What happened to NiMo's? We returned for the first time in a couple of months and were surprised by the menu and other recent changes. The food was still mostly quite good, though all of our old favorites are gone. Sadly, it feels like they are trying really hard to cut costs. [[HIGHLIGHT]]First, it was hot inside. Like they aren't running their a/c sufficiently anymore and we didn't want to stay too long level hot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Second, we ordered the spinach dip as an app. It was a decent portion of dip, but came with 2 small and thin pieces of toasted bread. Not enough for our party of 4 or for the portion of dip itself. We ordered more bread ($1 per slice) and that still wasn't enough for the portion of dip. Weird to need to order like $6 in thin strips of bread to go with the dip... That said, the dip, pizzas, and other items were tasty and I'd recommend -- with just one exception. The lamb chops. 4 tiny chops all well done (no one asked us for a temperature choice). Felt like they reduced the portion and we didn't get a fresh batch. Ate here for the first time tonight. The wait staff is good and polite. The food was tasty but served cold. My steak and rice both came out twice cold. It's a trendy drink bar with a side restaurant. 21 food items on the menu and 29 drinks not including soft drinks. Side portions are small and a slice of pita is $4. It's not worth it. read more

OMG we will be back for more! Not one negative thing to say...we arrived just before 5pm and had the falafel bites & wings off the bar bites menu and they were delicious. We decided to continue with the cauliflower, lamb chops, octopus & a meatball/ricotta pizza that were all to die for. Great service, nice atmosphere but the food lacked a wow factor. The pistachio dessert bar was poor, heavy and not enjoyable for $25. The lebneh and green hummus are specific flavors that are hit and miss. The wood fired pita was great! Blue crab salad was good. The churrasco steak was ok though not a classic chimichurri and the daily fish was acceptable but not flawless. I might go back but this is very B/ B- overall for food. read more

Amazing experience at NiMo in Tequesta !! My daughter recommended one of her favorite restaurants in the Jupiter area and we were not disappointed with NiMo! We started with an octopus appetizer, which we both agreed was the best we've ever had. I ordered the short rib entrée, and it was exceptional! My husband chose a skirt steak, which was amazing. First time at brand new Tequesta restaurant. Jaime was our server and she was simply awesome. Ordered from Happy Hour menu and regular menu as well. Had cab by M Merus which was great! So excited to try a new place in the area. We sat at the bar and had Darwin as our bartender who was amazing! Very friendly and great to talk to. He gave us great suggestions since it was our first time eating there. He's the best! I had the tequilla old fashioned and it was off the charts good. Nice twist with amaretto in it instead of typical simple syrup. For appetizers we shared za'tar wings that were perfectly seasoned and nice change from typical wings. They were served with tzakiki sauce which was also a nice twist. We also shared a Caesar salad with falafel croutons. Super flavorful and perfect amount of dressing. For our entrees we had the chicken with grits and salsa verde that was also so creative and flavorful. Cooked perfectly. The churrasco steak was a nice portion and also cooked to perfection. The restaurant itself is so pretty. There's a nice garden area to sit and the bar is both in the indoor and outdoor spaces of the restaurant. I highly recommend NiMo Coastal Mediterranean. I consider myself a foodie and am a home chef. I have been blown away by the quality of the food at this wonderful new restaurant. The Taziki is the best Taziki I have ever eaten, and the homemade pita is to die for. The grilled octopus and appetizer skewers are outstanding. One night I had the special black grouper in a Calabrian chili drizzle which was off the charts delicious. We have eaten there now five times in the last three weeks. Each time has been outstanding. The service is phenomenal and the ambience is refreshingly different. The other great thing about NiMO is that it is open seven nights a week and their happy hour food and beverages are a real draw. Arrived rainy Sat. night,checked in & inside dining area was freezing & packed. They reserved a table for our party of 6 outside where the floor was dangerously wet from the retractable roof leaking. We were seated in the only dry but damp & drafty area in back. Our server was pleasant & knowledgeable. I asked if we could get heater that was by our area,he said he would see what he could do(which was Nothing). My friend's caesar salad was not tasty.Our eggplant appetizer was a very thin slice with non descript sauce & burrata,we asked for bread, chose sourdough which they charged $2 for 1 slice cut in 2 halves. 2 of us ordered the lamb chops which were mushy & chewy. Mgr or owner not sure what his postion was asked if everything was good & we told him. He said he would check in the kitchen but never acknowledged our dissatisfaction or discomfort sitting outside. 1 dinner was skirt steak which was "terrible". Wonderful meal and experience tonite. The booth was comfortable, decor was cozy, music was good and restaurant even felt bordering on hip as it filled up. We had a lamb app, veggie pizza and jumbo prawns which were all excellent. The chicken kebab entree was outstanding. Service was perhaps slightly less attentive than it could have been but more than suited our needs. Such an excellent addition and change of pace from the typical north palm beach county restaurants. three stars is primarily for service and ambience, and also for good wine choices. The menu is very expensive. Entrees are largely fish/meat only with condiments for 35-70$. Vegetables are available as a separate starter or entree and are not included in the entrees. We had 3 happy hour appetizers, and learned that they are just half portions of the regular appetizers, so no discount. The fish app was 4 pieces of very thin slice or 1cm3 cubes, maybe half an ounce at best. The pizza and wings were just OK. We will travel for great restaurants but also happy with good food in any setting. This was waayy over priced for the quality and lack of balance in the entrees. read more
