Ramiro and his crew removed and replaced 75' of old fence. I had the work done in early summer which is the busiest part of the fencing season and i have zero complaints. NVF uses quality materials and Ramiro is a true fencing craftsman, he and his employees work their butts off and left a clean worksite. It did take some time for the work to start, and once started, it took a bit longer than he initially said it would (he was working evenings only and seemed to have an issue with his other guy showing up). We had a good experience with the first portion of our fencing project and rehired Ramiro for a second job. Ramiro quoted one price, we made some adjustments due to change in fence line and a portion was to be wood versus chain link, and m never received any indication that there would be a price difference. 3 months later the new fence was completed and I was told (without an invoice) to pay over $3K more than what was agreed upon. Lack of customer service, unethical billing practices, and an overall disregard for customer satisfaction forces me to write this review and only rate this company 1 star - buyer beware. read more

Would highly recommend Nice View Fence! We got three quotes for our side fence replacement and they were right in the middle of the three. Ramiro came out and gave us a detailed explanation of what materials they would use and how their fences hold up to the northwest conditions. He laid out the timeline for the project and got the job done a day before he said he would. Overall this crew was very professional and we are very satisfied with the job they did. Ramiro's fences are constructed using longer jumbo posts, secured in concrete, high grade cedar rails and boards using stainless steel nails. His work product was exceptional, including multiple gates of varying size and design. He kept us informed of schedule changes and was highly responsive to our questions every step of the way. Other than having to wait due to one of the workers having Covid, the work was meticulous and we love the results. Their work hours are a bit unconventional, sometimes showing up at 1:00 pm or later, but they always stayed late and worked very hard. They were also very polite and friendly. I regret not reading yelp reviews on this guy before hiring him. So much time and energy were wasted. He came out and gave us a quote. We agreed, signed the contract and made an appointment with him three weeks in advance for him to install a new fence. Three weeks later, he texted me that he could not make it due to some car trouble. Sounds familiar? Another week went by, and my neighbor and I were still waiting to hear back from him. We made several attempts to contact him, but he did not answer our calls. So, I texted him one last time to cancel the contract and asked him NOT to do this to again to other people. If you are not interested in the job, at least have the courtesy to let people know. Don't waste your time with this guy. read more

It took Romero almost 3 months to come do our fence after the initial date we agreed on. 1. We gave him a design of the fence we wanted. On the day of install, he said he couldn't do it the way we wanted. We had to settle on his design. 2. He has no respect for plants. He sprayed blue paint on them to mark the post positions. He cut branches without asking first. Even after I asked him not to cut a specific branch, he went ahead and did it. 3. He will position the new posts the way he wants, which changed the position of the fence we wanted. This way, he didn't have to remove the old concrete from the posts. That will cost you more, but he doesn't tell you that up front. 4. He didn't use spacers between the boards when installing so lots of boards are uneven. 5. He used some severely cracked and split boards. They were definitely this way when installed. We didn't noticed until we started staining. Like the others say, you get what you pay for. I would not recommend him. read more

Nice View Fence will provide you with a good fence, at a low cost. I went out for several bids, and they were the lowest. However, you do indeed get what you pay for. Nice View did not use stainless nails, so within about 6 months, the lower grade nails they used began rusting and left rust stain trails down the fence. I resolved by applying a dark stain. My other concern is their customer service and willingness to stand behind their work. A large RV gate they installed began failing about six months after the job was completed. I called, emailed, and texted numerous times over a 3 month period with no response. I ended up going to another contractor who helped resolve, and subsequently used them for additional fencing needs. Romero's a good guy, and his team does good work, however I suspect they're too busy for their own good. Perhaps Nice View should consider hiring an admin person to assist with customer service. read more

I ask them to build my fence they did the exact opposite of what I asked then when I asked them to fix it they charged my credit card and said it was my mistake. I made it very clear what I wanted buyer beware don't give them your credit card number. They also built the fence with broken cedar planks they promised to fix it but won't return my phone calls. I called and scheduled an appointment for an estimate to replace some fencing. When Romiro didn't show up I called and he said he thought it was for the next day. He showed up the next day and gave me what I thought was a good estimate and indicated he could start at the end of the next month. However, I told him that I wanted to get another estimate. He wasn't pleased with that, but I told him I would let him know within a day or two. Then I decided to choose his company and called him. He declined. I guess the fact that I wanted another estimate angered him or something. Seems like a funny way to run a business. read more

Since he had my phone number, I thought I would at least get a call letting me know he would be late or would come another day, but NO, I didn't even get that courtesy. 5 years ago, we had Romero build our backyard fence. He came to the house in a timely matter and had the fence built within the week. Fast forward to today-I never would have imagined the displeasure in his lack of service. We had scheduled him to come add a fence for the front yard as well as move the side fencing up a number of feet to the front of the house. Romero was to come out on the 10th but called my husband the night prior saying he had not yet heard from the city to come survey where he could dig for the posts. I fully believe if he had called them early enough, within 2 weeks, he should have heard from them-unless he called them last minute. My husband has since called him with no answer. It's such a shame because we were so happy with his service the first time around but after this experience we would never recommend him to anyone. I've been in customer service for years and even if a business is busy, people who provide good customer service keep in contact and follow through. Even if he had responded to my husbands calls or told us what we could do to expedite getting the city out here, we would have done it....guess we have to find someone else to build our fence :-/ read more

Nice View Fence was hired by a neighbor that shares a property line with me. We agreed to share the expense. Nice View Fence used my driveway to deliver materials and drove over my newly laid lawn. A weak attempt to repair the lawn left much to be desired and I spent two hours fixing it myself. Before work commenced I requested a gate be replaced that shared a common post with my neighbor. Before the work my gate had a 4x4 post as a sill for the gate. The opposite post was leaning and ideally it would have been removed and replaced with a straight post. Nice View Fence left the leaning post and moved the neighbors post behind the sill, then built the gate crooked to step down over the sill, and warped the door to make it flush with the leaning post. Needless to say the result was ugly. I requested correction of the poor work and Nice View Fence said they would fix if I spent another $2,000 to $3,000 to replace the rest of my fence.
