If you want a place that has flavors that will blow your socks off and a staff that insists that you try them all before you buy one then come here . This is by far some of the best ice cream ive had in years. Not to mention I got a pint and they stack 3 flavors neatly into it . I felt bad because I tried like 10 flavors before I picked and the didnt care at all. The place felt new and clean so I'll definitely be making multiple trips back in the future. Im sure they will have new flavor to try also

I was sitting watching the Super Bowl and my wife bought 4 different flavors and I'm enjoying my butter pecan and my wife says try this toasted coconut oh my goodness this is the best ice cream I've ever had come coconut really!!!! I'll never go to another place again.

One of my favorite ice cream spots and I'm so glad they opened up a shop in Middletown. I love their variety of flavors and new flavors they introduce. I really enjoyed their cannoli ice cream!

I have tried Nicholas Creamery in Fair Haven and also had it at Nicholas Barrel & Rooster. I decided to try the Middletown location to give the creamery another try. For some reason, I'm not a big fan of this place dispute the stellar reviews and long lines. Their flavors sound tasty but a lot of their speciality flavors get sold out quickly. The PeanutButterpalooza is good but I wish it had more Oreos and peanut butter cups. I had a milkshake with the PeanutButterpalooza ice cream and it was okay. I like my milkshakes thick and it wasn't the consistency I was hoping for. Nonetheless, decent ice cream spot.

Great ice cream choices here. Love their cookies and cream. Ton of toppings also! $0.50 CC fee sucks a bit.

It was National Ice Cream Day and I just had to get some ice cream! I've been seeing a lot about Nicholas Creamery on social media and was glad to learn that they recently opened a new location in Middletown. My mom and I decided to stop by after doing some grocery shopping at the Shoprite across the parking lot. When we arrived, there was a line but nothing crazy. After looking over the flavors, I decided to go with toasted coconut and strawberry shortcake in a waffle bowl. It was delicious! They have a selection of flavors that will always be available, and they have monthly flavors in addition to that. Therefore, you'll have reason to return every month to try something new. The service was good as well. As an ice cream lover, I see myself making pretty frequent visits to Nicholas Creamery.

With several locations along the Jersey Shore, this Middletown location is the newest. Huge, bright, airy, and busy but no seating on the inside which is kinda sad because I wanted to enjoy my ice cream while looking at what other flavors I should get next. Your only option is either the two benches outside or your car. The servers looked tired but the young man who helped me was nice enough. I picked the Vegan Speculoos Cookie which was AMAZING! The texture was different but the flavor was all there! $5 and some change for a small. I scream, you cream...

Great ice cream, friendly, patient staff. Pretty broad selection of flavors with a few standard ones. They do tend to be pricey

Polar Bear Ice Cream

Polar Bear Ice Cream

Solid, solid ice cream located RIGHT ON the highway…read more After hitting up the beach on a Saturday afternoon, the sweltering, hot temps called for us to go grab some sweeeet ol' ice cream and, fortunately, Polar Bear was only a few minutes from the beach that we were coming from. We arrived at around 3:30 PM and there was barely a soul here, although there were customers puling off the highway every once in a while to make a purchase. Polar Bear is a strictly outdoor ice cream establishment, meaning they have a few benches to their side, but there is no indoor seating area for customers. The ice cream shop has pictures of ice cream and multiple menus plastered everywhere on their windows, so it's a bit overwhelming when you walk up to them, but they basically serve hard ice cream, soft serve, sundaes, shakes and Italian ices. If you're lost and not sure of what to order, feel free to ask them what their best selling flavors are (LIKE THE DEER IN HEADLIGHTS THAT WE WERE). They told us that their most popular ice creams were the hard Black Raspberry and Banana soft serve, so we ordered each on a small cone to themselves. Verdict??? Personally, I liked the Banana soft serve more. It DEFINITELY was banana, based on the taste, and it was very refreshing. Honestly, I'm not a huge banana ice cream fan, but this was really good. As for the Black Raspberry, it was solid, but I felt that it needed to be jussssst a tad sweeter because I didn't think I could taste it all that well. I will say that the serving sizes of the ice creams were huuuuuge, so it was nice to feel like we got our money's worth on the small cones. Also, if you've got kids with you (like us), you can ask for a free cone to split some of the ice cream onto multiple cones, which we do alll of the time everywhere. Definitely a nice little ice cream shop and I love that it's located right off the highway on State Route 36, so if you're traveling in the area, you don't have to go far because all you have to do is literally pull over and park.

This spot is great and as a lot of classic options with new flavors. I had a waffle cone with…read morecoconut chocolate and caramel. SO GOOD. perfect when you're leaving the beach or before you get to the beach. It's a chill spot, the front of the space is in direct sun, however behind the building is where the shade is and you'll see people eating their ice cream in the back. Service was great, honestly we thought we were going to pay a lot more and ended up just giving extra tip. Highly recommend this spot.

I couldn't order anything due to the overwhelming smell of cleaning products and milk mixed together. I just couldn't wait to get out of there. The staff were nice & they seemed to have a bunch of options. I wouldn't mind coming back one day. Maybe they could find a way to air out the place so the smell isn't so strong.

This is the kind of ice cream place I would enjoy taking guests to. A very wide selection of unique flavors (that also seemed to be very generous with add-ins), offers soft serve, frozen yogurt. and hard ice cream, as well as sherbet. The toppings menu is also extensive allowing for tons of customization so everyone can leave happy. Needless to say, when I walked in, I had to ask for some extra time just to take in all my options! The interior is optimized for take-out ice cream, both in the way the queue is setup (using freezers filled with take home pints and treats), but also with the limited seating both inside and outside. Be prepared to enjoy your dessert in your car during a nice summer day. Prices were very fair and I thought the flavors had good taste, though some were tastier than others (so be sure to ask for a sample if you're between options. I tried one that was a bit more artificial than I prefer.) The man who served me during my visit seemed agitated and perhaps overwhelmed so I won't take points off for what seemed like a bad day. Overall would recommend giving them a shot
