She did a great job focusing on the features I like (eyes, lips), and enhancing my big cheeks and nose. Before my wedding I had my makeup done by another professional makeup artist and someone at Bobbi Brown...Avery's makeup was much better. After I got my trial run the day of my rehearsal dinner, my fiancee kept complimenting me on how great I looked. Little did he know I was sporting expertly-applied fake eyelashes! On my big day, Avery arrived 15 minutes early. She handled my family gracefully, and was so friendly and efficient. She also worked really well with my hair stylist (recommended by AWM). When they were both working on me I felt like a movie star. In addition, Lisa coordinated everything via email and was very responsive and professional. I was able to pay my deposit via PayPal which was really convenient.

Shannon also came to our hotel room on the day of the wedding and did makeup for my mom and three of my bridesmaids, each who were able to keep their beautiful individuality in the looks and each looked absolutely gorgeous. She was also very friendly, personable, and just really enjoyable to be around. I'm so thankful we found her and she was able to take part in making the day so special for all of us. I'd highly recommend Austin Wedding Makeup for reliable & high quality service!

The morning of the wedding, she and her hair stylist, Valentina, arrived bright and early. It felt like we were a bunch of ladies hanging out in our pajamas having fun doing our hair and makeup! Throughout our reception, I received raves for my makeup and hair! So many guests asked who did it and how it was perfect for the theme of the wedding! A friend even told me that she heard our co-worker say "WOW!!" when he saw me as I walked down the aisle. Her makeup was light and airy. I didn't even feel like I was wearing makeup and couldn't believe how well it survived the day. It lasted through photos, eating, toasting, and dancing and still looked amazing even when I reluctantly removed it that evening! When most of us asked for natural/neutral tones, Shannon delivered on her ability to make it work for each of our skin tones. Also, if you have questions or concerns about fake lashes, DON'T. I am so grateful that I booked Shannon and Melissa for my wedding…read more For my makeup, Shannon was great at taking into account my preferences and making me feel absolutely beautiful without feeling too made up. Melissa took such care and effort with my hair. She also asked me my preferences about whether I wanted the front tresses up or down..
