I just wanted to sincerely thank Dr. Elardo and his team for the excellent care I received at both Bay Area Foot Care (Los Gatos) and Silicon Valley Surgery Center. From my very first appointment through surgery and follow-up visits, Dr. Elardo made me feel completely at ease. He took the time to answer all of my questions and provided clear information about the procedure and post-surgery recovery, which really helped me feel confident in my decision to move forward. Surgery: The procedure itself was quick and smooth. The staff was kind, professional, and very supportive throughout the entire process. Post-surgery: Even with a pin and screw placed, the pain was very manageable. I chose not to take the prescribed pain medication and only used Tylenol occasionally at night, just in case I bumped my foot while sleeping. The leg elevation pillow was incredibly helpful and made a big difference in my comfort. Pin & Screw Removal: This part sounded intimidating at first, and I was definitely nervous, but Dr. Elardo handled everything with such skill and care. I didn't feel any pain during either removal. I'm still in the recovery process and know it will take a few more weeks, but I'm already very happy with my results and truly grateful for the care I've received. Thank you :) read more

Dr. Elardo? 5 stars. Office staff? -10 stars. Had x-rays. Phoned the next day and requested a CD of them. Was told I'd get a call when it was ready. Phoned 2 days later and asked for status. Was told they could not see my request. Woman said she'd transfer me. Call got dropped. Called again and this time got transferred. Explained I needed to pick up the CD later that morning. Was told the message would be relayed. Then I was tied up for 20 min., during which time the office phoned me twice, but didn't bother to leave a message. I called back and again got transferred. Was told that, by law, they had 10 days to provide a CD. But that nothing had been done because they had other things to do. My response? It takes 30 seconds to burn a CD. Then the story changed... They hadn't done the CD because I hadn't paid for it ($35). WTH? Why, when I initially called, wasn't I told about the 10 days AND the $35? I have picked up CDs in the past from other facilities...have NEVER been charged. Guess what? I'm looking for a new podiatrist. read more

Excellent and Good Man! Very little Pain for my Bunion Surgery....His partner Doctor An...Very Professional and thorough....

Scheduling scheduling scheduling! They suck at it. Even after multiple calls and a note that if I do not get an appointment l, I have to go to urgent care, they never called me back. First up, no one picks up the phone and if they do magically, they take a message and never do anything about it. I am going elsewhere. Cannot handle this attitude anymore for pressing issues or even follow-ups read more

After putting off bunion surgery for 25+ years, I finally got it done. Thank you to Dr Elardo! I am ecstatic with the results! Dr Elardo is a wonderful physician. Patient, empathetic, highly experienced, and professional. He kept me well informed throughout the pre and post surgical process. All facets of his practice perform as a well trained, caring, professional, and well oiled machine. He makes it look easy! This was my first surgical procedure of any kind, and I am grateful for how well I was taken care of throughout the process. I look forward to having my other foot done, and trust Dr Elardo and his team to get me where I need to be. I can't thank them enough. read more

Dr. Elardo is an excellent doctor. He has treated my whole family for over 20 years and we highly recommend him.

I don't know where to start.... Okay my foot is in terrible shape. I had a fasciotomy done. I was told " everyone gets better". Well, not everyone. Shortly after I mentioned my pain and discomfort. I was told no restrictions. My foot got worse. I'm now in a boot. It's been 2 years 8 months. I was told that there's a machine that reduces scar tissue. I was told it was around 60 dollars. After driving from Sacramento for the appointment I was told 600. He wanted to cut up my other foot I said no. Just be careful. I almost did it. Dr Elardo is very personable. This is a very bad thing for me. read more

Foot specialist. Great bedside manner, excellent care. Everyone in office very friendly and helpful

Top notch doctor! He knows exactly what is going on with your feet right away and is fast about dealing with it. I just had to go for a check up and support inserts. Super friendly guy and he's also chit chatty in a good way. I would highly recommend Dr Elardo for anyone who has foot or ankle issues and is in your insurance. He's in a new building that is very clean and spacious. read more

I found my visit to Dr. Elardo's office to be a very pleasant. Dr. was very professional and very kind. He explained things thoroughly, pointing out his concerns on my x-rays and recommending a plan of action to resolve my issues. I found that his office staff was very helpful and willing to extend themselves to resolve any issues I might have had. The whole team is very supportive. read more

Dr Elardo is amazing! His staff is great and office is nice! Would definitely recommend him!

Good caring doctor. I'm 3 weeks post surgery and very happy at how well I'm recovering

It is rare to find a doctor who is genuinely concerned about their patients, who takes the time to listen to his patients concerns, explain treatment options, as well as provide the excellent medical expertise and care needed. I highly recommend Dr. Elardo for this, along with his professionalism and ability to make patients feel at ease. Also, I have found Dr. Elardo's front office staff to be friendly, very efficient when checking in especially, when other patients are arriving at the same time. His medical staff is top-notch. I give Dr. Elardo and his office 5 stars because they deserve these. read more

I have worked at Bascom Surgery Center in the past as a Surgical Technologist. I've worked with so many podiatrists in my 23 years all over the Bay Area. I've practically worked with Dr. Elardo everyday and I've seen his skills and knowledge with his specialty. He is caring to his staff in his office, surgery centers and to his patients. I myself wouldn't hesitate to have him do any of my surgeries. I highly recommend him. read more

Dr. Elardo is great, I had hammer toe surgery a few years ago, the results were great. My recovery was fine. Like any surgical procedures recovery can be hard to predict. I'm here again to talk about Neuroma surgery, I and other family members who have had procedures before with Dr. Elardo and all of us have had great results with acceptable recovery times. Dr. Elardo is an excellent surgeon, and his after care is top notch. read more

Professional office and Dr Elardo is a caring and experienced podiatrist. My husband and I have been coming here for the last 5 years due to multiple issues including resulting in athletes foot being cured, high foot arch pain which was solved by shoe inserts, and neuroma pain which was successfully treated surgically. Complete confidence and wonderful experience each time with Dr Elardo. read more

I had hammer toe surgery by Dr Elardo on May 12th. All aspects of my treatment have been absolutely first class! Pain was less than I expected and things are healing well. The pin in my toe was removed yesterday after 3 weeks and two days, with no pain to speak of during that process. As far as pain medication is concerned I never even used any of the heavy duty stuff/opioids, and only used Aleve regularly for the first 3 days after surgery. Since then I have only needed it a few times. The office visits have been well managed and convenient Even the Xray machine is easy to use while standing! I am completely satisfied by Dr Elardo's treatment so far! Plus, he is a great guy and very personable. I absolutely recommend him to anyone needing foot surgery. read more

Has been super helpful with a feet podiatry issues. I ended up having to get shots between my toes on one visit and in the bottom of each foot on another.. Now, hear me out. I am NOT a fan of needles at all! Dr. Elardo uses a freezing spray first and had the great sense to position the rolling tray in a way that I could not see the needle or my foot. This made a big difference.. The fist shot between my toes was a non event, I did not feel it at all. The shots in the bottom of my foot just felt very uncomfortable, but not painful. This guy has a great bedside manner. I would highly recommend! read more

Unprofessional office. You may wait for your appointment - sometimes for an hour or more (despite confirmation beforehand that doctor is on time); your appointments may be rescheduled multiple times if the office can squeeze in a surgery, you may be shuffled from person to person over the phone, and promised calls back are not returned. This office differs significantly from other offices in terms of patient procedures - always to protect themselves and ensure they get paid handsomely beforehand despite more than adequate insurance coverage. Poor patient experience, except for Dr. Elardo himself. read more

I will start by saying that Dr. Elardo is very personable and seems like a nice guy. I came to him after 14 years of debilitating plantar fasciitis to discuss surgery. He told me he could do the plantar fascia release and I would be able to walk within a week or two. I asked him specifically if I should ask my mother in law to come help me out with my two kids and he said that would not be necessary. I asked when he thought I could walk my daughter the few blocks to her school again and he said the following week. Well it all sounded too good to be true and it absolutely was. My surgery was in October, it is March and I still cannot walk my daughter to school. Imagine my surprise on the second day after surgery when I could not walk at all. I had to scramble to find someone to lend me crutches and to pick up my kids from school and feed them as I was completely out of commission. Recovery has been incredibly difficult. Every day for the past 6 months I ice (A LOT), stretch, rest, roll out my calves etc. I also tape my feet every day and have lost 10 pounds in the hopes that would help. My surgery foot is still nowhere near as strong as my non-surgery foot (both feet were in the same condition pre-surgery.) At this point all I can hope for is to one day get back to where I started but I am honestly not sure I ever will. I am still using a kneel scooter whenever I have to do something outside the house. I have so much anger and sadness every time I think of it I was not sure if I should write this review but if I can save someone else from this experience than I feel compelled to do so. When I came in for my follow up the only advice I was given was to keep wearing the surgery shoe. On the plus side Dr. Elardo did make me some orthotics which I've been able to tolerate. Also my non-surgery foot has improved thanks to all the rest I've been forced to do. read more

Dr. Elardo, while chronically tardy, is a fantastic doctor! We usually have to wait for an hour beyond our appointment time, but he's made a difference in my youngest's gait. She's nearly pain-free for the first time in years! read more

I am a chiropractor, and I have had a very large bunion for many years. I finally decided to have a bunionectomy, not because it hurt (it rarely did), but because I was concerned that if I waited much longer it would start to deform my foot in a way that would necessitate more complex radical surgeries. I went to 3 different podiatrists and 3 very different recommendations on surgery types. I chose Dr. Elardo, not only because he understood my lifestyle and recommended the sanest and least radical surgery, but he also accurately diagnosed and successfully cured what NO dermatologist or podiastrist had ever done. He told me that I had a skin fungus on my foot and wanted that cleared before he did surgery. Everyone else had told me it was dry skin! We are talking years and years of cracking peeling skin on my foot. Ick! Now my skin is like a baby's bottom (skin wise!) and the surgery went off without a hitch. I had very little pain. Swelling takes awhile to resolve. Was able to hike the hills in 5 weeks time. Barely noticeable scar and the bunion is gone!. Today I had Dr. Elardo drain a huge synovial cyst. He is so skillful. Not one bit of pain. Awesome Podiatrist. I recommend him to my patients regularly. Oh, and I love his staff. They are all excellent read more

Dr. Stephen An helped me with my podiatry issue which was not an easy one since it also involved a dermatology related problem. He did a great job explaining my options and finally an excision procedure. He was very knowledgeable, professional, conscientious and answered all my questions very honestly. I would highly recommend him as a positive member of Dr. Elardo's team. read more

Consummate professional. I have seen Dr. Elardo now for two foot issues. Ended up getting orthotics and he treated my plantar fasciitis where the pain was gone in one day. Very courteous, listens well, and really explains what is going on. Just a quality physician. Highly recommended for any foot/ankle issues. read more

This guy rocks! Well he could rock more if he would just relax. No just kidding. I have seen this guy a few times. The first time was back in 99-00 for the weird growth on my toe. He had it diagnosed in a few minutes, setup a time to operate in the office and I haven't had a problem since. I have recommended him to several others that have had great results with him. Of late I started to have pain in the bottom of my foot. Some days not as much as others so I decided to go see him. Within just a few minutes he had it nailed to PLANTAR FASCIITIS. Talk about a painful thing to have. Well I get to have some cool custom orthodics now for the rest of my life. Barbara is a cool cat and needs to be mentioned in the review because she does a great job. I would say if you have a pain in your foot, and it's not your mate, then this is the guy to see. The one knock against this office is that their magazine selection is way below the office standard, I mean who reads ELDER! read more

Dr. Elardo performed foot surgery on my daughter a few weeks ago. He did an excellent job and she is back walking a lot faster than we expected. He made my daughter very comfortable with every step of the process, especially on the day if the surgery. We couldn't be happier with Dr. Elardo! read more

He has been treating my plantar fasciitis and I have had excellent results under his care. His staff really goes the extra mile to make your visit as smooth and easy as possible. I've been seeing Dr.Elardo for my ankle and foot issues lately. He is competent, easy to talk to and most importantly has good office staff. I recently had issues with my insurance and Chris at accounting stayed with me patiently as I went back and forth with my insurance company. Insurance headaches are often more painful than real headaches so it was a relief to have it all sorted out. read more

My husband went to Dr Elardo and he was great. Fixed my husband up. No more pain on the bottom of his foot. I got a happy man again

Very unprofessional! I was not told they did not take medical. When I was making my appointment the person I spoke to asked what insurance I had and I told them I had medical. I get there and they tell me they don't! If I new this ahead of time I would of not wasted my time and would of been seen already!i Waited. 1 week for the appointment after breaking my toe. All their apologies mean nothing! Also the front desk person was just blurting out my business. Kept repeating that don't accept medical. read more

1) After two years, the Doctor Elardo said he will again re-do x-ray. When I asked why he said "the old x-ray machine was not good". In new x-ray we found a crack, that was not visible in old x-ray. Very sweet. 2) The receptionist told she got $210 paid by insurance company. I got confused, "excuse me..". She told again, "two years back you paid $250 deposit for casting and shoe insert, for which insurance paid us, so your money is sitting here for two years". Very sweet. 3) The doctor is not interested in analyzing or correcting gait or stance. He means "business". Very sweet. read more

Dr. Elardo has been great. No nonsense, he diagnosed my issue immediately and correctly (based on other information that I have) and helped me get surgery scheduled. The staff has been good. Dr. Elardo rocks! He has taken care of my family and I for quite a while. Nice guy, who cares and takes the time explain and answer any and all of your questions. He always takes the additional time to take excellent care of my 85 year old Dad. I dropped a 45 lb weight on my big toe at the gym; he was able to see and diagnose me the next day. He has also done bunion surgery on my foot. Pain gone! Barbara and the staff there are also EXCELLENT!!! read more

Dr. Elardo is located on Los Gatos Road, not too far from Good Samaritan offices. He is a podiatrist, and I only wish his practice would spill into other areas. He is knowledgeable, efficient, professional, and direct. He tells you what he thinks the problem is, what can be done, and the possible outcomes. He clearly does not make promises he doesn't think he can deliver. Best of all, he takes an interest in you, the patient, treats you with respect and does not dismiss your concerns. He actually remembers you from visit to visit. Trust your feet to no one else! read more

Wait time for an appointment is usually 45 minutes. Paid $250 for orthopedics and was told I'd get my money back when my insurance paid them. They had my money sitting in their office for months, and I only received my money back when I called them about it. Xray machine is archaic, and directions for the next steps and care were absent. Surgery was not successful to say the least. read more
