It was straight but still very frizzy with a ton of volume. The hairdresser didn't pull hard enough on the brush while blow drying to ensure a sleek and silky blow dry. I expected her to grab the flat iron as I didn't expect she was done. She didn't. I didn't say anything as I didn't want to hurt her feelings. I fixed what I could as soon as I got home with my flat iron. This place is definitely not recommend for a sleek-straight blow dry. I would not attempt this place again.

She even brought a photo showing exactly what she wanted. Instead, she left with hair cut up to her eyebrows in places, an uneven cut, and a hairstyle that looked nothing like the photo she provided. My daughter was in tears when she left. She is so upset and embarrassed by the result that she does not even want to go back to school. At 12 years old, self-image is incredibly important, and this experience has been devastating for her confidence. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the appointment myself due to severe allergies that prevent me from being in salons. My husband took her and, not knowing what else to do in the moment, paid $60 for a haircut that was clearly not what was requested. We returned to have it fixed, but there is only so much that can be done when so much hair has already been cut off. While the salon attempted to help, the reality is that you cannot put the hair back once it is gone. The most frustrating part is that my daughter's wishes were not listened to. We provided a clear reference photo and a simple request, yet she left with something completely different. she was completely taken advantage of because she was a kid and my husband wasn't sure what to do or say. Worst experience I've ever had…read more I had an appointment to get my hair done with Sam. I had ombre hair and wanted it touched up and brightened, I thought he understood me and he mentioned highlights so I said that would be fine to have a few natural highlights through because I stressed many times that I wanted a NATURAL look. Over the next four hours he proceeded to colour my hair and tend to other customers through my appointment which resulted in me having colour left to develop longer than it should have. One colour was supposed to be in for twenty minutes and ended up sitting in my hair for about an hour. Also his english was rough and he barely spoke above a whisper even while blowdrying right by my ears which made communication that was already tricky at best even worse. Not to mention the fact that I could barely understand him, he washed my hair with gloves on which was extremely painful, was very rough, didn't blow dry my hair properly so it took about 30 minutes to blow dry, and again was extremely rough to the point that I was almost in tears. Also he and the manager were bickering while he was washing my hair which was uncomfortable to be around. Halfway through I noticed that the colour on top of my head was orange and the highlights were white blond coupled with the bottom of my hair dark brown. I asked if the colour would change and he said it would lighten...but it did not. While he was mixing more colour another stylist asked me if I liked it and she could tell I didn't. She communicated this with him and he told me that if by the end I wasn't happy he could do certain things to fix it. By the end after another horrible hair washing experience and drying I looked like Christina Aigulera from her "dirty" days suffice it to say that it was not natural. Also as for the haircut he spent about 5 seconds snipping a bit away (the haircut portion alone costs 60$). I communicated that I didn't like the colour and he offered to fix it but at this point four hours in I was about to scream so I paid and left. He told me to come back in if I wanted a change. Two days later I called and asked to make an appointment and speak with the manager since I wanted it fixed but I wanted someone different to fix it since I could barely understand him. They made me an appointment for four the next day so I called at 11 that day to speak with the manager and explain the situation. She assured me that it would be fine and she would fix my hair. She told me to come at 3:45 to allow for more time for the colour. I arrived and she (Karen) told me she would be a few minutes as she had to tone someones hair so ok no big deal I waited. FIFTY MINUTES went by with noone speaking to me. Finally I went to her and asked politely if I should come back. She did not even apologize and told me it would be another ten. Eventually I was seen. She asked me about what I had previously communicated to Sam and I explained even though I felt like she was blaming me the whole time. Then she told me she couldn't lift the dark brown from my previously blonde hair as it would damage it even further so I had to settle for that. What followed was FIVE hours of basically waiting around while I was tended to here and there while she did, I kid you not four other full haircuts. Two mens including wash and dry and two womens including colour and highlights. By the end I was sitting under a blowdryer with dry hair while she cut someone elses hair. Sam the original stylist I didn't want came over and offered to cut and dry my hair because she was busy and by this point it was nearing close. I appreciate that this was very nice of him but it was super awkward for me. I don't like confrontation and even coming back to get my hair fixed was a big deal for me. In the end he finished my hair and I left in a hurry. They didn't charge me for fixing it nor should they have, I would have tipped but not after the service I received. This used to be my go to salon but now I will never go back. I felt like I was pushed aside as a nuisance when I had legitimate concerns and paid over 200$ the first time I went in. Coincidentally my friend happened to go a few days later and also had Sam for a cut and had a poor experience as did her sister with another stylist. I'm not sure if the stylists need more training or what needs to change there but it shouldn't have been the customers problem. I HIGHLY recommend avoiding this salon.

Not only did she do a great job but she also explained every step she took and why she was doing them. I learned so much. She educated me on how to make my hair treatment last the longest. I also appreciated her asking me what my budget was and gave me an idea of what the cost would be ahead of time so that it wasn't a big surprise at the end. Everyone was just super friendly. It was definitely a big splurge for me and it isn't cheap but it's also the experience in addition to the salon quality that you pay for.
