I stopped in for the first time today and it certainly won't be my last visit! You can tell that this is a family-owned local staple. No bells and whistles, just a relatively short menu with some great options and the normal deli staples. The prices are fair for the amount and quality of food you get. I was pleasantly surprised to see they have a pickle barrel (something I remember from the deli of my childhood) and the guys behind the counter were happy to give me a taste of the pasta salad that I was on the fence about ordering. I ordered a roast beef sandwich for today ($5.50) and a $4.99 daily special (Tuesday's is an American Hoagie) for tomorrow. Add a GIANT dill pickle for $1.50 and I was able to grab lunch for two days (or more--these sandwiches are big!) for just over $12, which is a steal. Every customer was greeted by name, so it's clear that this store not only has its regulars, but they've been coming here forever. The gentlemen behind the counter, Paul and another man (whose name I am I'm embarrassed to say I have forgotten) were absolute pleasures--funny, quick with a smile, a greeting, and a great recommendation. Today I walked in and ordered a couple of sandwiches and a chili. The two guys behind the counter were extremely nice and had great attitudes considering the place was packed and they were short staffed. The food was beyond delicious. I had the turkey special and it was amazing! I would highly recommend Nick's Deli! These guys are hard workers and really care about their customers! They even knew most of the customers by name. After a couple of years returned to Nick's Deli and saw major improvement. Went towards the end of they're day on Saturday and ordered a Roast Beef Hoagie with oil and vinegar. Nice sized Liscio roll with plenty of Dietz and Watson meats. It was very good but lacked salt and any sprinkled seasonings. They were out of potato salad so the Mac salad had to do and it was good and tasted as it was made on the premises. On Saturday they have Dietz and Watson meats for cheeses for $4.99 a pound. Also picked up a pre packed back of the small Liscio rolls for $3.00. All in all it was all good even with the absence of seasonings on the hoagie. read more

These people are the happiest and most pleasant. They over exceed any customer service expectations. They bend over backwards to accommodate their customers. Even if they didn't have the lunch meat sales on Friday and Saturday, I would still come. I just wish they were open longer hours. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! read more

Nick's deli is pretty decent. We don't go too often, only when we need a quick trip for lunch meat. (beats standing in line at Shop Rite) The guys are ALWAYS nice, always smiling. We haven't tried their sandwiches though, so I can't comment on that. Fridays & Saturdays they have discounted meats & cheeses which is cool. ($5 to $6/lb) read more

I have been a regular at Nick's Deli for several years now. Up until recently, I've had no complaints. The service has been good and the gentleman at the counter was always kind and professional. This week I had a very different experience. A man I don't recall seeing before came out and harassed me after I inquired about the weekend specials. Unprovoked, he began venting about politics in an extremely rude manner. To avoid conflict, I quietly mentioned that my political affiliation was different from his. Rather than backing off, the man began harassing me about my political affiliation. The other gentleman seemed to be trying to deflect by focusing on the deli meat, but he did not ask him to stop. When the man was done yelling at me, he turned to the other gentleman and said, "I don't want to wait on her, she's crazy. You ring her up". To be clear, I am a sharp 70 year old woman and was not trying to engage in political debate at my local deli. I barely said anything because I was so taken aback by the entire encounter. I also can't help but wonder if t he encounter would have been different if I was a vibrant gen X male instead of a senior female. Since this kind of harassment is inappropriate, unacceptable and downright harmful, I will not be patronizing this business anymore. I would advise anyone who does not want to be berated for their political views to avoid this place. It's a shame to say this, since this is a time when we should be supporting local businesses, but I cannot risk being harassed again and I wouldn't want anyone else to have to endure this unpleasant experience either. read more

Not much you can say about a little place like this. They got five stars cause they do what they are supposed to do excellently. They are a deli and they cut meat. I have passed by this place hundreds of times and decided it was time to expand my horizons and give them a try. I have started using this place for my weekly lunch meats, for the past two weeks at least. They have some decent specials and their meats are fresh and hold up well. They actually listen when you ask for your meats and cheeses to be cut to a specific thickness, which can be an issue at some places. The only negative is that you have to write your own purchase/expiration dates on the bag since they don't have a tag printing machine for their lunch meats but for the lower prices that's a small concession. The rolls are extremely fresh as well. This place may not look fancy but the quality is there and that's what matters. Give them a try, they'll save you at least $5-$10 off your weekly lunch meats. read more
