As for the winter, they offer tubing and other winter activities on a large hill on property.  They also sell warm beverages during this time to warm up between activities.  Five Pines is simply a great outdoor place with numberous fun things to do.  Let the adventuring begin! Even Reba McEntire used it as a symbol of overcoming great odds. In 2020, I sought to make this destination I frequented regularly. This was early in the year, before everything shut down and mountains were too dangerous again. However, I'll always have the good times forged climbing multicolored stones. This has been a place of enlightenment, of humbling, and a rebirth of capabilities. This enormous location, is an endless playground. There are all the challenges that excite nearly every kind of climber. Nearly any age can participate. Then the cherry on top, of a mountain of cream, is that the trainers/leaders are eager to encourage excitement in first time climbers. That is what separates this location from others, the kindness and willingness to teach others to be a good belay. It's clear that they want to spread the excitement over such a transformative hobby. It was so affective, I married the last person I took there on our first official date. It was a Covid wedding in 2021, but that only added to the excitement of climbing this mountain, we call marriage. Thank you for this location and its people.

I was not informed that there was only a 5-minute window for this appointment, and I would have made more of an effort to be on time had I known. I mentioned this to Jordan over email, and received a very nasty response: "For your future information, be on time for your scheduled appointments. I had a slot to squeeze you in today between my 6 appointments that were scheduled as far as two weeks in advance, and you missed it. My time is very valuable and when people are late to appointments without any notification is very inconsiderate and rude." This was FIVE minutes. I was never told he had to leave by 10:05. Sure Jordan's time might be "very valuable," but so is mine and I wasted 40 mins driving to EQ and back this morning. I come to the area every summer, and had an excellent experience with Katie last year, but EQ just lost a loyal customer. I can't believe he'd treat a customer this way.

We signed up for a bootcamp/HIIT class one morning and enjoyed the experience so much we dragged my sister and husband to join us the following morning. Both of the classes we attended had us moving around the room to various stations. A white board helped me remember which exercise was coming next. Class sizes are capped small, ensuring individual attention for everyone who signs up. A lot of gyms claim to be accessible to all, but Equilibrium holds true to that. Lots of options and modifications were offered and the teachers did a great job walking around the room to make sure everyone was able to set the machines and challenge to the level right for them. The space was clean and most the machinery was very new. I enjoyed running on the treadmill with an option to set the screen to a visual of running in various locations (in the mountains of New Zealand, etc). I highly recommend this cute spot with a local feel, well-maintained equipment, and an enjoyable atmosphere.

The main advantage here is that the employees (not salesman). Have actually used the equipment that you are looking at. The younger ones do not try to push it out the door (make a sale). Have you ever noticed that if you watch a T.V. show? That some piece of equipment you saw will suddenly show up in all the stores? It is always made in China? When you take I camping isn't that always the time it seams to well not perform as well as it looked like it should? This is the main advantage of this store. Knowing what to use, and not carry twice as much as needed. This was the part that bankrupted one of there competitors. Roots sporting goods, they tried to carry everything, the staff was overrun and id not know what they are doing. Even I could tell. Earth Adventures only does a few things; one of their newest classes that is offered is an emergency preparedness class. This is better than what the Red Cross-offers. Can you pick up one bag, and walk out the front door, for three days? Then have a second bag for seven days? I could just get in my van and drive off.
