The gear for sale and for rent is really convenient, and the online waiver process is a snap. The only thing holding the stars back to 5 is that a couple of the staff have been pretty grumpy when the gym is busy. Most of the staff have been great, but it would be nice for all staff to make guests feel welcomed joyfully.

Then the cherry on top, of a mountain of cream, is that the trainers/leaders are eager to encourage excitement in first time climbers. That is what separates this location from others, the kindness and willingness to teach others to be a good belay. It's clear that they want to spread the excitement over such a transformative hobby. It was so affective, I married the last person I took there on our first official date. It was a Covid wedding in 2021, but that only added to the excitement of climbing this mountain, we call marriage. Thank you for this location and its people.

We…read morediscovered this place years ago accidentally, but didn't have a chance to visit and I'm glad we did this time. I will say I do have a fear of heights. When I first saw this park, I thought it was easier than it actually is. You sign up for a 3 hour session that includes safety briefing and practice time on some very beginner elements. Since there were 2 of us, we got put with a larger group. I was very apprehensive about this at first, because I thought that would mean we had to now all stick together. It wasn't the case though, as we were able to choose different routes. Sometimes we did end up together, which turned out great because we all were able to encourage each other through the course. I enjoyed the safety briefing and practice time. It took me a while to figure out how to attach the click-its to the cables and move them around. The staff was great at making sure our harnesses were working properly and what to do if you get stuck. We tried a green level course first. This was the most mentally challenging for me because some of the elements are floating and it can be tricky navigating your safety line and the other pieces. My fear of heights started becoming an issue on this course. You often forget you're securely strapped to the cables while you're trying to use your entire body to move about. You're allowed to move through at your own pace though, and the staff was super helpful in giving tips to get past some difficult areas. I didn't feel like I was holding up other people because we all were facing some fears! We tried a blue course next that was called River Run. The staff described it as mostly zip lines, with a few challenging areas. With their advice, I was able to conquer them before the first zip line. I enjoyed the zip lines a lot, but had trouble sticking the landing and would get stuck in the middle. On this particular one, I hit the mat so hard and was sent back to the middle. I tried to monkey my way back across, but was too tired to finish. My husband yelled for staff to help, and it felt like hours on the line but was only about 5 minutes. I had a panic attack and decided I wanted to be done, there were more zip lines and I didn't think I would be able to get across if I got stuck again. The staff member that rescued me did a great job assisting me down from the course. If you're looking to conquer some serious fears and challenge your entire body, give this park a go. It was beautiful to be out in nature in a whole new way.

The kids had a blast & the staff explained everything very well for them to understand. It would be nice to have an emergency spot in the course to discontinue if it's beyond your ability. A kid in my group leveled up and once we was half way though a blue course he mentally couldn't go any further. He had to complete it to get down.

They have shoe and chalk rental options( but we brought our own. The staff was friendly and gave us a safety debrief and rundown of the space. It's designed super uniquely and has the various walls setup almost in a giant circle and an upstairs section. Their grading scale is based on a range (example: Pink is V0-V2, then blue is V3-V4 - I don't know if that's exactly what they had, but you get the idea), They had some fun route setting, but nothing that super stood out, and a lot of it felt similar. It's a growing community in GR though, so definitely seems like a great addition and very welcomed for local climbers. The space was bright, clean and they offered a hand washing sink along with ample cubbies for storage along every section. I definitely look forward to returning in the future and had fun checking it out.
