I worked with Nicolette for 6 months and I am so grateful for our time together (I moved to a new city which is why we stopped our sessions). When we began working together she took a comprehensive assessment about my wholistic health history + goals, and from there she created a plan to help me reach my goals. Each new workout was tailored to my progress and special requests. She is kind, fun and tough - if your form isn't correct, she will make you work until you get it right! I highly recommend Nicolette if you're looking to achieve a range of health and fitness goals! read more

I first started seeing Nicolette for personal training in 2017 with the goal of getting stronger for my yoga practice. It was the first time that I ever saw a personal trainer and it was more or less my first time in a gym using weights. I didn't know what to expect and honestly was intimidated by the whole thing! But, with Nicolette's guidance and vast knowledge, I found myself loving our sessions. They were fun, challenging, and I quickly felt myself getting stronger by the week. She knows the body so well and I loved learning from her, whether it was about alignment or how muscles/body parts spoke to one another. Each session was as much a physical experience as it was educational. Beyond Nicolette being an incredible trainer, she's also a wonderful, charming, and intelligent person. Her dynamic education - from meditation, free movement, postural studies, to her work with Tonal - helps create a well rounded experience. Nicolette is constantly seeking out education, workshops, seminars, to deepen her knowledge of her craft, something I admire about her. She takes her work seriously and you just know you're in good hands. There really isn't anyone like Nicolette! read more

First - apologies to Nicolette for not writing this review sooner! 10 stars. I've been training with Nicolette since February of 2012 and have seen her in many different contexts - 1:1 personal training (for the past 8 years), bootcamps, leading wellness retreats, and as an instructor for Tonal. Nicolette will 100% kick your butt in the gym and help you stay on track to meet your goals. But she also takes the time to understand what is happening with you - she knows fitness and wellness isn't just what happens an hour(ish) a day in the gym, it's how your body is moving and what muscles are over and under-working, how you're eating, and what's stressing you out. She has given me the tools to improve in all of these areas. Nicolette has a drive for continuous learning and self-improvement that is unique in the training community and she's always able to share her learnings with her clients to drive better results. It's exciting to talk to her about the latest classes/intensive she attended to understand how our training will change based on what she learned. But most of the time, it's easy to just show up, put in the work, and know I'll get the results I want because her programs are epic. Lastly - she is amazing with understanding the body and helping you strengthen areas you didn't know were weak. If I told her during a movement my knee was hurting, she'd take a moment to question where on my knee, during what part of the movement and work through the source of the pain (hint - it's not the knee it's the surrounding muscles and fascia) and then doing quick releases or activations to get moving again pain free! Ok - over the past 8 years we've achieved a lot: * She encouraged me to run a half-marathon after I'd never even run a mile. I since have run 3 and still enjoy running. * Improved posture with really simple daily exercises * Got back on the volleyball court and worked on sport-specific strengthening * Strengthened muscles to help alleviate my recurring back-pain * She helped me lose weight and strengthen up for my wedding * And generally just kept up a strong fitness habit over many years I can't thank Nicolette enough - it was certainly not overnight, but she's changed my life! read more

In April I started experiencing major foot pain after my bike rides. I didn't think too much about it, but by July the pain went from a 5 to a 50. By then I was walking with a limp and had to stop biking and exercising all together. I saw a doctor recommended by my insurance and his diagnosis was to wear a boot and follow two stretches (outlined in a print out) for plantar fasciitis. In total that appointment lasted less than 15 minutes. A week later I saw Nicolette - we began by doing an assessment over Zoom (which was SO thorough) and explained to me what was really happening in my leg and why. She prescribed me a recovery plan that outlined what I needed to do to feel better. With every movement she prescribed me, she went into precise detail - explaining what was happening in my body and what we need to do to correct it. Within a week I texted her to let her know I was 100% pain free - something I haven't felt in so long. A month later we had our in-person appointment at Diakadi outdoors where we went through different movement patterns that wouldn't not just benefit me now, but also for the rest of my life. I'm FOREVER thankful to have worked with Nicolette. Because of everything I learned from her I now have a deeper understanding of my body and I know what I need to do so I can have a happy, active and pain-free life. She's really dedicated to your progress, SO INCREDIBLY SMART and will put you on the road to recovery IMMEDIATELY and for that I'm forever thankful. So if you've been experiencing pain and want to feel better, work with Nicolette NOW! You have nothing to lose and everything to gain! read more

Nicolette has been my trainer for 6+ years. At first it felt like such a luxury to have a personal trainer, and it is. But I quickly realized that the time I spend with Nicolette is an investment in myself. There are SO many things I have gained from having her in my life. First of all I am so much stronger. She has changed my body composition. When I workout by myself I don't feel intimidated by the weight room or the 'dudes' that are inevitably there. I see how what we do in the gym has benefited all aspects of my life. She never stops learning either; regularly seeking new training and certifications herself. Her workouts are never boring; they are a challenge both physically and mentally. I never dread a workout with her. On top of it all she's easy to talk to, great at explaining any movement and an overall great resource in my life. She is worth the time and money. read more

I am so grateful for my training with Nicolette. She is incredibly knowledgable and my time with her has laid a foundation that I have been able to apply to all of my workouts. Nicolette will bring out the best in you, she isn't going to take excuses and you'll be forever grateful for it. (With her training I could deadlift my weight!) She keeps your goals in mind while she plans your circuits and it shows. I remember after about months, maybe a year of working out with her, I went to her saying I wanted to take a playful approach to our workouts since we had built a strong foundation in my movement. She taught me how to handstand!! It was hard work but it was so much fun. When we started I couldn't even cartwheel, but by the end I could hold my self in a handstand! Nicolette's lessons will carry with you for the rest of your life. I couldn't recommend her more. read more

Nicolette and I have been training for 6 years, both in person and online. She's always bringing me tough and challenging workouts. I love that she gives me homework to do on my own between sessions, and she has adapted her business to online training with the Tonal and my home equipment. Also, she's an expert in muscle adjustments and figuring out the root cause when you're uncomfortable or feel that something isn't quite right. It's valuable to get that type of feedback and support during a workout. Can't recommend her enough. read more

I trained with Nicolette for almost three years after the birth of my daughter. She is truly an exceptional trainer and walks the talk! She is an expert at proper technique and ensures you learn the correct methods and techniques for weight training to avoid injury. She is also so dang inspirational--she takes great care of herself and it rubs off on her clients! Just as I hit peak fitness, I got pregnant again! I will say that my pregnancy was easy because I was feeling great physically and mentally. Thanks, Nicolette! :) read more

This is long over due as I've been training w/ Nicolette for over 2 years now and yet i STILL like to get my a$$kicked by her on the daily. I'm, nor have I ever been, super into "fitness" however she makes me want to be. You could be a beginner or advance and she's going to push you, make you uncomfortable and make you laugh at the same time. You know that saying, "you get what you put in"...well you can't slack off with her, so you're always putting in max, you will always put in a ton of effort..she won't let you off the hook :*) What's so cool is that Nicolette is open to new things, she keeps the workouts & Bootcamps fresh and challenging, even after 2 years I am learning something new about my body & diet. She is both a student and teacher of her profession. Setting goals, managing expectations and coaching along the way are towering strengths of hers and I say that with the most sincerity. So don't wait, go and get you're sweat on! read more

Nicolette is a phenomenal personal trainer. I've been working with her for about a year. In that time, she's helped me develop a balanced and positive relationship to fitness and my body - an impressive feat if you ask me. She is also extremely knowledgeable, helping me correct some muscle imbalances and to find my limits in the face of an inflammatory disorder and old sports injuries. I have chronic pain, with good days and bad, so some days I come into training entirely unmotivated and in a really negative head space. Nicolette -with her saintly patience - knows how to motivate me out of those ruts by identifying my perceived limits and then helping me push them safely. If I'm having a rough day, she is never short on amazing pep talks. Oh yeah, she's also super fun to work out with. She makes sure we have a good time, even when she's kicking my butt. read more

Getting my a$$ kicked never felt so good! I work out with Nicolette a few times a week, both in personal training sessions and boot camps, each with their own unique motivating factors. Nicolette makes sure you're pushing yourself enough to see results in a healthy way. In addition to fitness, she knows her stuff when it comes to nutrition and will offer the best advice on what works for you, whatever your goal may be. Nicolette checks on me throughout the week to ensure I'm being a good boy regarding my own workouts and meal plan, or else I'll regret it in my next session :) I highly recommend Nicolette if you're looking to feel and look your best! read more

I've been training with Nicolette for 8 months. Although I had been a morning workout person for years, I didn't feel like I was getting stronger. Most importantly, however, I had a New Year's Resolution to improve my posture and knew that I couldn't wait any more to address it. Nicolette is so knowledgable about postural health. She is thoughtful and measured in her approach, always sure to communicate progress and provide encouragement along the way. The changes in my posture seemed almost immediate. Not only did she create an awareness in me in how I carry my body, but we methodically addressed the different components of postural health (from my back to my hips and neck). Beyond drastically improving my posture, I'm stronger than I've ever been. Nicolette is amazing at inspiring determination and driving accountability--both in and outside our training sessions. From making sure I'm balanced in my other workouts to keeping my body energized with my diet. If you need someone to push you further, keep you motivated and laugh while doing it--Nicolette is your girl. read more

Nicolette has been my trainer since sept 2012. She has helped me completely turn my life around, after I gained a lot of weight in a short period of time. She gave me the tools and knowledge necessary to live a healthy, balanced life. I now feel comfortable in the gym, can create my own workouts, and know how to eat well to see results; and I never feel deprived. I have lost 40lbs, 14% body fat and am the strongest I have ever been. If you are ready to put in the work, Nicolette is your girl! read more

My time with Coach Nicolette has been transformational. I'm a two-time Paralympic gold medalist and have spent time with many strength coaches over the years including being immersed into a full time staff for a period of four years. I have never seen such consistent gains since working with Coach Nicolette. I have a lot of knowledge built up from my athletic career and really felt that if I just got advice from others here and there, I could design my own program. I thought I knew how to vary things up enough to stay engaged in the process and shock my body into adaptation. I didn't know what I was missing. When I heard Coach Nicolette talk about how she builds strength programs, I knew I needed to talk to her. After our initial conversation, I was ready to commit and started seeing immediate improvement in the first block she built. She tailored my strength training program to my objectives specific to my sport of handcycling. My cycling coach saw immediate improvement in my numbers and I've seen consistent week over week gains in my strength results. My monthly build is now very dynamic, and the periodization seems to be exactly what my body needs to keep moving forward. Coach Nicolette is also super responsive and engaged in the process, that just adds to my motivation to push harder. read more

I trained with Nicolette for a couple of months at Diakadi gym before moving away to NYC. She is an amazing trainer. We started off slow, which I learned to appreciate as my training went on. She measure's everything, studies your posture and really aims to make a workout plan for you body and its strengths and weaknesses . I grew so much stronger because of her and I miss her and her workouts so much! Highly highly recommend her personal training!! read more

I started training with Nicolette out of frustration--I had tried and abandoned a bunch of different things to shake up my fitness routine, with no results, so invested in three months of personal training to bust through the plateau. Over the course of those months, what started as a temporary extravagance quickly became a part of my life that felt non-negotiable. Nicolette totally reshaped the way I treat my body, and gave me new pride for it. I have always been explicitly unathletic--uncoordinated, inflexible and a general hater of exercise. I worked out reluctantly and half-heartedly. With Nicolette's coaching and programming, though, I started to find satisfaction in challenging myself, knowing that I had done the absolute most I was capable of. Even better is seeing that max increase as I get stronger, enabling me to do things today that I wouldn't have dreamed of a year ago. Nicolette is brilliant at knowing just how far to push me--she consistently gets me to do more than I thought I could (and isn't amused by excuses) but never asks for anything impossible, and is always gentle and encouraging when I fall short. Most surprising to me is the way training with Nicolette has had an impact so far beyond our sessions: with the calendars she gives me, I know exactly what I need to do each day so am driven and purposeful even in my solo workouts; with her nutritional coaching and accountability, I know how to fuel my body and am eating cleaner; and with a renewed respect for what I'm capable of, I am pushing myself outside the gym. I never imagined that I would pay someone to make me pry myself out of bed at at a dark, ungodly hour in order to push my body to exhaustion for 60 sweaty minutes--and am still shocked to realize that I actually look forward to it. I am so grateful to Nicolette for her coaching and friendship, and for the changes she has empowered me to make. read more

I started working out with Nicolette after tearing my hamstring playing soccer. I didn't want to look buff or anything like that - just wanted to be able do the stuff I love to do as I get older (soccer, mountain biking, kitesurfing, snowboarding, surfing). After a year working out with Nicolette my body hasn't felt this good since I was 30 (I'm 41 now). I'm back to playing soccer and all of my previous back pain is gone. She's awesome!! read more
