The plumber said the drain needed to be cleared from decades of kitchen waste. My father the cardiologist used to explain to patients when they needed a rotational atherectomy that it was like a "roto rooter" for clogged arteries. He didn't actually know what a roto router was. So I asked the drain guy if his procedure was like a rotational atherectomy, and he looked at me blankly. Well not all metaphors are useful but this service sure is.
