We had a great diner delivered to our hotel on our way East, so on our way West I thought we'd eat here again. Went to the restaurant to order to go, and after 35 minutes I inquired about my food and of course the kitchen had lost our bill. The waitress was nice enough to comp me a free glass of beer while I waited, but when I got back to our hotel the food was cold and the sauce was not traditional. Nico's had great service for takeout. They were speedy. But the pizza left a lot to be desired. We had a mushroom, pineapple, tomato pizza. There may have been 6 mushrooms on the entire pizza. Vegetables are cheap. There's no reason not to load up. The crust was hard. Just not worth it. read more

Came here for an early dinner around 5PM, surprisingly the patio was pretty full when we arrived. I wanted to sit outside but was told there was a lot of bugs, so we ended up inside. I had looked at the menu online earlier and saw some combos, and I asked about them but was told it's for takeout only. That really didn't make much sense to me, and I almost wanted to say we'd have takeout then (but takeout generates a lot more trash via boxes and all so I didn't want to do that). We decided to get a lasagna because I really wanted to eat the fresh pasta, and we also got a small (10") Last Spike which had Italian sausage, pepperoni, caramelized onion, green pepper, mushroom, and arugula. We received our small Caesar salad first which had bacon bits and crutons, and the lasagna and pizza came out soon after, both piping hot. The pizza was pretty mediocre, not much flavor but not a lot of oil which I appreciated. The lasagna was oozing with cheese and delicious; I really liked the lasagna. I could taste the ingredients were light, and the lasagna wasn't mushy or stuck together as lasagnas often are. Even though it was a lot of food and we ate it all, we didn't feel heavy or loaded, I think thanks to both items not being very oily. I'd say the lasagna is a solid 4 stars, the pizza 3 stars, service was a bit lacking as I had to ask for a water refill and for our check to be served. First of all this has to be one of the most piss poor pizza places in Canada!! I don't even know where to begin, first of all I ordered a large 16" STIHL pizza for delivery. When it showed it it was barley luke warm!! My first bite tasted like I was eating yesterdays pizza, the dough must of been made days before and was no where near fresh it was extremely hard and chewy. Secondly the pizza had absolutely zero pizza sauce!! It was like eating dry cardboard for 50 dollars!! The toppings were also extremely scarce!! I don't understand how this places charges more for pizza then any other place I have been and can't even execute on the simple things ( fresh, hot, and edible) I would be embarrassed to be serving the fine people of revelstoke this garbage. I recommend eating anywhere else but this place. ( the big eddi is an amazing spot fyi) save your money and move on. read more

Rude and dominating staff. We ordered pizzas for delivery, Pizza was specifically mentioned vegetarian no meat, Pizza was delivered with meat. Food delivered an hour late, Pizza delivered with meat and pizza mishandled Missing items When the restaurant was called to inform about wrong pizza the staff was very rude and hesitant to refund the money. The restaurant server who took the order over the phone dominated over the phone that they have made no mistakes, after couple of phone calls and a lot of request I was forced to drive down to restaurant and claim my refund as if they are doing me a special favour by refunding the order When I reached restaurant I met the server I gave the feedback about wrong and missing items the team was rude and said they don't want a feedback and leave. The server was violent when I left the restaurant she came and banged the door. We came in as a group of four on a somewhat busy Friday night. We were not given menus so went and grabbed some ourselves. When the server finally came over with water for the table we were all ready to order. We each ordered a different pizza- one with a gf crust. An hour later we finally got our pizzas. The gf crust was burnt and we all found our pizzas bland and our crusts nearly inedibly chewy. We really wanted to like the place because the vibe was nice and the woman taking our order was very friendly. Unfortunately, this is the worst pizza we have had in several years. We ordered a neapolitan crust with cheese and tomato sauce, very simple. We came in at 8pm after a long drive from Vancouver. The town of Revelstoke is a nice quiet town so around that time it seems like everything is closed. Driving around we see Nico Pizza and there were people in there eating so we decide let's try it. When we walked in we were greeted at door by a very friendly guy that looks like a skater/ snowboarder. He gave us a menu and we started looking through it. I wanted the small turtle creek pizza which had smoked salmon, capers, and onions. My partner had his pepperoni pizza(never changes). While waiting we had a great look around of the decor. I was right! They must be owned my skater snowboarders, there were snowboards and paintings that gave me a clue. And the whole staff were wearing the same outfit like that show Rob and big but it's Rob's attire really. I decided I was too tired to eat the pizza there so we got it for take out, plus the beer from Steamworks was calling my name. The staff were very quick in making our pizza so we didn't have to wait long. Once we got to the hotels I got a good look at the pizza and it looked yummy. It's very close to how Famoso makes theirs but the crust is a bit different but tasty just the same. I will definitely be back here again when passsing through. read more

Love poutine? Try the powder monkey pizza. It's basically a poutine pizza add garlic butter & bacon. OMG it's so good. Had it on the regular crust & I thought it was perfect. The hubs thought the fries were over the top so he took them off & I added them to mine. YUM O! Service was very good. We also had a ceasar salad & added the donair meat to it. Very good & best ceasar dressing we had during out 10 day road trip. We had at least 5 Caesar salads so that's saying something. The music was a little too loud but, I guess that's part of the vibe. We will go back next time we are in the area. It wasn't so loud that if would deter us from more of the delicious pizza. Wonderful restaurant!! I'm a sucker for any mention of bacon chowder soups so Nico's sidewalk board got us inside the restaurant, and the lovely friendly young Quebecois server sold us on service, and before we knew it we were devouring delicious huge bowls of thick chowder, and ordering a gluten free pizza and cesar salad to go for later. Our entertainment bonus was watching a back country skiing video from around the world. Spotlessly clean restaurant too. A totally unexpected excellent discovery. Pizza was awesome, service not so much. Server was very disorganized which made the ordering/ paying process very tedious. Her friends (assumingly) came in, and she ignored us and everyone else for quite some time. If I'm being honest, she was obviously pretty stoned and just created an annoying experience. Then when we were paying and left a 10% tip, and she openly mocked us for it "thanks so much for the tip, you're really helping a ton, you are so generous." We rolled through revelstoke on a hot, crowded summer day and struggled to find a place to eat with availability outside so we could sit with our dog. Nico was the only place we could find. The pizza was pretty good but they warned us the kitchen was backed up and would take an hour for food. Quite a few of their beers were out too. As we were driving to our camping spot, my wife and I had to pass through Revelstoke and as we knew we were going to pass through, we decided to stop and grab a bite. On the way, one of the billboards said Nico's Pizzeria (usually I avoid this...for some reason, it worked though) and so we drove into Revelstoke and stopped here. We decided as it's pizza and the day was getting late and we wanted to set up our camping spot, we would take it to go. We got the Margherita as well. it's a simple pizza and would be easy to eat and drive at the same time as I wouldn't have to worry about toppings falling off as I'm driving. So we ordered the margherita. "20 minutes"....didn't know they took that long, but anyways, we left, drove around, walked around, came back, pizza was ready, we upped and left. Note: the place is cabin like inside and has skateboards and snowboards on the walls. The staff is french canadian (at least the guy working the till was) So on to the pizza. The crust was nicely cooked and had a nice browning to it. The margherita had tomatos on it (different) but was good. Word of note though. The tomatoes were very hot when biting into it. There was a generous amount of cheese - to the point that it was actually too much. Very good and not exactly what i was expecting in Revelstoke. Bonus: Pizza boxes are really good for starting a controlled camp fire. read more

We were staying for the night in Revelstoke and stumbled upon this amazing place! This isn't your typical run of the mill pizza parlour. When you walk in you get a place that has customized skateboard decks on the walls, which is very cool. We had a pizza and a baked pasta with Caesar salad. The Caesar salad dressing was homemade and had chunks of bacon in it. The toppings for the pizza were under the cheese which is the way I like it and the pizza sauce was delicious. Everything tasted freshly made. When we stop by Revelstoke in the future we will be making our way in to town just to eat here again! read more

We were wandering around Revelstoke tonight and someone stopped to let us know that Nico's is the best pizza in town so we thought we would give it a shot. The place was quite busy, and considering no where else in town was busy we figured that was a good sign. We decided to start with the spicy poutine, which was poutine with their in house made hot sauce and chorizo sausage and jalapeño added to the regular. I have to say it was THE BEST POUTINE I have ever had. I honestly tried to convince my fiancée to order another one with me but we still had pizza coming so he declined sadly. The pizza took a little while to come out and unfortunately the waitress rang in the wrong one and it was covered in olives which I do not like. She quickly came over, apologized and let us keep the olive pizza (for the fiancée to eat while waiting). Both pizzas were fantastic, clearly completely made in house and so many fresh tasty ingredients. If you're around Revelstoke and can't decide what to eat make sure you check Nico's out! read more

We were so pleasantly surprised! I had the Caesar salad and the other 2 in our party had spinach salad. We all agree that they were excellent. In fact, the Caesar salad was the best I've ever had! I've never had so much dough on a pizza in my life, they could have easily made 2 separate sane sized pizzas with the amount of dough used to make mine. It was enough dough where I wanted to take it. We came in for a quick bite after skiing on a Saturday and were quite unhappy with both the service and the food. The place was half empty, yet our server took ages to even acknowledge we were there, let alone take our orders. After that, she never checked in again. The food was meh, and it wasn't until we flagged our server down again that we could actually pay our bill and leave.
