Nicks is great for a quick bite that's pretty good quality! I will say the menu is quite extensive so pretty much anyone could find something they'd like here. We had the chicken and rib dinner, a few burgers, and the chicken kebab plate. The chicken tasted very fresh and came with a good amount of veggies and fries for the price. We thought the chicken overall was a lot better than the ribs, which we have nothing to complain about but just wasn't anything super phenomenal. Went there yesterday on a snowy and cold afternoon. Ordered a quart of chicken, rice soup and a quart of chili. $23. I got two bowl of soup and the chili is disgusting has no beans. It's the chili spread you put on a hotdog they need to elaborate inherit Real chili, not this crap you spread on a hotdog. So then of course, later I had to go outside to the store and buy some hotdogs and buns and cheese spread so I could have chili cheese dogs. Not to mention I've been to the bathroom around seven times since yesterday. Got awful. We order from Nick BBQ often. The last 3 orders have been messed up. 2 orders ago we were missing 2 items. Then through the drive thru they gave us someone elses's order. Then on Fathers day, we got 1/2 of what we ordered. So that was 3X that we had to go back. What is going on? They used to be good and the orders were right and on time? Very disappointed. read more

The Nick's Barbecue in Alsip has moved from 127th & Harlem in Palos Heights. Since the Covid 19 we started to order about once a month as a small treat from the daily routine of meal planning, cooking and cleanup, it was something to look forward to.,.. This has changed due to the mismanagement of "Nicks" and the attitude that is unsuitable for any person in the resturant business today! We have called and noted that the deep fried chicken and waffle fries were burnt and could not have been consumed but the management could not get the concept that His responsibility was to make sure that the cook staff are trained and understand how to prepare these meals... We will not patronize any "Nicks Barbecue" and highly recommend that everyone forgets yo go or order from this establishment. read more

The online ordering was easy and convenient, the young woman working the drive-through was abrupt and let's say, less than polite. We ordered the Reuben and a double cheeseburger. Was happy with the Reuben, but the cheeseburger; not so much. The burger was just okay and certainly not worth the price. Today was our first visit, made upon the recommendation of friends. This is a casual neighborhood barbecue place...no white tablecloths here. You order at the counter, and shortly thereafter, your food is brought to your table. A half-slab of barbecued pork ribs was as expected, due to our friends' recommendation. This was served with potato salad and garlic bread, both very good, and coleslaw which was marginal, all chosen from an extensive list of side dishes. The meat was served with a delicious barbecue sauce, reputed to be Grandma's recipe. The brisket dinner came with garlic bread, baked potato and barbecued beans, all very good. Serving sizes are quite adequate...we both took home leftovers. The menu is extensive, with not only barbecue, but burgers, sandwiches and even some Mexican selections. Prices are moderate and represent a good value. Michael, who was in charge, was welcoming and the staff was friendly. We will definitely return. read more
