The staff are very friendly and unfortunately for me not having an appointment, was only able to enjoy a 45 minute with Bruce for a much needed foot massage. The room was nice, clean and spacious. Was offered different beverages to cool off and hydrate with. The pressure used was just right and always asking if everything was a-ok, which it was. Since we booked the last time slot for a couples massage of the evening, we were not able to use the sauna or steam room afterward and our services felt extremely rushed by every single person we interacted with there. I noticed that the snacks and some additional amenities were put away about 90 minutes before they even closed. We only booked the last massage of the evening because that was just what was available and I don't recommend going at this time. They offer an option to visit the sauna/steam room the following morning for the first few hours of the day if you're the last appointment the night before, but they only tell you this when you get there. This was not helpful for me because I had something to do early the next day. I also took the time to fill out a form for my massage therapist and she never looked at it, she just told me to hand it to the cashier when I left. The masseuse did not ask me if I enjoyed the pressure of the massage nor asked for any feedback. It was more like a fancy rub down for around 45 minutes in a warm bed. The cost was too high for a rushed 45 minutes and marketed as a 60 minute luxurious experience. The woman who massaged my husband spoke to him more than my therapist did, and so he was happier with his massage. Both therapists seemed mentally checked out for the day as they started our massage late and were just going through the motions with their job/lacked going any extra mile whatsoever. We were getting married the next day lol. I guess that's what you get for including automatic gratuity on the couples massage. The room atmosphere was very nice for the couples massage, they included towels and sandals, but as a whole this was very disappointing and overpriced. Will not be going back!

I totally agree with previous reviewer that there is no "wow factor" here - see my photo of the very basic massage room... but I also think the prices reflect that. I've paid a lot more than this Aveda Spa's $130 for very mediocre massages in quebec. Service is great and I love the products used! I always have to buy a couple things in their shop... and tbh, I've stopped bringing toiletries with me when staying at this Doubletree - I just buy some travel-size Aveda from here... and yes, I need to find an Aveda spa closer to home... but I'll be back to this one too!

My experience here was mediocre, at best. We found this spa after contacting many others in the…read morearea. We had a few requirements for our reservation. We wanted to have two female masseuses, a couple's suite wherein we could both receive our treatments together in the same room, and we wouldn't have to sell a kidney to afford it. My husband and I have had many massages over the years ranging from very high-end luxury experiences to very sketchy and scary ones. This was definitely a safe and professional experience, but there was no wow factor. We called the day before and were able to book a couple's massage in the same room with two female massage therapists. Upon our arrival, we were greeted and taken to a relaxation room. Shortly thereafter, we were taken to a small changing room with lockers. The floor in this room was disgusting. There were a ton of long strands of hair all over the floor as well as dust and dirt gathering in the corners and along the edges of the walls. I stood on my shoes until I was able to put on the slippers that they provided. The robes have seen better days as well. I get that they reuse them and wash them and that causes wear and tear, but at some point, you just have to let them go and replace them. We were told to go back to the relaxation room once we were changed and that became awkward after they seated some other patrons in that room with us, fully dressed. I think there should be two separate areas. One area for those who have undressed and are only in robes, and another area for people who are receiving treatments for which you do not need to disrobe, such as a manicure. My husband and I both felt a bit awkward. Sending us directly to the massage suite would've been better. The woman who gave me my massage asked about areas that I would like to have her focus on, and about the amount of pressure that I preferred and then threw that information right out of the window. I asked twice for the pressure to be adjusted, just for it to remain the same. None of my problem areas were focused on. The whole interaction felt like a waste of time. The woman who checked us in was pleasant and you do get access to the hotel's pool and sauna area with your treatment, but we were leaving town that day and didn't have time to take advantage of those amenities. The pool looked nice and was surprisingly empty in comparison to the pool at our hotel, which was always busy. I would also like to mention that there was a strange amount of security in this hotel lobby. It made me wonder if there was some sort of famous guest staying there, but then I remembered that it was the Doubletree! I still don't understand why there was so much security on staff.

The place is located on the bottom floor of a commercial space. There are three massage rooms available, two which look to just house one bed each and then one which was able to accommodate two beds for a couple's massage. The whole place was appointed very tastefully, with little touches to enhance relaxation. We filled out a form asking about any particular problems or areas of focus, and we were able to talk about our goals for the experience with the therapists before they started. After we were undressed and on the table, the therapists turned down the lights and there was some calming music played. Our massages were extremely professional and relaxing. I know that I prefer a lighter massage, and Katie was great at making sure that I wasn't experiencing any pain but was still getting the circulation and muscle manipulation benefits. My fiance prefers a deeper massage, and his therapist was able to get some knots out of his neck that have been tense for awhile. The therapists definitely took their time, and we felt like we got our full 60 minutes worth. We left feeling very pampered, and will definitely return in the future!

We both had our inferred session same day together Monday afternoon. He had his facial same day Monday-he said he really enjoyed it. He face was very dewy and moisturized . Pleasant experience. My spa session on Tuesday was good; I'm am so glad i booked early morning bc I had the place to myself for almost two hours. Remember I said petite.Yes it a cute space to relax if you have an hour or so. Tried the Himalayan salt sauna larger pool; open shower, dry sauna and hottest whirlpool(it was mild). The cold plunge whirlpool was good. I enjoyed my time. They have three whirlpools outside fits 4 comfortably maybe 5 strangers. I had them to myself so it was wonderful. Overall it was a great experience for me. They seem to offer full spa services from what I saw as I walked around. The spa gets a 4 star due to amenities cleanliness and offerings. Although small the space was utilized well. I am very big on customer service and the Tuesday staff was clearly not morning people; thus the reason for the overall 3 stars. If you're in the hotel area yes visit during off peak times to have the best experience it gets crowded quickly due to small size.

The indoor hot tub and salt sauna were both quite spacious, and while the three outside pools were much smaller, they were great for working through the circuit of varying temperatures. There's also a dry sauna you access from that area. You get unlimited use of the facility for three hours, which is quite a good deal. We are big fans of nordic contrast circuits and have visited plenty of similar spas in various cities and countries. For the price, this one covers all the bases very well with few frills, and that's okay with us. The service was good, and the employees friendly, even if they did seem a bit overworked at times. This location isn't as luxurious in its other amenities as some other options in nearby Niagara-On-The-Lake, so if you're after a full pampering experience, you might look into one of those, but the much lower cost here made it a worthwhile trade-off for us. Plus the location is convenient to a lot of other sites and restaurants, and free parking is included. All in all, good facilities, good people, good price point. We will be back again for sure!
