I had my car towed to their location and they called me back within the hour, turns out the anti theft was turned on when I removed the battery because I thought it was the battery that died. NOT TRUSTWORTHY…read more "Avoid This Shop for Safety Checks!" Took my Lancer to Master Mechanic for a safety check, and it was an absolute nightmare. Halfway through, they called to tell me they couldn't find my wheel lock key and said they'd only charge me an hour's labor because they cannot complete the safety che k without it. I told them the wheel lock key was in the glove box, but they refused to check. I ended up paying $120 for an hour of labor and now they expect me to return and pay $169 again for the safety check. All because they didn't bother looking where I told them the key was and saw a young kid they could scam another 120$ from. This isn't the first time either. They pulled a similar stunt with my Mustang last summer and I ended up having it scrapped. when they were called on it. There was "nothing they could do" Lesson learned. I'll be taking my vehicles to Fitzsimmons from now on. Don't waste your time or money here. Absolutely would not recommend! 0 stars if possible.

From the moment I arrived, they made me feel completely comfortable and welcome. I had my toddler with me, and they immediately noticed and offered her crayons and a coloring book to keep her entertained while we waited. It's the little things like that make such a big difference as a parent. I don't usually handle the car maintenance myself--my husband typically takes care of it--but I had to bring it in this time. As a woman who's not well-versed in mechanics, I've often felt uneasy in the past with other places that pressure you into upsells. That was not the case here. Ace was completely transparent, never pushy, and explained everything clearly without any upselling or unnecessary "extras." I really appreciated the honesty. When my daughter started having a mild tantrum, they were incredibly patient, letting me take care of her without rushing or making me feel awkward. I will definitely be returning for all my future car service needs and highly recommend this Jiffy Lube to anyone in the area. A huge thank you to Ace and Brenna for their fantastic service, kindness, and patience!

My wife and I have been coming to Master Mechanic in Whitby for over 20 years. Garry Hook, the…read moreowner, is the only mechanic that we trust our vehicles with. Garry is incredibly knowledgable, extremely ethical and very professional. We've come to truly appreciate his honesty over the years. If work needs to be done on our car, he lets us know, but if work isn't needed, then he clearly lets us know that as well. On one occasion, our van needed a new transmission. Although he does not do transmission work himself, we discussed the merits of getting a new transmission versus buying a new car. Based on the soundness of our van, we ultimately decided that it was best to replace the transmission. He recommended another shop to us and he didn't even charge us for the diagnostic work that he did on the van. Garry is truly one of a kind in the business, and is the ONLY mechanic that we trust our vehicles with! I whole heartedly recommend him and his staff.

When I picked up the car, Greg actually told me they have done more than what I've asked for as there were more needed, but billed me the same price and he put down what else are having deficiencies so I'm aware of what may come next. Overall, super friendly, know what they do and don't scam people. I wish there are more mechanics like them!
