No food. Owner was polite on the phone, but sadly another victim of the "early to bed crowd." Nick was really nice though.

It has a lot more room than expected with enough space for live music. As for the drinks and food they're good stuff also. The prices can be high but it's not crazy for the atmosphere and quality. Basically this is one of the first places one encounters when entering town from the east. It's located in the Irish Cottage Inn & Suites. The hotel itself is very nice and has lots of amenities of its own if wanting to stay there. As for the restaurant itself it's one of the highlights. It's about $8 for an Irish coffee, which is a classic in the morning, evening, or whenever. Amazingly they have non dairy options including Bailey's Dairy Free Toffee Cream. It's about $18 or more for an entree which is a lot. We were able to find a few plant based options. I got the Roasted Squash Bowl. This has broccolini, farro, heirloom tomato relish, pickled red cabbage, and white beech mushrooms. An earthy flavor. She had the Vegan Shepherd's Pie. An alternative made with faux beef and mushroom gravy There's also plenty of meaty options like beef medallions. For sure it's one of the nicer restaurants around here. It's closed Mondays. They amazingly have a few things for vegans and vegetarians.

This is one of my favorite rock n roll clubs/bars in Iowa! Located right off the Mississippi where…read morethe boats are docked to shore, this is a great place to cast your anchor and hang out for a night and watch some music! When entering the bar you might think you are in a different land, and in a different time! It feels kinda like an Irish pub in a dungeon! But there's a pool table so you know your safe! There are two long bars one on the side room where the music is and one in the main room! I have been here numerous times of the past 10 years and the bar tenders always seem to be the same. And they are great! Prices are great too, you can get your fancy whisky or craft brews, but they also carry cans of PBR, and Old Mil for us on a budget! The music room is great, it has great sound, and Aaron H. who has booked here for years brings in great stuff, a totally curated room of music! The locals just come here cause there is live music and they usually leave satisfied in their choice cause Aaron has great taste! I have been lucky enough to play here a few times and every time I have had a great time! They have a great back patio as well, but like I said they are right off the Mississippi so it might get kinda buggy sometimes! This is a total gem if you find yourself in Dubuque!

When I tell you that we ate some of the best food we've ever eaten, I mean, we ate some of THE BEST FOOD WE'VE EVER EATEN! We have been back 4 times since we first went and the food has been delicious af every time! We have tried the pretzel appetizer, which we love, the fish and chips, the Dick Titus commercial dish, each kids meal item on the menu, the avocado chicken bacon ranch sandwich (my favorite) and the avocado and chicken salad. The staff always greet you when you enter and are friendly and accommodating every time we've been. Everyone should try this place!! It's our new favorite restaurant! There's something for EVERYONE! Also, the decor of the restaurant is just perfect. I've been to restaurants that are trying to be something they're not, to be kitchy, to be a farce on someone's culture but this restaurant is darling. I feel like it is as if a person listened to their grandma or grandpa's stories from the old country and designed the restaurant and decor from their stories and memories. It is beautiful and the food is beautiful and delicious and it's just an awesome place.

I Yelped bourbon bars, and found Erin's Snug just down the street from our hotel. I had hoped to have corned beef and cabbage, but was told they were out. Ugh. So I settled for a Reuben. (I looked at him quizzically when he told me they could still make this, but he said the corned beef was prepared a different way. It was kind of shredded.) This wasn't optimal for my low-carb diet, but I pulled off most of the bread and went with it. It was okay, but not great. Kind of disappointing. My Maker's Mark Manhattan, on the other hand, was quite tasty. My husband had the stew, and said it was very good. It came with a large piece of bread on top, maybe soda bread, and was served in a large bowl, Other than the bartender making a joke about how they wouldn't put the Bears game on because this was Packers country (as it turns out, he's from Buffalo), and being oddly out of corned beef and cabbage, the evening was nice.
