Working with John has been transformational. Before John I was out of shape, hated going to the gym, and was 200lb. Over for the past 6 months I lost 40lbs and went from 26% body fat to 12%. John is a great guy to work with. He's extremely friendly and knowledgeable and will build a plan for you to do your best. John helped me achieved the results that I wanted (and beyond). I know he will be able to do the same with you read more

The fact that he apologized made me change my review again. His behavior was very aggressive but he might be a good trainer. I wish him good luck. read more

I had the pleasure of working with coach John and his team for 4 months and it was a great experience. I wanted to tone up and get to a workout routine to develop muscle, and that´s what John and his team set me up to do. The punctuality and the attention to detail are what impressed me the most in addition to the knowledge and the dedication of John and his team. Thank you, John and Fast Pace PT for helping me feel better about myself!! read more

I have been working with John since 2016. I am still with him today, as he pushes me beyond my limit at each workout session, and cares about my ultimate fitness goal. Not to mention, John is very approachable, and professional. Also, has a profound knowledge of nutrition and fitness; how these two factors go hand in hand. If you are seeking to change your body to become healthier, stronger and/or leaner, I would highly recommend John as your trainer. read more

Such an amazing experience just chatting with the owner. I was met with nothing but kindness and understanding of what my expectations are. I recommend this company over most I've interacted with the last few months. This one stands out for their customer service as well as genuine first impressions. Thank you John for your time and belief in my journey. read more

Worth it! John and team provide stunning service. In the last two months I have lost 20lbs and feel the difference. He had helped me with portion control and gave me a better understanding of how my body process food, as his nutrition plan is on point. I will say though he makes you work for it and it's worth it. I am even more shocked at how well organized and communicative he and the team are even in these crazy covid times. Not only do I recommend him, I swear by him. Good guy and really caring. read more

Not sure if he's a good trainer or not, he definitely works out - but the business model is pretty sketchy. After an initial sales pitch call, I was told I had to speak with the owner John Ferraro in order to proceed. In order to schedule that call I had to give my credit card number and put down a $1 deposit. Apparently that's because if I fail to make the call they can charge $100 and be compensated for their time. When I said I wasn't comfortable giving my card info before agreeing to service, John told me I obviously wasn't committed to my health or getting in shape. He was rude and kind of aggressive - if that's your jam by all means go for it but as far as I'm concerned it was sketchy af. read more

I used this program for a couple of months. John was fantastic, always super helpful not only regarding working out & exercise but also with my over all well being. John had great tips I still use today when it comes to mental health. He was definitely a life coach, I would highly recommend to anyone trying to get in great shape. read more

John is the best! I stopped training with him when I moved to another state. I've had other trainers after I moved and none of them compare to John and the results I got working with him. I love the fact that he really listens and will switch up the exercises if you absolutely hate it. Miss training with you John. read more

John is very professional and has extensive knowledge in fitness and nutrition. He helped me reach my goals and I always felt energized and refreshed after a training session with John. read more

If I wasn't restrained by the Yelp rating system, I would give John Ferraro an even higher rating than 5 stars. Within five minutes of our introduction, It felt as if I was speaking with an old buddy from high school. Relationship building is an important aspect of connecting with a personal trainer, but additionally, John proceeded to demonstrate his comprehensive knowledge of diet and fitness over the course of our conversation. Unlike some trainers who've been lean since birth, John lost approximately 80 lbs as he transitioned from his high school football weight to his current peak condition which gives him a unique perspective and empathy that many trainers can't provide their clients. In summary, I hired and worked with John, and I can personally attest to the accuracy of the numerous 5 star reviews John has earned. read more

John is awesome! He's very patient and supportive. He's helped me through back issues and I'm still seeing results. It's been a long road for me but I'm getting there with John's help. It's a lifestyle change and that's what I've been needing. Great trainer and person. I can't wait to update with photos once I get there. read more

John did a great intake upfront to understand my goals and my style and then connect me with the right trainer in his network, Nate. I've worked with Nate for the last year, and he's awesome! He helped me get in shape for my wedding, with awesome results. Most importantly, Nate listened to me and what I wanted to achieve and tailored the sessions accordingly, he was flexible about scheduling, and he is just a fun person to hang out with while training. I was happy that we were able to train outdoors, in the park, which I preferred during COVID. Nate has introduced me to a huge variety of exercises, using TRX, bands, body weights, bars, and dumb bells, which kept things interesting. For someone who hates doing weights on my own, I even shocked myself by sticking with it with Nate and enjoying our sessions, and I'm thrilled with the results - I feel stronger, more toned, and more confident. read more

I always recommend John And his trainers for my friends who have real fitness goals. I've used his services twice: once to get back in shape for a summer vacation that I had taken unflattering photos the year before and once in the weeks leading up to my trek in the Himalayas. The results speak for themselves. read more

John and teams are pros. They helped me set and hit my fitness goals. I went from feeling chubby and out of shape (hadn't really worked out in 10 years) to looking like Tyler Durden in Fight Club. They're the best and bring the best out of you. 5/5 would hire again. read more

John is great, so is the rest of the team that I have trained with. He's so friendly and personable, but also pushes you further than you thought you can go but he knows you can. I love Fast Pace Personal Training! John and Jaime have been phenomenal - even when I don't feel like doing what I'm supposed to be doing. I dropped seven (7) pounds my first week! What?? Exactly! And with Kristin being my nutritional guide and Brandon my sounding board - I have an entire team on my side. Somehow, the workouts with John and Jaime seem to fly by. I'm in Week 2, and I'm looking forward to next Tuesday's weigh-in. Un-HEARD of!! Thank you, Fast Pace!! read more

I tried Fast Pace based on a recommendation and I'm very glad I did. Workouts were detailed yet easy to learn. The personal trainer listened to my needs and went at a pace that was fast yet not pushing me beyond my capabilities. Fast Pace cares and I felt for the price the quality of training was really high! Thanks Fast Pace I'll use them more and if you're looking to get fit in the bay area I highly recommend! read more

It's hard to quantify just how good John is at what he does. I've been working with him for about a year and the results speak for themselves (my girlfriend keeps asking me to thank John!). John is a great motivator and a great person. He is truly wonderful to work with and I look forward to my weekly session with him, he makes me sweat and makes me laugh. He's really just the best. read more

John is the best trainer I've ever worked with, and I've worked with probably a dozen or so. First and foremost, he knows his craft, and knows it well. I've seen him work with other clients and what jumped out at me most was how different he was with each of them. This indicated to me that he takes the time to create solutions based on who you are and where you want to go. In addition to his technical abilities, he has phenomenal interpersonal skills which I found quite rewarding. His emotional intelligence allows him to work with you regardless of your mood, because he is constantly adjusting his approach to you to make your workout be a rewarding one. Are you having a bad day? I can promise John will have you sweating, smiling, laughing (his is quite hilarious), and leaving your workout in a good mood... read more

In June of 2021, I decided that it was time to get healthy. I looked around online and stumbled upon John and Fast Pace. I was a fitness novice. I never went to the gym, never worked out, and didn't know how any of the equipment in the gym worked. I was even nervous about getting on the treadmill. None of that mattered to John. He was ready to get me healthier and treated me with the utmost respect as a client. One of the things that worried me was that this was not in-person personal training. How would I learn workouts without having John or someone there to do it with me every step of the way? John convinced me that having a trainer physically present is 1) not necessary and 2) potentially counterproductive, as one never feels compelled to learn on their own and figure out a sustainable path forward when the coach is always in the room. From our initial Zoom consultation where John got to know me and my areas of greatest need to our regular conversations about workouts and nutrition, John was exactly what I needed in a trainer. John is dedicated to his clients, cares deeply about their success, and understands that the path to good health requires attention both to diet/nutrition and fitness. And he's an expert in all of this. If you're willing to put in the work, I strongly recommend giving John and Fast Pace a try. And, as your fitness goals change, they're flexible enough to keep up, both in terms of the plans they offer and the attention they give. 7 months into my time with John, I have lost almost 40 pounds and feel better than I've ever felt. It's not magic. It's been hard work but it's been so rewarding to see the progress we've made. I can't recommend John and Fast Pace more! read more

My sister and I were referred to John to help us get in shape for her wedding. We are both pretty active and have dabbled with personal training in the past, but my experience with John is by far the best yet! John outlines a personalized meal plan along with workouts targeted specifically for your goals. John helped us not only understand our macro split but also when we should be eating what, which was huge!! The app workouts will push you hard and are so handy with descriptions and videos for reference. John not only clearly knows what he's doing and the science behind it, but he also was so incredibly friendly, checked in frequently and was always available via text/phone to answer questions. John was a pleasure to work with and I got amazing results! I would hands down work with John again and refer him to anyone looking to get serious about their fitness journey. read more

John is a great trainer, I try to see him about every other week at least. He keeps you motivated through his workouts and motivated between workouts. He is invested not only in your physical wellness but you mental wellness as well. He is an awesome trainer and anything I write here couldn't possibly describe how great he is. John is not only THE BEST trainer I have ever had, but he is overall an exceptional human being. He is sweet, encouraging, hardworking, proactive, enthusiastic and challenging. He pushes me pass my comfort zone (in the best way possible) to achieve my goals. He is THE REAL DEAL. I have been working with him for years now and couldn't imagine working with anyone else. John personally accesses your fitness level, and creates a workout and diet plan tailored to your individual desires. Not only are the workouts great, he even sends me text messages with complete detailed workouts for my days I am at the gym alone. He goes the extra mile to ensure I'm on my program and holds me accountable. The only reason I would not recommend him is that it may make it harder for me to get my desired time slots :) Thank you John for everything! read more
