I went in a few weeks ago to try a hard gel manicure for the first time! Everyone was so nice and friendly when I walked in, and the studio is SO cute, clean, and welcoming - it felt like a whole experience! They offered me water, and I loved being able to watch a show on their big screen (which always makes long nail sessions less awkward and more fun). I went in today for a no polish pedicure. The staff was friendly and polite, and the studio is adorable, clean, and comfortable - unlike any nail salon i've been to. They offered me water and I got to enjoy Gilmore Girls during my service. Amanda did such a great job on my pedicure and I felt comfortable and relaxed the whole time. UPDATE: WORST NAIL SALON EXPERIENCE EVER. TL/DR: Unprofessional salon refused to refund gift certificate valued over ($100) after they were 30 minutes late for a scheduled appointment. After reading the owner's response, I feel more disappointed that we choose to even look at this salon at all. I am disappointed because my boyfriend acted in good faith and gave a business I never tried a chance. Ordinarily, if the business was impossible to reach by phone and difficult to schedule online, I would have passed, but he bought this gift certificate and I wanted to make sure it was not wasted. Guadalupe, my issue with your business is not that you were late (I mentioned this in my initial review - life happens and I know that I am guilty of it.) It's that your business was unprofessional. From neglected calls, to being late, to again not updating me knowing you were well past the time and how much longer you were going to take is what I take issue with. If I have a person in front of me and I can see that time flying by and I am still not ready? I offer if they would like to come back at a later time or reschedule. Posting that you are unable to take lunch? That is disturbing. This tells me there is an issue with time management, calls for more space between appointments, and (as I stated in my initial review) the need to hire someone else so you can focus on your passion. I would NEVER want someone to sacrifice a meal for the sake of giving me "good nails." That feels unconscionable and I would be ashamed if anyone I managed had to miss a meal to be at the beck and call of a customer. You would have given me a discount, but wouldn't refund the my gift certificate? I'm not sure how the two make sense. Additionally, as I mentioned before, you suggested that I give it to someone else? Why? So they can be made the feel the same way? All in all, I hope this is an eye-opening experience for the owner and she is able to look at what can be done to better her business for future success. read more

I can't say enough good things about G nails. Guadeloupe is an incredible nail artist. This is my second bio gel manicure and my first one lasted the FULL 4 weeks like she said it would! Literally I had lots of regrowth and zero chipping. Even the day before this appointment, I hit one nail so hard I knew my nail broke a little, and it did! But, the nail polish didn't chip and it had been 4 weeks!!! I also am not gentle on my nails. I have two kids under 5, no dishwasher and no housekeeper. My nails get beat up and G's bio gel manicure held up so well! In fact, I finally feel like I can grow my nails out a little because the manicure keeps them so strong. Did not actually get a chance to get my nails done with her. I made a reservation and paid a deposit but the day of my appointment she cancelled due to feeling unwell. I adjusted my schedule to come and see her a few days later but she told me she didn't know if she was going to take appointments at all so she cancelled my 2nd reservation. While I appreciate her being honest, I found her method of handling a potential future client rather odd. I understand that things come up but she also had an Instagram account that said otherwise as she took clients on the day I had scheduled my second appointment. I wish I could say something about her work or showmanship but I didn't even get that far as my first appointment was cancelled 30 mins prior to me showing up. I don't live close (almost 40 minutes away) and I was already in the neighborhood when she cancelled. I will travel for a salon that offers vegan nail options but her attitude was kind of "well I can't control things" and there was really no apology.
