Update to our review of May 4, 2024…read more All the good things I had to say after Greg had his guys redo the poor first attempt at resurfacing our driveway last year went right out the window this morning. I first attempted to contact Greg via email to schedule the agreed upon annual inspection on June 4, 2025. After hearing nothing for a couple of weeks, he finally responded with a proposal on July 13th which detailed the work to be done at a cost to us of $500. We accepted the proposal that same day. Greg cautioned that he would schedule our work along with other jobs he had in the area, so there could be a wait - which was no problem for us. After hearing nothing for several weeks however, I asked for an update on August 25. He responded on August 28th that he currently had no projects scheduled for the "Deltona or Daytona" areas but would advise when he did. On October 7 he asked if "the next 4-6 weeks" would work for us, to which I immediately said yes, and requested a couple of days advance notice so I could power wash the driveway. Then nothing again for 8 weeks, so I asked again via email on December 7 for an update. Nothing again, so I called and talked directly to Greg on December 17. He was obviously surprised and less than happy to hear from me and arranged to come over on Monday morning 12/22 @ 9:00am to discuss the matter further. He arrived at 8:11 and apparently agitated about something. He then proceeded to tell me immediately that he wanted nothing more to do with us - that we were far out of his normal operational territory and that he simply couldn't afford to support us any further. After some back and forth in which I was trying to figure out just exactly what "maintenance" would be required to keep the driveway looking good, he decided to terminate the meeting by addressing me as "Look Dude, this is going nowhere . . . . . . ." - to which I reminded him I was not "Dude" to him, but instead "Mr. Customer." At this, he departed. I guess he might have thought a bit more about our meeting after leaving because I received a text from him at 9:15am directing me to contact him sometime after the new year, around 1/15/2026 - and not by email (verifiable paper trail?). And for what purpose should I contact Him? To get strung along for another six months? For some more surly treatment? No thanks. Bottom line - these guys are capable of delivering some incredibly nice work; but are equally capable of delivering some incredibly shabby customer service.

I provided a few pictures with details of what I wanted and the next day, I got a very reasonable quote to do the work. It took me a couple of days to review some other quotes and scope of work before I got back to Antonio. After I let him know he could do the work he gave me a starting date the next week. He came on time and he and two of his crew, excavated compacted, and set the forms for the concrete Poor. Because of the location of the pad, it was not possible to bring a cement mixer in, and the crew had to do it by hand. Nevertheless, they completed the work within eight hours and provided instructions to cover it when the rains came this afternoon, which they are coming. Frederick, the back office guy, and Antonio were equally professional and kept their word to do just what I asked for. I would highly recommend Antonio Barrows to do cement work for anyone. When you speak to them whenever that is they assure you that everything will be handled. I wouldn't advise to use them. They are doing too many jobs at once so smaller jobs get the least amount of attention and professionalism.

Before any materials were ordered or work began, we submitted the required application to our HOA for approval. Unfortunately, the HOA denied the request and would only approve a black metal fence. As soon as I received the denial, I contacted Fence Mall and explained the situation. Since I specifically wanted a vinyl fence, I decided not to move forward with the project and requested my deposit back. They agreed to refund it, but told me they would keep 35% of my deposit as a cancellation fee. $600 To my knowledge, no materials had been ordered and no installation work had started because everyone was waiting for the HOA's decision. Despite that, they kept approximately $600 from my deposit. I understand that businesses need cancellation policies, but charging such a large fee before any materials were purchased or work was performed is unfair. I was unable to proceed due to circumstances outside of my control, and I don't believe keeping hundreds of dollars in this situation is reasonable. Specially with todays economy I hope Fence Mall reconsiders how it handles situations like this, because it left me feeling like I paid $600 for absolutely nothing. I asked the owner/manager--the person I paid--to return and clean up the excessive cement pieces left scattered throughout the yard, as well as to remove their company sign. They never came back. One of the slabs was poorly finished, with significant overpour and uncleaned edges (see attached images). I repeatedly requested that they correct the work, but was told this is "common." In addition to the subpar finish, they left multiple water bottles tossed around the yard, further evidence of a lack of professionalism. Photos show the poorly done slab and the cement debris I had to collect myself. You can decide if this is the type of service you want to pay for. As it stands, I will likely need to request reimbursement to have the slab properly corrected
