He said he suspected one of the heating elements has failed. Because of schedule issues told him it would be difficult to meet him at the property. He told me not to worry about it and he would take care of it. Mike came out a day or two later first to diagnose the problem. As he suspected, the elements needed to be replaced. By the end of the day the elements were replaced. He contacted me to let me know the status and left the bill on the table. I thought that was it, I was wrong. Early the next morning Mike text me that because no one was at the house he was stopping by to check and make sure everything was operating properly. Now that's taking the extra step. Thank you Mike. We recently had issues with our boiler…read more Knowing so very little about boilers, we initially had another service provider come out only to find that they specialize in another type of boiler. Ours is a steam boiler. Who knew? Well, probably we should have. But, we didn't. We still had heat and it was during a particularly bitter cold snap when we called. He let us know that since we were dealing with an issue (primarily noise) that wasn't actually causing an inability to use our boiler, he'd like to push out stopping by until the following week. We appreciated his kindness and consideration for those dealing with more dire issues and were perfectly happy to have him out the following week. He came out, promptly at the agreed upon time, and quickly diagnosed the problem and got it fixed in no time for a fair price. We couldn't be more happy with the service we received and will happily call upon Barth Boiler for any and all of our boiler needs in the future. He stated I would have it via email in a few days. I called the office on August 5th looking for it, the office personal reply was " we will reach out to him and have it completed and sent within 48 hours". On Aug 9th I called the technical directly. Both times we confirmed my email address. NO estimate ever arrived! If you are not interested in the work just be honest and say so. Would not recommend based on the lack of follow through with a simple estimate.

Heiden was able to get it flowing in order to see the cause. The pipe from the basement to the connection in the street needed replacement. They were able to use an underground process that did not disturb any of the landscaping and fixed the problem. They were both efficient and kind. They cleaned up everything. Not inexpensive, but MMSD has a program for pipe issues that does assist with the cost but you do have to use approved contractors. Heiden happens to be one of those contractors. After using them, I know why they are approved. They helped us in an emergency situation and I would highly recommend them.

Unfortunately, the area experienced heavy rainstorms, which put our project on hold while they handled more urgent work. Prior reviews may have expressed concern about punctuality, but there is no way to predict how long a plumbing issue might take to repair until the plumber actually arrives to assess the issue... So trust that your job will be done as thoroughly and well by Jeff or his brother as the one that may have caused a late arrival.
