    114 Salad

Saturday night meal! Brisket Tacos slow roasted brisket, lettuce, mango and avocado salsa and a 114 Salad the House Salad with craisins, candied walnuts, feta cheese, bacon & jumbo shrimp. The salad was huge of course everything you'd want in a dinner salad! The tacos were delicious tge brisket was melt in your mouth! The Mango avacado salsa truly paired well! Our server Riley was very pleasant and attentive to our wants/needs!

Food- I would recommend the wings, they are GREAT!!! If you went there and was satisfied with their food, then why not go back? Try their wings! Service- The service is VERY quick; most of the times it is only 15 minutes (approximately). The servers are very nice and interact great with you. Ambiance- A bar that is always packed with people. Tables are almost always packed. I would get a reservation just-in-case if you're planning to go there. My favorite part about Nick's are their wings! I am sure you will like them, too, just give them a try! (: :) The only reason why I gave Nick's 4 Stars is because there aren't a lot of items on the menu that I like. STILL, NICK'S IS SOOOOOO GOOD!!!

After living in New Cumberland for over 20 years, we finally made our first visit to Nick's--and we were blown away. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and impeccably clean. The service, though a bit slow due to the busy evening, was friendly and attentive. We started with the large portabella mushroom stuffed with crab--phenomenal. That's a must-order again. But the real surprise of the night? The lobster roll. As someone who's traveled extensively through New England, I was hesitant... but I took the chance, and I'm so glad I did. It was, without exaggeration, one of the best lobster rolls I've ever had. (Yes, photo evidence attached.) Needless to say, my wife and I will absolutely be adding Nick's to our regular rotation. A true hometown gem we wish we had discovered sooner.

My first time at Nick's was the week of Thanksgiving, and the place was packed. It really has the feel of a hometown, locals get together, and hangout kind of place. It was super casual but trendy sort of dining room with a lot of space. The menu has a lot of really good choices and we all had a difficult time deciding. I really enjoyed my French onion soup. The broth was really rich tasting. The open beef sandwich and fries was good but not outstanding.

Nick's is a great restaurant/bar near the bridge in New Cumberland. On the evening we visited, Nick's was bustling and had plenty of obviously well-trained and attentive staff. We sat at the bar for drinks and service was quick and friendly. My draft beer glass was very chilled and the beer itself (Yuengling draft) was also cold and refreshing. The restaurant has lots of TVs with many different sports selections. Volume was appropriate and not overpowering. Four stars only because we didn't try the food--but the restaurant was well-occupied so I think that says something. I look forward to dining at Nick's on a future visit.

Go-to spot. Always open. Tons of tables, tons of servers, consistently excellent food. You can wait for hours at the chain restaurants ... or you can just come to Nick's. Wings, crab cakes (served like 7 ways), salads, comfort foods ... cocktails galore. Are you still looking ... just go already.

Prime Rib sandwich as lunch special was served quickly and delicious. Service was friendly and informative. Give them a try!

When the waitress finally arrived, she mentioned she was the only one working and implied that the slow service would continue throughout the evening. Thankfully, my husband quickly looked up another local spot, and that's when we found Captain Krab Cajun Seafood & Boil--what a blessing! Not only did we enjoy incredible food and exceptional service, but both the server and the owner went above and beyond to make our daughter's birthday truly special. We were treated to fresh, delicious seafood, a sparkler candle dessert, a plush gift for the birthday girl, and even a light-up birthday sign! We felt like part of their family. We ordered oysters, clam chowder, boiled eggs, baby clams, and snow crab legs--everything was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. You can even customize your meal by choosing from four different seasonings and five levels of spiciness, which makes it ideal for families or groups with mixed tastes. One of the most fun parts? You can write on the walls, tables, and even the ceiling! They also have a claw machine for the kids (and kids at heart). We'll absolutely be back next time we're in town! P.S. It's BYOB!

This place had been on my radar for a while, but when I recently learned that Grappling Crab Shack…read morewas serving Crab Stuffed Deviled Eggs, there was no longer any point in delaying the inevitable. A crabby dinner needed to happen...immediately! I recruited an adventure buddy and we made plans to meet at Grappling Crab Shack's creekside home base on a rainy Saturday evening. We arrived around 5pm, about an hour before closing, and thanks to the rain, we had the place almost entirely to ourselves! If you've never been, Grappling Crab Shack is a local family-owned business specializing in fresh Maryland blue crabs, gourmet crab cakes, seasonal seafood specialties, catering and a food truck that travels throughout the area. It's one of those hidden gems that feels like you've stumbled onto a local secret. Since it was our first visit, we decided to do what any reasonable seafood lovers would do....order basically everything! First up were the Crab Stuffed Deviled Eggs ($18 for six). Holy. Cow! These were TREMENDOUS! The filling was loaded with crab, each egg was topped with a little bit of bacon and they disappeared from the plate embarrassingly fast. If you visit Grappling Crab Shack and don't order these, I genuinely think you're making a mistake! Next came the Cajun Jambalaya ($10) with chicken, smoked sausage, tomatoes, trinity vegetables and Cajun spices. This was excellent. Smoky, flavorful, and carrying just enough heat to let you know it was Cajun without setting your face on fire. My adventure buddy never once reached for hot sauce, which says a lot! Then came the Cheesy Crab Bites ($15). These might actually be my favorite surprise of the evening. Homemade crab cake mix blended with mozzarella, cream cheese and garlic, rolled in panko and Old Bay, fried until golden and served with a house remoulade. I'd choose these over mozzarella sticks every single day of the week! The cheese pulls were absolutely glorious, and the remoulade added the perfect tangy finish. Finally, we tackled the Gourmet Crab Cake ($17). This thing was HUGE! Made with fresh Maryland blue crab, it was beautifully seasoned, perfectly cooked, and held together much better than several crab cakes I've had recently. I'm actually glad we skipped ordering it as a sandwich because the crab cake itself deserved to be the star of the show. Our total came to right around $60, and considering how much food we ordered, plus the leftovers we both brought home, I thought it was money well spent. We grabbed one of the covered tables out back overlooking the yard and listening to the creek rush by. Despite the rain, it was a really relaxing place to enjoy dinner. I can only imagine how nice it is on a sunny summer evening. The staff couldn't have been kinder, bringing everything out to us with smiles and making us feel right at home. This place is an absolute hidden gem and one of my favorite seafood spots to have checked out in the last few months! I'll definitely be back, preferably on a dry evening when I can fully enjoy the creekside setting. If you love crab, seafood, or just supporting awesome local businesses, don't sleep on Grappling Crab Shack. And whatever you do...order the deviled eggs!

The day before, I stopped at the same place to get some delicious fish, but that night I wasn't able to "swim with the fishes," so I came back the second day--and that was the best "swimming in the ocean" I ever did. I indulged in some delicious, cheesy, savory grits along with some delicious shrimp, fried to perfection with a golden, crispy brown outer layer drizzled with seasoning (but not too much). I also had some delicious flounder; now, this fish wasn't any less than the shrimp. The fish was one of the best pieces of fish I've ever had. I know a lot of fish--all the fish in the sea know me, and I know the fish. I must say the establishment is pretty inviting; however, myself being a cleaner, I know that it can definitely use a good cleaning. I did use the bathroom, and well, that was before I had my food and not after, which means it's good, and also the kitchen is clean. I enjoy this place because you do not have to deal with a waiter when it comes to ordering your food. All you have to do is just order at a kiosk, which makes it more convenient. They also sell smoothies, which are very nice as well. I do recommend this place for "to-go" food. To dine in would be okay, but would not be ideal only because it does need a good touch-up; however, the food is always consistent. If you have any questions, there are staff on site. I hope my review helps you make your decision on choosing to visit this location. My Ratings: * Food: 5/5 * Establishment: 2.5/5 * Convenience: 5/5
