During that time, his appointments were repeatedly cancelled and rescheduled, causing unnecessary delays and frustration. I personally requested a call back from the doctor to discuss the situation, and despite making that request, I never received a call. The lack of communication and follow-through was extremely disappointing. We were also told that the office had placed a rush order with the dental laboratory. I work in the dental field myself, and while turnaround times can vary depending on the laboratory and case, a legitimate rush denture repair/remake should not reasonably result in a nine-week ordeal. The explanation simply did not match the amount of time it ultimately took. What was most frustrating was not just the delay, but the poor customer service, repeated cancellations, lack of communication, and failure to have a doctor follow up when specifically requested. My father deserved much better care and consideration throughout this process. A patient should not have to repeatedly call, chase appointments, and request basic communication to get a dental appliance replaced. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this office to anyone looking for a practice that values communication, reliability, and patient service.

Everything was organized and they asked all the important question about my medical and dental history. They left nothing out. When I first met Dr Veys I was totally impressed. She examined me front to back, up and down, inside and out. I apologized for the mess my mouth was in. I saw a Prosthodontist for almost 9 years. I spend a lot of money, time, pain and not to mention anxiety. This dentist I saw was a salesman and sold me a lot of junk. Whatever work that was done had to be redone. Dr Veys was able to fix and undue the damage that was done and I didn't have to take a second mortgage. I never had to sit around. She ran pretty much on schedule. This was wonderful after waiting hours to see the other dentist. I spent more time walking out of appointments which was horrible, lack of patients time and unprofessional. I didn't have the anxiety of her discussing money and what things cost. The previous dentist would talk money before working on me. Even telling me how to pay for the work. I thought that was the job of the front office? There is never any pressure at Dr Veys. All financial services are handled with the staff at the front desk. Erica explains everything on the bill. Also, I found it interesting that when I would ask questions she would appear annoyed. I have gone to another dentist who is wonderful. I explained my family wants required procedures and we're happy to discuss any that are anything else. What we didn't want was every visit to be told we need work, when we didn't. He also takes the time to really explain the what and why of his work - it's really fantastic. Example: Last time I went to Veys several years ago I was told I had several teeth that needed cavity work. My new dentist never mentioned a thing. He did say everything looked great and he advised on items that might be coming within the next 10 years due to my age. The room I was in was not the cleanest, so I was a little put off by that. But the hygienist was nice and the doctor (the younger Shore) gave me a good once-over and sent me on my way. I returned for my second cleaning recently and was more impressed after getting to see more of the office. My hygienist was different this time, but I really liked her. She was very friendly and her cleaning didn't hurt a little bit even once! I also got panoramic x-rays done in a fancy machine and didn't have to bite down on all the things they usually put in your mouth for scans; those things hurt my pallet. After the cleaning and x-rays were complete the founding Dr. Shore came to check me out. He's so hip and cool, with all his little jute bracelets. He complimented my teeth and sent me on my merry way. Another thing I noticed is there are a ton of staff that work here. I think Shore-Snyder is single-handedly employing all of Norwood! Their parking lot is huge with plenty of free parking and because of this it's an easy in and out. The front desk staff is highly professional. Appointments are always on time. Billing has always been great. The hygienists are professional and pleasant. My dentist is professional and pleasant and I never get the feeling that they're trying to work up the bill here as in my previous dental practice. My daughter also comes here twice a year for a check up and cleaning and she comes in from the city. I would highly recommend this practice.
