6 months have passed and you know what that means....Dental check up time! I know, I know, I sound obsessed like Steve Martin in Little Shop of Horrors, but it's a great feeling actually having a dentist that makes you feel as comfortable as possible. The family friendly and welcoming environment that the ladies at Dr. Nikki's have developed is top notch. From the updated magazines in the kid friendly waiting area, to the cutting edge technology they use to keep track of patient records and X-rays, it's about as pleasant of an experience as you could ever hope for at the dentist. I spent 30 years of my life neglecting my dental health due to nightmares stemming back from my youth, but since I've started going here, those nightmares are a thing of the past, and I look forward to that 6 month post card showing up in my mailbox. I went to Dr. Kott for a number of years. Early on, I asked her about jaw tension that I was experiencing. On several visits after that she continued to grind down my crown, until I developed TMJ disease. When I first noticed that the molars on the right side of my mouth weren't meeting, she told me that I was imagining things. At a later appt. she suggested a mouth guard that she charged me $300 for, which, if I had researched, I would've known that they were worthless. Finally she referred me for TMJ treatment and a year and $11,000 later her damage was corrected. More recently, I came in with my husband who was having some major health issues. She told me that she was going to recommend a surgeon (?) and then sent me emails of recommendations from other patients for doctors, implying that, either I didn't care about my husband, or that I was too stupid to care for him.' read more

I went to Dr. Kott's clinic because of the high reviews. She overheard me at front desk that a crown from an old root canal fell off. Right away she took me in despite not having an appointment yet as prolonging the issue will end up losing my tooth. She is gentle, caring, puts me at ease, professional like her high ratings indicate. She herself cleaned my teeth thoroughly as in squeaky clean. She is so detailed she found a medical issue with my tongue that she took care off right away. I cannot recommend her highly enough. You will do yourself a huge favor by going to her. I showed up for my scheduled dentist appointment to be told that they made a mistake on scheduling and if I could come back on another day. I understand these things happen by mistake but very unprofessional as my appointment was clearly written on their mailed form they send to each new patient and on their hard files (which I saw). Hope this does not happen to anyone else as this is a huge inconvenience when you base your whole work schedule around an appointment time slot. read more

Our family of 5 all see Dr Kott and have since the kids were quite young. I can't say I love going to the dentist, but if I've got to go, I'm glad I can go there. Everyone in the office is kind, patient, and professional. Their hours are convenient, and they always seem to be running on schedule. Our experience there always feels personal; we never are made to feel like we are part of an assembly line. After an unpleasant experience with our previous dentist, we tried a different larger dental practice that was recommended by several friends, but that place left us all pretty cold. So we picked Dr. Kott's name randomly off our insurance list. I can't believe how lucky we were to find her! She is a gem, and we all love her receptionist as well. Highly recommend!! read more

The dental hygenist Lisa is very nice and very gentle and thorough when she was taking x-rays and cleaning my teeth. Dr. Kott was kind, has a wonderful "chair-side" manner, she listened to me and explained what care I needed in a way I could understand. I never felt like she wanted to perform unnecessary work. I have neglected my teeth recently but she didn't make me feel bad about myself. I would Absolutely recommend her to friends and family. The only drawback is it is difficult to get an appointment before or after work and weekend appointments are booked indefinitely. Probably because she is worth it. read more

I've had bad experiences in the past with dentists so I was a little hesitant to come in. After talking to the receptionist, Pam, and her walking me through everything, I felt so comfortable coming in for my appointment. Greatest dentist's office EVER!!!! Found her entirely by accident because she is located very near my home and she takes our dental insurance. This office is so laid back, they don't put on airs like a lot of dental offices do, but everything she does is state of the art. Dr. Kott and her staff are all incredibly nice -- and it's genuine kindness, nothing at this place is "faked"!!!! You feel at home from the very first appointment. I actually enjoy going there!!!! Who enjoys going to a dentist's office???? The atmosphere reminds me of what your dentist would be like in a very small town, where the dentist knows everyone in town (and vice-versa) so that dentist has a more personal interest in your well-being than a McDentist's office which so many are today. Plus her dental work is honest, reasonably priced, and done very well -- There have been no problems with any of the fillings she has done for me, my two daughters, my husband, and my mom. This is a great place to go if you're looking for top quality dental work and some great personalities that make you feel at home. I cannot possibly recommend them enough!!!
