I called prior to the appt with my son to let them know we'd be a little late due to an accident on 476. No one called me until I'm about 5 mins away from the office to say my son cannot be seen it's only a 20 min appt. That's a load of horse shit! I've referred countless people here because they accept the Medicaid insurance and I will no longer refer my patients here so not only will they lose my business they'll lose those referrals. I asked to speak with the doctor to see if he can make an exception since we drove 1hr and 20 mins to this office. They didn't allow me to speak with the doctor. I asked to speak with an office manager nothing. I'm currently waiting for someone to even acknowledge me after sitting to say something about the doctor or anything. This doesn't sound like a place that values its patients or are considerate of circumstances. Life happens. Not to mention I took off to bring my son to this appt. Very rude and very nasty. I'll continue to refer my patients to Dr Hodges where they care! I know that orthodontist that accept the Medicaid is scarce in Philadelphia but think twice before coming here. Also they called 6x and had two appts in the schedule which they said "our bad" about. When asking how's the treatment coming along you don't get a clear answer. This was an overall bad experience. I wish I had taken him elsewhere.

Through my insurance (BlueCross) I found Dr. Weiner's office, nestled in a strip mall next to a Little Caesars pizza place (hot and ready anyone?). It took me a few days to get over the trauma that Dr. Kirkwood put me through to extract those 2 teeth. I feel that he is some kind of a sadist, putting me through the pain that I felt from the needles he injected me with, without anesthetizing the area where the injections were going. As I was screaming from the horrible pain, all I was told that it would be over in a matter of minutes. I think he enjoyed hearing my horrible screams. It was quite barbaric. I definitely would not recommend them to anyone. If you feel apprehensive about your dental experience, definitely find another practice.
