She truly takes her time with each visit. She is not the type of doctor who rushes through an appointment in ten minutes just to move on to the next patient. She has strong knowledge in areas like dermatology and shows real passion for figuring out other underlying medical concerns. She looks beyond the obvious and focuses on your overall health. Later, I found out that she charged my insurance company $520 for my visit, in which she provided no care, in addition to making me buy $150 worth of foot-care products that are not covered by Medicare. She's not only unconscionable as a care provider, ill-mannered as a medical professional, and grossly incompetent. She should not be practicing as a medical professional period. Since I moved to San Diego in early February this year, I have seen a podiatrist who took care of my condition, and my toes are looking far much better.

Had both R and L Achilles tendon surgeries for tendinosis around 15 yrs ago; then this past Fall…read moregot a partial rupture of my R Achilles. Was totally crippled, could barely hobble to the bathroom, and my Kaiser podiatrist didn't clarify that I had a partial rupture, much less that it probably was due to taking prednisone for another condition (i.e., didn't warn me to assiduously avoid steroids); and the only options he provided were "watch and wait" or a complex procedure that would take a year to recover from. When I then switched from Kaiser "Senior Advantage" to traditional Medicare with AARP secondary I asked him who I should see in community and the PAMF podiatrist he recommended referred me to Dr. Meagan Jennings for a TENEX procedure with PRP (platelet rich plasma) in which she is specially trained. The surgery went great and I was able to walk pretty normally by about 3 months post-op with the help of wonderful physical therapy from Break-Through; I'm now 5 months post-op and still improving! I can't help but wonder why Kaiser didn't recommend this procedure, for which I was a "perfect candidate" -- maybe none of their podiatrists are trained in it and they're too frugal to refer patients out for it, who knows. I'll also mention that Dr. Jennings and her staff are all helpful, kind, friendly, and professional. My highest recommendation!

I'm a really active person and unfortunately blew my achilles a week and half ago. I found Dr. Dastgah after a bad experience with Sutter where I was given the runaround and pretty much told to wait weeks before even getting an ultrasound. I'm so lucky I did. Gretchen was able to get me in right away and Dr. Dastgah immediately splinted me and both of them went out of their way to get me into an MRI ASAP. For anyone who doesn't know, there is a small window for a ruptured achilles where surgery is an option, which allows you to eventually return to full mobility and athletic movement. If I hadn't found Dr. Dastgah and Gretchen, I would've been waiting still for Sutter would've lost the option for surgery which means I might have a limp and never be able to do explosive movements again. It's not hyperbole to say that finding Dr. Dastgah saved my life. To lose mobility in my right foot would've meant a loss of identity and mental health that would be hard to fathom. I'm so so lucky we found really wonderful people who did everything in their power to help me. If you have any type of foot issue, Dr. Datsgah is your woman, she loves her job and will go out of her way to help you.
