It caters to a clientele that's mostly Gen X's with a few Boomers and Gen Y's mixed in. It's definitely an alternative to the typical sports bar scene that attracts the meat market, d-bag, bro and hipster crowd. I've got to tell you that this is a great place to relax after a rough day. If you feel like putting your feet up and talking with a few friends or maybe even if you want to bring in a book and sit and read for a while, there's an uber comfortable love seat and some chairs that are very butt friendly. You can grab a cocktail at the bar or have a seat at one of the tables and order some dinner to be brought over from the attached China Bell Restaurant. The Spicy Crab Rangoon are wonderful by the way... This is a legit cocktail lounge. They have a full bar and Carla the bartender pours a good drink. Their beer selection covers all the basics and they've got a few crafts for variety. This place only has two Yelp reviews even though they've been here for about 2 years now, so I'm going to call this place a true hidden gem. It's one of my favorite places to go for cocktails. Want to join me sometime?

Top 5 Wing Spot Alert -- Galloway Tavern…read more Let's get straight to it: if you're serious about wings, Galloway Tavern belongs on your list. I've been on a personal tour of Columbus wing joints, and this spot has easily earned a Top 5 ranking. I came here on a tip from my brother and his friend who swore the wings were "worth the drive." And I mean deep West Side drive. If you're not from the area, I'll be real -- the vibe at first glance might throw you. It's the kind of place you second-guess from the parking lot. But walk in, sit down, and give it five minutes -- because it turns out to be one of the most welcoming and cool little bar spots around. I ordered the Hot Garlic Wings (6 count) and they were outstanding. Crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and seasoned before being sauced -- a detail more places need to get right. Flavor was bold without being overpowering, and they came out fresh, not rushed. I'm already planning a return for the Carolina Gold or Sweet Chili. They keep it straightforward with drinks -- bottled Pepsi products and water. No fuss, just the basics. Atmosphere -wise, it's very much a West Side bar -- local energy, regulars at the counter, music low enough to talk over. The people were kind, the staff was attentive, and once inside, it feels easygoing and familiar. It's the kind of spot where someone might compliment your glasses or say little to nothing at all -- totally unexpected, totally sincere. First-Timer Notes: * Wings are the move. Start with Hot Garlic. * Don't judge the book by the cover -- inside is chill, safe, and welcoming. * Beverage options are bottled and simple. * There's a front and rear entrance -- the rear might not have the "open" light on, but it's good to go. * Parking is fairly easy.

Those plans were ruined. We had to come back home to eat. It was our first and last time visiting there. Food was good but the place was dead. Meh, it is what it is

The inside is tiny with like ten tables. The bar is also small with only about eight stools. The menu is one page (Gordon would be proud), just the front for lunch and dinner. The back is the breakfast menu. They do have some craft beer but only in cans and bottles. They have a much bigger liquor selection. We started with beers, CBC IPA in a can for me, and a Stella bottle for my man. I ordered the fried mushroom basket for a starter. For my meal, I got the grilled chicken sandwich with fries. My man got his normal order, a cheeseburger. The mushrooms were good, even my man had a couple. My chicken sandwich was also very good, nice and juicy. So good I cleaned my plate, I usually cannot finish my meal and have to take half of it home. My man's cheeseburger was very good and yes, he ate the whole thing. Their outside seating is huge compared to the inside seating. They even have a stage for live music. Prices were great!! Especially with the horrible inflation right now. We will definitely be back.

It starts off with biscuits on the bottom, put some fried potatoes on it, then add some sausage gravy, then some cheese and finally a Bunch of crumbled bacon. Trust it's a bunch of food. The biscuits were nice and fluffy. The fried potatoes were cooked perfectly (I'm coming back to try them separately). The sausage gravy was a good consistency but could have used a little pepper added to it. They piled on the crumbled bacon and it had a great flavor to it. Top all that with some stringy cheese and you quite the mountain of food. It is a small but reasonably sized room inside. They have multiple tv's for sports. Maybe ten tables and a bar counter. My waitress was very friendly and checked on me a number of times. They also have a small bar dog. It definitely hung out by me while I was there. I will definitely be back that French Toast looks yummy and some of those fried potatoes. They also have an outside patio for summer.
