Both of them have flourished at Primrose. They have both made big circles of the best and kindest friends. Our kids come running out of class every afternoon full of excited stores about new things they learned, built, and thought about that day. This is a place where education is taken seriously, and a love of learning is inculcated. My son, a precocious preschooler, currently reads on a third grade-level. He devours books at home. It isn't just that he's a smart kid; the anonymized test results for his class show remarkably outsized improvement for all of his classmates from the beginning to the end of the year. My kids (and my wife and I) have loved every one of their teachers, all of whom have been positively stellar. The administration is proactive, always available, and communicative. Classroom and playground facilities are new, clean, and well-maintained. We frequently recommend Primrose School of Rockland to fellow parents.

They are dedicated, people who truly love and care about your children. Their curriculum is great, as someone who has seen the Massachusetts Core Curriculum Standards for first grade, you can easily see where even the basics for two year olds are setting them up to have a mastery of this information early. We've never had a problem with feeling as though there is an open line of communication. If for some reason they need to call, they try multiple phone lines. They always respond to e-mails as well. Our son recently underwent extremely serious surgery and was out for a few weeks. The staff took time out of their day to call, and ask how he was doing, specifically citing for their own concern, not for school reasons. When he was ready to go back, we sat down and came up a plan with the director & teacher and they were amazing, incorporating his potential physical deficits into the routine (things that would benefit the whole class such as calling out specifically working on their non-dominant hand) and coming up with a plan to have an extra teacher shadow him at recess to ensure his balance was normal but that he wasn't feeling like he was being singled out. Even when he started going back, teachers who hadn't had our son in years were coming up, taking time out of their day and talking to us, offering resources and experiences of their own if we needed them. I noticed one negative response (for another of the Jack & Jill centers), mentions fevers. We've gotten those calls too when he was younger, where the fever is gone by the time we get him to bring him to the dr's, but you have to remember it's for the well-being of all the children, it goes both ways. If they can avoid spreading something contagious from other children to my child, I am appreciative. On the flip side, I received a call from a teacher saying, I needed to call because he "just seemed off" siting a few unusual things from that morning that were out of the ordinary for him, which were actually the first symptoms leading to the above mentioned surgery. For that I will always be thankful.

Making the decision to send your child(ren) to daycare is hard…read more Being a first time parent, deciding to send your children to daycare in the middle of a global pandemic is HARD. From my first time in the center in February Latoya and Jessie were welcoming, kind, and reassuring. I was just returning to work following maternity leave and was not sure I was making the right decision for my daughters. They answered all of my questions and provided the direction I needed to feel confident in my choice. Fast forward four months to when my daughters were ready to start at the center. The team went above and beyond to make our family comfortable. Every day since our first day they continue to exceed our expectations with guidance, compassion, providing resources and acting as a sounding board. My daughters were born 6 weeks premature. It is common to adjust for prematurity when measuring children against developmental milestones. I am pleased to say that at our recent 15 month appointment our pediatrician found our daughters to be developing appropriately without adjustment. I attribute so much of that to the time they have spent with Latoya, Jessie and Latara at TLE. I am excited for my daughters to have new adventures in the Toddler Room and wanted to recognize this team for the superb work they have done during this challenging time.

My son struggles with some social emotional skills in especially new environments and as a first-time parent I am still learning and navigating my new life as a mother. However, I feel that Latoya could've done a better job as a director in immediately providing me with strategics and possible solutions on the situation rather than making me feel like a failure as a parent. Not even a hour after dropping of my son, I received a rushed call to pick my son up. When I got there, I had asked Latoya if I could speak to her privately about my son to which she stated he had to be present. I disagreed because it is inappropriate and unprofessional and yet she still protested against my request until she finally gave in. Once we were in a private room, her attitude and demeanor changed to a judgmental, insensitive and unprofessional woman. I felt belittled and disrespected on so many levels because I feel like if she had a calmer, collected, empathic and understanding first initial approach with me things wouldn't have escalated the way it did. She raised her voice on multiple occasions and even raised her finger to point at me which I found offensive. She falsely accused me of justifying my son's behavior without understanding that he may have mental health disorder that prevent him from expressing his words correctly to strangers he does not yet know well . She failed to comprehend that as a mother I am my sons biggest and only advocate and was trying to understand what was going on. My encounter with her has been the worse experience ever. I am quite shocked myself because everything was so good and smooth in the beginning. Overall, I feel like the situation could've been handled better by expressing empathy, patience and professionalism with a calm and collected tone of voice. In the end, you have to be sensitive and gentle with people because you don't really know what's going on in their lives and it's not okay to belittle others. I wish she would've provided alternative solutions and other options rather than guilt tripping me. When I emailed her stating I was leaving a negative review, she quickly stated she had all this information and informative resources that will better assist me on my situation. However, I've been waiting ever since, and she continues to neglect the matter. Luckily, I found a backup plan and have a strong support system and all the resources I need. The learning Experience definitely lacks well trained staff members and could benefit more with additional training and a stronger resourceful leader who isn't riding a high horse.

This is by far the BEST day care center for your money in the entirety of Eastern Massachusetts. I know this because I have looked in every town from Salem to Plymouth (and everywhere in between), and anywhere you look, the rates are outrageous, the staff's responsiveness is horrendous, and the flexibility / hours are absurd. What working mother is able to pick her child up by 4:30pm?! Anybody? I didn't think so. My daughter has been attending LDI for almost a year, and the experience has been absolutely above and beyond anything I ever expected. On top of the rates being completely reasonable, the Director, Jessica, always answers emails within 24 hours (usually less), the staff is fantastic about communicating with parents, they follow all regulations set forth by the government, the facility is very clean, the playgrounds (that's right, there are two) are HUGE and tidy, and the people who work for LDI seem to genuinely love their jobs. The level of education is also a huge plus - my daughter knew her entire alphabet by 20 months, which may not be "advanced" per se, but it's much better than I could've done on my own! If that wasn't enough for you, Summer programming includes a magic show for all the families, a farm visit, picnics, Bubble Man, Olympics, and several family events to increase parent involvement in the childrens' day care experience. One more thing - they listen. If you have a comment, complaint, or encouragement, it will be heard and implemented if possible (and reasonable). LOVE this day care. Don't ever want to leave. That is all.

Finding a suitable place with availability under normal circumstance would've been stressful enough, but throw in COVID on top of it, it was crazy hectic tense. However, from the moment we contacted GQCC and going in for visit, Paula made us feel at home. We appreciate Paula always being so readily available and answering all our question - promptly and friendly. Our three wonderful teachers are positive, welcoming, and informative. They happily greet us when we arrive and give us warm send off when we leave. We honestly feel our precious son is well taken care of at GQCC happily playing with his friends and learning, giving us huge sense of relief, and allowing us to focus on work. I am satisfied with my son's development and socialization. Tuition is transparent, with no hidden fees, and includes a full meal plan and three additional enrichment activities. Although our child can be a picky eater at home, he has become much more willing to try new foods at daycare. GQCC also offers a large playground and is conveniently located near a highway exit. Our child receives Early Intervention services, and the staff have been exceptional in collaborating with EI providers and expanding strategies to support regulation and sensory development. Teachers are always accessible for check-ins, and we regularly receive photos and updates about daily activities. GQCC is a wonderful center with caring, attentive, and professional staff.
