Mario was the consummate professional. He showed up on time and the van was easy to step into for our older dog Ned. Our handsome boy cooperated because he could sense Mario was kind. There was no issue getting him to stay in the van. Mario was courteous and was able to groom Ned in an expeditious and thorough manner. After Ned was done he looked and smelled amazing. My friend went out of town and left me with the charge of getting a mobile groomer to come out and clean the girls. She has two labs, Sophie and Bella, and they needed a serious grooming. I checked with Next Tail because of the reviews duh and Rainer came out the following day to groom the girls. The van is clean, nice and kept cool. Rainer is amazing as he immediately got the dogs to like him ( our old man Jackson included). He took both girls and I busied myself with other things as I trusted he had it handled. He did. Sadly this used to be a wonderful service. But for some reason they have decided to adopt a policy of leaving after 15 minutes and charging full fair. I guess they dont understand that sometimes "life is happens while you're making other plans ". If I book a service for a hour and pay for an hour , then you should provide service for that hour. If I only have 45 min - you do 45 minutes of service. 30 min etc. I'd recommend looking elsewhere - too bad. read more

I found Next Tail Grooming through Yelp and was able to book an appointment relatively quickly. Rainer was my groomer and he was amazing! My dog Tofu is incredibly anxious and nervous around men and Rainer always does his best to ensure that my pup is as comfortable as possible, even taking requests like coming out of the van before we walk over as the door opening sets mr dog off. I was SUPER hesitant to get him groomed and brought him to Mario in a muzzle. Mario did amazing and was able to give him a full bath, cut, nail trim, ear cleaning and anal gland cleaning without using the muzzle. This was a great experience. I used to take my dog to a specialty groomer in Manhattan Beach. It took half a day by the time I drove him back and forth, left him for the grooming, etc. With Next Tail, Joey didn't have to leave the safe confines of his home, and wow, was it ever fast. Rainier did a really good job, and was very patient, even though Joey was quite aggressive with him. It takes Joey time to get used to new people. But the end result was a very fragrant, well-groomed dog. I can always tell how the experience went by Joey's mood afterwards. He came out smiling and hopping and glad to be at home, though he did still try to nip the groomer. Glad I have found this company.
