The staff have always been helpful and my daughter, husband and I all wear glasses and have bought them all instore. They have a camera so you can see yourself wearing different pairs of glasses, making it easier to choose a pair. D & A are part of the nectar scheme which may be an advantage to some and there are often vouchers for free or dicounted eye tests in magazines or online.

These people would not stop helping you until you're fully satisfy which is one primary reason I consider this location. I would never forget the day the arm of my spectacle (the one that I have bought from my country) has been detached and these people try to fix it free of charge.

The shop is actually fairly big and very brightly lit which makes looking at the glasses much easier. I found the staff attentive and helpful and I actually visited three times as I was not intending initially to have an eye test. I was due an eye test next month anyway and managed to print a voucher from the internet for a half price eye test and a 10% off voucher for a new pair of glasses. The eye test was effecient and I was seen promptly and the optician explained everything that happened. I was very impressed with the service and hopefully my glasses will be ready to be collected on Tuesday.

They also offer no discounts or vouchers - for example when combining with the purchase of a frame and/or lenses - at least at the time of my visit and despite request. What is worse is their staff attitude and lack of professionalism. The prescription was scrawled on a piece of paper rather than providing it in the standard industry-standard format and on something that might be more easily retained. They also were completely unwilling (unlike their competitors) to provide the interpupillary distance and varifocal height measurements. (I have previously been able to receive this from Vision Express as an example of the difference in behaviours). Further still, as a walk-in customer no availability was available that day for a eye-test. Perfectly fine with this we proceeded to make our way out to be told that, "they would squeeze us in"; they had one or two appointments free. Surprised - given what I was just told, I asked what time and I was then told - anytime I wanted. Should have walked away then and I was foolish for not doing so. Will not (ever) be visiting this opticians again.
