It blends a traditional Italian deli style with a modern downtown vibe and is known for fresh panini made with quality meats and ingredients, many imported from Italy. The combination of fresh bread, curated deli meats, and flavorful sauces gives each sandwich a really nice touch. Besides sandwiches, they also carry Italian-style groceries like pasta, cheeses, desserts, and drinks, which makes the visit feel like a quick trip to a small Italian market. They have a variety of panini style sandwiches with a fridge/freezer of imported items such as frozen meals, meats, dried and spreads, sauces, cake slices and gelato! All the sandwiches sound delicious! Hard to choose! I went with the Alla Romana $16 (Prosciutto from Abruzzo Italy, Semi-dried cherry tomatoes, Balsamic glaze, Fior di Latte). The bread was crusty & warm - all quality ingredients!! The prosciutto & other topping were plentiful. Great flavours. Fresh! You can tell it was made with care. I was surprised at how big the sandwich was. It was cut in two & placed in a take away container which travelled well. The sandwich was still intact and perfect when I got home. The bread has a good crust but was soft inside to be a good compliment for the filling! I did get a piece of tiramisu & a small single serve cup of gelato from the fridge/freezer to be tried later!! I am a big fan of sandwiches with quality great & quality filling and this checks off the boxes. Staff was friendly and the sandwich is a good value given the top quality ingredients. Cash was very nice and patient with me when I was ordering since it was my first time and I had no clue what to get. The options I got were great though for a first timer: 4 Seasons 4/5 - Thought this was a great first sandwich here since it had all the different types of cold cuts in one including ham, turkey, salami, and mortadella. Delicious, packed and well wrapped. Chef's Choice 4/5 - Came with grilled chicken strips, avocado, tomato, hot pepper, fresh onion, olives, crispy onion, pesto sauce and grandma's homemade hot sauce. This was good and warm but definitely preferred the 4 seasons more. I thought the bread was a tad tough when eating it. It might be because I got it as takeout and ate it within the hour rather than right away. But it was still a pretty solid sandwich overall.

I also noticed they have a patio with umbrellas, making it an ideal spot to enjoy on a breezy summer day without worrying about the sun. I originally came intending to order the Chicken Caesar Salad Wrap ($15.99), but after spotting a table advertisement for their new Pizza Caesar Salad Wrap, I couldn't resist trying the pepperoni version ($16.99). My sister ended up ordering the Chicken Caesar Salad Wrap instead, so we got to sample both. They also offer cookies, croissants, coffee, and matcha, along with 16- and 20-ounce iced drinks that are reasonably priced. I'm definitely intrigued to come back and try one. Even better, they've recently started serving breakfast, giving me even more reasons to return. The portions were generous and satisfying, and both wraps were packed with flavor. They struck the perfect balance of textures; crisp, creamy, and incredibly fresh. Honestly, no notes. They were perfection. I'd happily order them again, though I'm equally tempted to work my way through the rest of the menu. To top it all off, the staff were warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, making for an all-around excellent experience.

The interior is a cute deli shop, there are no seats inside but also plenty of other shelf items to purchase in addition to deli sandwiches. Opened in Feb 2025, the sandwich shop is set to expand opening a second location near Dundas and Ossington sometime this year. They are open daily from 11am to 5pm where you can pre-order off Ambassador for pick up or opt for delivery with Ubereats. When Ariete E Toro first opened last year, I recall seeing the long lines as it became super popular. Fast forward to a year later, I finally tried Ariete E Toro recently. The storefront is on a side street off of Yonge St. where it is take out only. They do have a bench near the window/entrance of the store but usually it's utilized by people waiting for their sandwiches. In the summer though, they have a small patio in front of the shop with some tables and chairs. Menu wise, Ariete E Toro has a variety of sandwiches with ingredients that work well together. You are also able to build your own sandwich if you'd like. They also have beverages like soda and water as well. The store boasts that all their ingredients are high quality. An average price of a sandwich is around $17. I decided to pre-order 2 sandwiches for pick up. These are the two sandwiches I got: - Enzo (mortadella di bologna, pistachio pesto, stracciatella cheese, chopped pistachio, lemon and basil oil). - Rogo Rogo (prosciutto cotto, 'nduja cream, smoked provolone, caramelized onion, arugula, and brown butter vinaigrette) Entering the store to pick up my order, staff were amidst completing my sandwiches. There was already a regular there chatting with staff. Service was quick. My sandwiches were packed and I had half of each at home. The size of the sandwich was pretty big! I could only finish 3/4th of the sandwich. Both the Enzo and the Rogo Rogo were tasty but the Enzo stole the show. The moist bread with the mortadella where the pistachio pesto and hint of stracciatella cheese along with a slight crunch from the chopped pistachio made for a perfect sandwich (I do prefer the bread a bit harder and crunchier though but the texture of this one was still good). I was sharing the sandwiches with my partner and as he opened the packaging he noticed a piece of hair in the sandwich. I would have given a higher rating on Yelp but finding someone else's hair in your food is off-putting. I do hope that if I return next time (either to this location or to their new location near Ossington/Dundas) that we won't find any surprises in our food. Overall, delicious sandwiches in Midtown Toronto, however, we did find a piece of hair in our sandwiches which.... kind of makes me hesitant to return. **Update** - I wrote a review on Google where the owner personally asked me to email them to rectify the situation with the piece of hair found in my sandwich. The owner apologized and stated that he was actually the one who personally made my sandwich that day (sliced the deli meat, etc.). He also made sure that he would speak with the bread manufacturer to make sure that they were aware of the situation as it may have come from the bread as well. He also gave me a refund for one sandwich as well as a $25 credit for if I wanted to give the sandwich spot another chance (the sandwich is too good to not go back!). That is what I call great customer service - making sure that an apology was given and that customers are happy. Would happily return again for their tasty sandwiches!!

As for Il Re, the combination of 3 cold cuts, Provolone Crema, roasted garlic and olive salad had created a perfect taste. Definitely worth every calorie. Lol

Hearty portions of: - double peameal bacon patties - fried egg - melted cheddar - maple aioli - kale - tomato (not for me) All on a soft pain-au-lait bun. What a first bite! Juicy peameal, maple aioli flavour, perfectly fried medium soft egg were the highlights. Beef Patty - fresh not frozen and homemade. Had the mild one and probably could have done spicy instead... it is VERY mild. Nice mix of beef, oxtail and other ingredients in a nicely baked outer crust - not too dry or thick. Service (4.75/5) - can tell this is a family/private owned business... take pride in their stuff, friendly and polite. It isn't going to be ready in 5 minutes... building from scratch takes some time but well worth it! Atmosphere (4.25/5) - it's got this retro NYC deli feel to it with the artifacts, signs and hardware. The only croissant on display was a plain one but the staff let me know they can also do Nutella croissants, savory ones with egg, or one filled with strawberries. My payment was taking on a Clover terminal. The barista let me know it would be about 5 minutes for my order so I spent some time exploring the space. The staff member that helped me was super nice. I was given a little container with 2 Oreos in it - I think for dunking in my latte! A really awesome idea. The latte had very bold Nutella flavour and I would say that it was more Nutella than latte which is not a bad thing if you're a fan! It seemed more reminiscent of a hot chocolate than a latte and was a real treat. The croissant was buttery and flaky and was nicely packaged with a sticker sealing the paper bag so I didn't have to worry about crumbs escaping. They have more than just pastries. They also serve sandwiches and soups so you can fill up for lunch here as well.
