday was a massive disappointment. Ordered pizza, cheesy bread and fried chicken. The chicken dish was bland, soggy fries and 1 piece of fried chicken that was more breading/bones than chicken. They also seem to have replaced their crust with those premade rounds you get at the grocery store -- flat, doughy and flavorless. I tried to like it, or at least tolerate it, but I ended up throwing away over half of a pizza. Waste of time and money. Seriously disappointing. We got home late one night and wanted some Chinese and this was the only place open so we ordered. When we got the food, my Kung Pow Chicken was incredibly soggy and mushy, almost like it was under a heat lamp for hours, and we ordered Pork Lo Mein, which actually showed up with incredibly thin noodles, almost like ramen and tasted incredibly bad. I couldn't even eat a small amount. We also got Cream Cheese Wantons and they were absurdly huge, half the size of my hand with a small ball of cream cheese in the bottom. I called in my order and was quoted 60-90 minutes for delivery, which was okay, It's the day after Christmas and -14. The food arrived right about an hour later and I just feel really "meh" about it. The pepperoni pizza is okay and I liked the egg rolls, but everything else was not good. Nothing was hot; I live one mile away so that alone is ridiculous. The rice portion was tiny compared to the watery Mongolian beef portion, the cream cheese wontons breading was too thick and the cream cheese was dried out. I would not order again. IF I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD. I called and specifically told them what I wanted. I was put on hold twice and then asked again what I wanted to order. When I received the order the one dish was completely wrong than how I had asked for it. Neither manager I talked to could have cared less about how they treated me as a customer. The impression they left is, the customer is always wrong. Supposedly they are supposed to read back your order, which I can't recall if he did, and tell them they have it wrong. Than it's your fault. it. Unless Nine Dragons records the calls we can't prove it. If they did record it and I was wrong I would accept it and move along. I should have guessed when I walked in the place what I was getting. I got the nine dragon platter and most of it taste like it was fried in old oil and a good amount of the items were over cooked. The rolls were burnt, some of the wings were a bit burnt and all of them were dry well other than the large amount of grease on them. I would say all in all the food is edible, so if you are starving to death and you were right outside the door I would say it would help you live but if you feel you can make it a little further then go somewhere else. This is honestly by far one of the WORST restaurants that I've ever been to. I ordered a plate that contained a wonton and asked if I could substitute it and the cashier said yeah, WITHOUT letting me know that there was a substitution fee of $2.25! My mom also ordered an Indian taco that had cilantro..? She also asked if her order would come with sour cream, the cashier again said yeah, THEN PROCEEDED to charge her $0.50 with no warning. It's not like the charges are particularly large, it's just flat out rude to charge a customer extra for something without giving them the proper warning. This place does not deserve poor reviews. In business since the 80's they moved and evolved to be more of a delivery place. The chinese menu is different and the food is fresh and very good. Unless you are obsessed with the mediocre and boring buffet food offered in town you will find this to be very good and worthy of a classy sit down restaurant which they originally were. The dining room now is more of a fast food atmosphere but the lunch special is a great combination of pick your own items for your plate. I love the huge wontons and the lomein is wonderful. I just left Mine Dragons, I ordered vegetable Lo Mein no mushrooms, when they called my number, I seen a different dish, I asked what this was and the girl said vegetable chow mein, I said I ordered vegetable lo mein, and she printed the receipt out and took it to the girl who took my order, she said she read it back to me but she didn't, when I was telling her the order, she said it correctly, but she protract it up wrong and for that, they said if I wanted to order a new order for low mein, I would have to pay again!
