My first time at Nick's was the week of Thanksgiving, and the place was packed. It really has the feel of a hometown, locals get together, and hangout kind of place. It was super casual but trendy sort of dining room with a lot of space. The menu has a lot of really good choices and we all had a difficult time deciding. I really enjoyed my French onion soup. The broth was really rich tasting. The open beef sandwich and fries was good but not outstanding.

Nick's is a great restaurant/bar near the bridge in New Cumberland. On the evening we visited, Nick's was bustling and had plenty of obviously well-trained and attentive staff. We sat at the bar for drinks and service was quick and friendly. My draft beer glass was very chilled and the beer itself (Yuengling draft) was also cold and refreshing. The restaurant has lots of TVs with many different sports selections. Volume was appropriate and not overpowering. Four stars only because we didn't try the food--but the restaurant was well-occupied so I think that says something. I look forward to dining at Nick's on a future visit.

Go-to spot. Always open. Tons of tables, tons of servers, consistently excellent food. You can wait for hours at the chain restaurants ... or you can just come to Nick's. Wings, crab cakes (served like 7 ways), salads, comfort foods ... cocktails galore. Are you still looking ... just go already.

Prime Rib sandwich as lunch special was served quickly and delicious. Service was friendly and informative. Give them a try!

This is my aunt's favorite place so we have busted a few times when we come to town! The food has always been great and so is the service. TV's are everywhere so you can watch sports while you enjoy your night out. I've tried crab cakes, onion rings, salads, brownies, fettuccine alfredo , and their Reuben. It's all been delicious!

Packed restaurant for a Friday, but they had it all under control. Our meals came out fast and we were well attended to despite the busyness of the evening. I ordered scallops and the portion size was literally double that of another establishment I had recently visited so I by was very pleased as it was every bit as good. The atmosphere was very casual and though the inside was packed there appeared to be plenty of parking. I would definitely come back and try other food options as everything was so yummy!

A very good place at decent prices, with a wide selection and a staff that hustles and works as a team.

Very good food, I love the crab cake melt. The prices almost doubled during Covid so it is now too expensive to dine often.

This little hole-in-the-wall sits on the backside of a rivertown, serving up old-school vibes and seriously good pizza. The dough and sauce are made in-house, and you can taste it -- crust was crisp yet airy, with a buttery richness and just enough chew to make each bite satisfying. Sauce had a bit of spice, cheese was bubbly, browned, and full of real-deal flavor (no sad, fake cheese here). Toppings? Plentiful and delicious. We came dangerously close to finishing the whole pie, stopping only two slices short. For drinks, my adventure buddy went classy with an Old Fashioned (good, but nothing to write home about -- and the bar's lack of Luxardo cherries made him sad), while I kept it real with a draft Miller Lite. The beer was cold and clean -- and honestly, from a hole-in-the-wall bar, that's something I appreciate. Bartender doubled as our waitress and handled it like a pro, even on a slow Monday night. The place is dark and cozy, decorated with lots of '50s-inspired artwork, and apparently has a rooftop bar -- sadly closed during our summer date night. The bill came to $42 for the pizza, two drinks, and a tip -- budget-friendly date night win. No on-site parking, but plenty of free curb spots out front or municipal lots a block away. Safe area for an after-dark stroll. If you're into unpretentious spots serving pizza that punches above its weight, Fratelli's is your jam.

It seemed to be all over the place and no desserts were listed. I didn't ask neither since I was in a rush to get on my day. The location was easy to find and plenty of parking spots in the lot.

The Review: Men in the Kitchen…read more My reviews are different. I do not announce myself or tell anyone. I am here to do a review!! It was a rainy Sunday, and I was working up a hunger while driving Uber for content. I went to three different spots before I finally found the place I should've gone to first. The food and atmosphere at this restaurant are so good that I want to find another establishment just like it, but so far--at least on this day--nothing in the area can beat it. I don't know why I treat this restaurant like a good wife that a man might constantly cheat on but always returns to. I'm not saying that I actually cheat; I'm just using that for context! So, I found myself once again at Two Men in the Kitchen. Since it was Easter Sunday, they offered a buffet or a special limited menu. There was fish and chicken wings available, and I chose the wings. Since I don't eat meat often, I asked for their "House Sauce," and it is by far amazing. I paired the wings with the 3-cheese baked mac & cheese and sweet potatoes. I went for the sides first because I wanted to save the best for last--I already knew that house sauce was going to be incredible, especially on the chicken and greens eggrolls they have. The mac & cheese was great; it had a crunchy outside yet remained soft in the middle, and the cheese pull was amazing. The sweet potatoes were definitely homemade; I could tell because every slice was a different cut, which I appreciate because it proves they didn't come out of a can. Now for the best part: the chicken wings. They were cooked perfectly--neither overdone nor underdone, with no pink on the inside. Everything was pure. I did happen to taste a little bit of Old Bay on the wings, so I asked the chef if that was part of the secret seasoning. He said no, so maybe someone slipped some in by accident, but it didn't stop me from indulging. I also ordered one of their house special drinks--a Hennessy and rum cocktail. It was a very pretty drink, but unfortunately, I am not a fan of Hennessy. Personally, I think it tastes like house keys or licking a brass knob when you're a kid. On my scale, the drink was a 2 out of 5; I just don't think rum and cognac should mix, but that's just my opinion. The atmosphere was amazing and the bathrooms were clean. I will definitely visit this place again and again, although sometimes it is hard to tell if they are open because of the heavily tinted windows. For those who know the area, this is the old firehouse in Harrisburg. I was told that on the weekends, they clear some tables to create a dance floor, which is a nice touch. There is plenty of bar seating and booths, making it a kid-friendly environment. The only thing I don't like--which applies to every restaurant on 2nd Street--is that it's very hard to find parking. The Scale * Location & Parking: (3/5) * Staff & Engagement: (4/5) * Food Consistency: (4.7/5)

You have to do it online, via text, and it won't allow you to purchase any time less than an hour. Kinda sucks for those carrying out. Totally not the restaurant's fault though. I got the jerk quesadilla without the jerk ranch sauce. They don't serve this or their regular quesadilla with salsa or pica de gallo so it does taste a little bland. The jerk flavor isn't coming thru for me. It's a little disappointing but it's also just a quesadilla so I don't expect much. I'm not deterred though. I'd be interested in trying more on the menu. It seemed like a cozy place to sit and eat. I'd also like to eat there on my next visit. I'll update my review when I do.
