Staff is rude and disrespectful. They don't honor appointments or respect time. I'm going to go a step further and say if you're Black, take your dollar somewhere else. Ultimately, ANY specific or special requests here are viewed as problematic and will get you labeled and talked about -- possibly even yelled at. Yes, yelled at. I came in at 4 on my last visit and was asked to come back at 5 for a fill and pedicure. By 6:15, dyeing my very long pedicure process-- when I asked why no one has started my nails, I was yelled at then ignored while I watched them take new walk ins and pretend they had "appointments". By virtue of the fact I was asked to come back at 5, didn't I have one as well? Another patron noticed this and also mentioned it had happened to her there. The manager ignored it and pretended not to notice. The whole vibe of the staff is that they are basically doing you a favor. Please. Nothing could be further from the truth. The work is barely acceptable -- but it's close to home. I finally directly asked the manager why I was forced to wait and she fed me something about being short staffed. However, I later watched yet another patron get both hands and feet serviced at once, so I have no idea. I will say there is one man there who does an okay job, but to my sadness he was absent that day. Thus, I had to settle for whomever I got. She was nice enough, but her talent was limited -- to put it nicely. My fill looks worse than my original new growth. She didn't even remove the lifting product first. All bad. I'll need to remove these by the end of the week to protect the integrity of my nails. Oh and remember I arrived at 4 -- I left at 7:50. So much for an early drop in. This is solely for the tech who did my nails. I've gone for pedicures and they were good. I came in with my natural nails to remove the acrylic overlay. The lady sits me down and starts ripping my nails off. Not filing or soaking but ripping them off. This is how my nails were. I complained and she basically made me feel as though I was the problem. When I communicated it's my natural nails with acrylic overlay and I just want to remove the acrylic. She brings out nail clippers and I reiterate just soak off. My poor ring finger lost all its growth and my nails look so bad. I could've done this job. The other workers stayed silent until I asked to speak to the salon owner and showed them the work she did. They apologized and said they would make it right. Well there's no way to make my nails look grow back at this instance. I left and refused them touching my nails. Been here a few times since I've been temporarily staying in the area and it fit the bill for a fine, cheap, no frills place that takes walk-ins. However, after my visit today I won't be returning. This time I brought my partner and we both got manicures and pedicures. All 4 of the techs working on us seemed rushed, distracted, and in some cases quite rude. We had to ask (in some cases twice) for basic things like top coat after color polish was applied, or a hot towel to wipe off the excess lotion after the "massage". But what really sealed the deal was the fact that at the beginning, they showed us a printout of the different mani/pedi packages. We both chose the $55 package C, which they talked us out of saying that we should just get the deluxe pedi and "regular" mani. We agreed thinking we'd be saving money since my partner didn't need polish and I didn't want the scrub that came with the deluxe mani. Well, we ended up paying $65 for me and $68 for my partner ($5 extra for "buff and shine" instead of polish which is a joke in itself). So they got an extra $23 out of us with their dishonest trickery, hope it was worth it because we'll never be back. read more

I have come here on and off in the 10 years I've lived in the area and received the worst pedicure today. After being given a price sheet with detailed packages, I opted for package A (which also happened to be the cheapest and which was still more expensive than the combination of services as listed in the a la carte menu. I pointed this out to the nail technician who then proceeded to give me the most half assed pedicure of my life. Without any time to soak my feet she applied callous treatment for a few seconds (didn't even apply plastic on one foot) and then violently scrubbed off the treatment with a pumice stone almost immediately, scratching the bottom of one foot. She moved on to the scrub and again didn't bother to scrub the heels or bottoms of my feet before rinsing it off. While my feet were still well she squirted lotion on, and started to rub it into my skin along with the remaining sea salt. At this point I stopped her and asked her to please take the time to dry my feet. She was not apologetic at all and proceeded to treat me rudely. She polished my toes without even cleaning dirt from underneath the nails. There was no massage whatsoever (package stated 5 min massage and the client next to me who arrived later than me was getting a massage). I paid the cost of service because it is not my style to walk out on a service that was technically rendered, albeit terribly, but I did not tip at all. (I normally always tip 20% on all beauty services but again never experienced someone treating me in this manner). I will not be returning and caution anyone from going here. read more

I have been going here for years with my daughter's But the couple of times I've gone. Tom wasn't there and the lady started to take advantage. They did a horrible service. They did the opposite of what I wanted and they act like they don't understand you. I always give a good tip every time I go. I will pay for good service no matter how much it is. But they are getting lazy and they do half ass job now. They charge me more for a simple manicure and pedicure. Almost the same price as fake nails. And the gel they talk you into it abs say $5 more but they lie it's $30 for the hands and $30 for the feet on top of the 70 for the manicure and pedicure they say it spa. I mean they're usually busy, but when I got a pedicure there, the man who did the pedicure painted my toes but didn't actually clean them. I'm use to the pedicure cleaning the nail, clipping, polishing, basically making them clean and trimmed prior to paint. I didn't get that. I had to go home and clean them myself. The nails for the gel manicure are very thing and poor quality. They break easily! I broke 2 nails after 1 week. The manager Tom was not in so the lady at the front desk didn't want to help me (even though the salon was empty) so I tipped her $10 for 2 broken nail fixes. The next day another nail breaks. The manager Tom is there but he has someone else fix it. She charges me $4 for the third broken nail (not my fault) . So I paid $14 on top of that over $60 for this bad set. Tom told me if I ever break a nail to come in and he'll take care of it. When I tried to ask him about being charged he didn't say anything, everyone just ignored me. I didn't leave such a good tip for some reasons -I noticed in several places in the USA that they don't use disposable material for nails with fungus! And they don't leave that nail for the last so I'm always worried about contaminate my other nails! My friend and I happened upon this place via yelp when we wanted to get pedicures without an appointment. They had openings and we quickly got spa chairs. The massage chairs are better than most of these places. Good condition and a good massage! The people who run and work at the place are fun and pleasant. Cleanliness and health codes/ measures are really important here and seemed to be followed well. We did a paraffin wax and salt scrub along with 10 min massage. They give you a small bottle of water too. That's "option B" out of four add-on packages. So worth it! Looking forward to coming back for another pedicure and will try a manicure too.
