I have gone to Nicks garage twice for a smog. The first time I was with my boyfriend the last time I was by myself. They did a great job on my first smog so I went back and they did a great job smogging my other vehicle this time I went. However while waiting for them to do my smog I was approached by one of their workers wearing a Nicks garage t shirt, a short older heavier weight Hispanic man, approached me and asked me if I wanted to go smoke marijuana with him. I politely said no thank you, he then proceeded to say "come on come smoke with me" I said again no in a sharper tone. He then left and came back and approached me again persistently telling me "come on come smoke with me you only have to do a little bit" and I said no again and tried my best to ignore him and not make eye contact. Thankfully my smog was done and I was able to leave. The crew doing the smog does a good job and are very nice, however that one worker made me very uncomfortable. I would not recommend if you are a smaller younger women to go here by yourself. Who knows what could have been in whatever he was trying to get me to smoke with him or what would've happened to me after. You can never be too careful in the world we live in today. read more

I was stranded on the 101 between Greenfield and King City. My insurance listed Nick's Garage. My car arrived at Nick's at 2:30 pm in the afternoon and the staff were test driving my car by 3:15 pm. Luckily my repair was fairly minor. I was traveling for work and the closest place I could rent a car was Salinas and time was of the essence. The owner thought they should have the car ready the same day. I really appreciate them doing everything humanly possible to get it up and running. The pricing for the service was more than reasonable. Nothing is more vulnerable than needing your car serviced while away from home. Nick's Garage made me feel at home and took excellent care of me. read more

Nick and the Mechanics did it again! These guys worked their magic to keep my POS running right. I recently had a flat tire that I had to change. The thing was that three lug nuts were so rusted on the hub they sheared off due to my massive strength and I knew I had to get the tire changed. Anyway, I called nick told him what happened and he said "Bring it in." When I got there I thought I was going to have to change out the whole front right hub. Nick told me go grab a coffee and breakfast burrito across the street. I was called back after 2 hours for my car. Nick told me they punched out the sheared lug bolts and replaced with new ones instead of changing the whole front hub. This saved me a lot of money. Don't go to Nicks Garage. They are a bunch of thief's. They will take ur money and not fix ur car. I took my car there and they charged me almost 1000 dls. Instead of fixing it they made it worst. My car only had the check engine light but ran smoothly, now it has the same light back on and it vibrates a lot. If I could I would give it a cero star rating. read more

I am so happy a friend referred me to Nick's garage! It was worth the drive from Campbell, CA to get my car fixed. The lead mechanic was knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. I was able to get a new radiator, condenser fan, air mixer motor, and condenser replacement/repair completed the same day I dropped off the car. I will definitely be seeing them again if I need any other repairs. Background: I have a 2006 Acura MDX. I took it to the dealer to fix the air conditioning they had supposedly fixed 6 months earlier. The repair was still under warranty. Of course, they found something else wrong with the air conditioning not related to the previous repair. The price the quoted me for the new repair was ludicrous. After my ordeal with the dealer, a friend referred me to Nick's Garage. So, I took it to them to get the needed repairs done for an extremely reasonable price. I can't thank them enough. Note: The garage does not have a waiting area. However, there is a nice library across the street with free wifi and desktop computers available for public use. Also, if you want to get something to eat while you wait, there is an ultra modern McDonald's and incredible Mexican food at La Plaza. Both are a short walk from the garage. read more

The first time I dealt with Nick I didn't have the money to pay for my car. I was hoping it's repair would take two days longer then it did. Nick said pay me when you can. I've been to Nick's several times, and my daughter Kristen. He and his crew, his son Ernesto works there too, and friendly and very knowledgeable. He'll bend over backwards for you. Always in a good mood. Likes to joke around. If he was a doctor, I'd say he has a good bed side manner. I've never had a problem. My most recent "visit" was my daughter Bernadette wrecked her car. I bought a 2001 Honda Civic on the cheap. I knew it needed work, I told him make it safe and dependable for her. Came back a week later, and Viola, all belts, hoses, fluids,filters, etc...The car should go another 200,000 miles before it needs another major repair. I was expecting it to cost more. read more
