Definitely fresh! We were the only ones in the place for the first 10 minutes or so, so they just cooked up whatever pizzas we wanted for the buffet, which was awesome. They even offer a gluten-free option- it costs an extra dollar or something, but you get your own whole gluten-free pizza and can take leftovers home instead of having the pizza bar. You still get access to the soup and salad bars. BC Pizza is some of my favorite pizza, and I will definitely return for the buffet!

The Short's Brewing Company Pull Barn is a cool concept and great for summer months. It was pretty busy but we were able to snag a picnic table outside. They also have some limited indoor seating as well as a huge lawn where you can picnic or bring camp chairs. The space is definitely kid-friendly and they even have a sandbox. Dogs are allowed outside as well. The beer list is pretty extensive and it was fun to try some new things like a ginger-lemongrass cider and their passionfruit canned rose wine, which was so good I bought some to take home. They don't have their own kitchen, but there were two food trucks on site and their website says you can order takeout from a nearby restaurant too. They had a musician playing the night we were there and the vibes were chill and relaxed, which I liked. I'd definitely come back in the future if I'm up this way again!
