We contacted a few junk removal companies through Yelp and 98 Junk Removal came in with the best price and quickest arrival time. On the day of the appointment they showed up as promised and made quick work of loading the stuff (and there was quite a bit of it). They even swept up when they were done which was unnecessary, but appreciated. I have to say, this is definitely the kind of company you should save in your contacts. You never know when you'll need a reliable and affordable junk removal company and 98 Junk Removal is definitely that. Five stars from me. I would definitely recommend these guys.

SECOND UPDATE: The owner has now modified his response twice, not only to correct his grammar but try to clean up his response and attempt to make it more professional. But at the end of the day, the entire interaction and all his responses still remain extremely unprofessional. I just purchased a new home and I'm doing renovations. I had some construction debris/junk that needs to be thrown out. I hired the Junk Squad to come out and pick it up. They were supposed to arrive at 12pm and after calling and texting the supposed owner Damien multiple times, he finally said his driver would be here at 1:15. I told him how unprofessional the interaction had been and he got offended and decided not to do the work he was hired for. Most of the conversation was through text so o have proof of the terrible service. When I called the 1800 number to complain to the owner, Damian answered and was incredibly rude and disrespectful over the phone and hung up on me. I don't know if he's the owner or not but I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. So buyer beware and don't hire the Junk Squad.

Communication became inconsistent, responses were not timely, and the contracted job was never completed despite multiple opportunities, delays, and assurances that the work would be finished. It was disappointing to see the relationship end this way, especially after so many positive experiences in the past.

Over a week ago, I arranged to have this company come to remove a queen bed/box spring today. They promised to come by between 1-2PM. They never showed, so my roommate called the rep (Marcus) . . . "he forgot about the appointment and was heading to the junk yard already". He said that he "might" be able to come by after or tomorrow, Saturday. We called to confirm if/when he would be coming, no answer. I texted, no answer. How does a business operate like this?? This company only had 1 review and it was rated a 4. I took a chance because I surmised they were a small business and the price was reasonable. I should have gone with a reputable company with many more reviews. If I could have given them zero stars I would have. You know, I would have given them some slack if they had the common courtesy to call me back, apologize, and commit to making things right by honoring their commitment the next day. But no . . . dead silence! If you're reading this post, do yourself a favor and find a reputable company company with more reviews, because this company wasted our entire day today. They simply suck! Update: 9/21/19. Marcus texted me yesterday to apologize for the mix-up and for not coming by to pick up our old bed yesterday as promised. I appreciated that as we all make mistakes from time to time, and that apology was a big plus for me. He agreed to be here today by 10AM to do the pick up before my new furniture arrives. And they kept their word! Another big plus for me. They got here minutes before 10AM, again apologized for their failure to come by yesterday, and quickly removed the old furniture. Will I use them again?? Absolutely! Why? Because of how they responded to my disappointment and frustration from yesterday. Junk Removal Crew has redeemed themselves in my eyes and they will be the first ones I call when I have similar needs in the future. Thank you Marcus!
