This place is not like it used to be since they changed owners. I'm very disappointed with how I've been treated. I'm just very appalled that the owner treats his customers this way. The owner wouldn't let me rebook my time since I was unable to cancel within the 48 hour period. I was willing to rebook for any day, but he wouldn't budge. So I was charged 84 dollars and didn't recieve any service. I was going there every week for the past month, and tried to rebook any day for next week. He refused... He talked down to me, belittled me over the phone and took 84 dollars for no service. He was inflexible and lost my business permanently. I've been coming here consistently for many years, this happens to be the first time i had to cancel. I was willing to reschedule any day within the week, but he was unwilling to work with me. I have nothing but nice things to say about Mike, the owner and this amazing studio!!! I have been rehearsing at Next Phase with my jazz group for about 5 months. Each week he greets us and sets up the mics and sound in of his 4 studios. The place is fantastic. The sound doesn't leak out from one studio to the next. It is a great vibe as many musicians in Long Island rehearse here. The studios are well equipped with stools, mics, drum sets, keyboard stands, amps and a digital equalizer for the vocals. There have been times when I have forgotten a chord or power supply and Mike has gone out of his way to help me and literally "save the day"! I have to say the place is perfect for our needs and many of the working musical stage groups of Long Island. Congrats to Mike and his professional staff for a well run operation!! read more

"Next Phase Sound Studios" is very good rehearsal space. The equipment is in good shape. The staff is VERY pleasant, professional and supportive in getting you set up quickly and they have many alternative components from which you can chose (i.e. stands, amp heads, etc...). Sound isolation from room to room is also very good. Maybe this studio was called "Phase 1 Sound Studios" previously??? By far the best studio around. Clean rooms, quality equipment, friendly knowlegable staff...wouldnt go anywhere else....

Mike, the owner, is very helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean. The PA, drums and bass amps all work well. There were minor problems with the guitar amps (as is the norm) but Mike or his assistant fixed them promptly. There are many amp heads to choose from. After you play for a while Mike comes in to make sure that everything is going well. They sell cold bottled water for just a $1. The bathroom is clean. The parking lot is ample. I've been at several studios over the years....this is by far the best. We used the larger room and it was big enough to hold a mini high school reunion (although they don't endorse that) A little more expensive however well worth it. Why? The sound is right. There is room to move...especially if you have a larger band. (mine has 8 guys) The owner knows what he's doing in terms of getting the sound right. If someone is too loud, he's not afraid to say it. The equipment is quality as well. As a singer, I typically bring my own mic however it was unnecessary this go round. I can't vouch for the smaller rooms only due to lack of experience with them. read more

I went to check it out and found out that this is the place I was looking for many years. So glad to find out one in my back yard. Just curious to know how come places like this don't have many many followers. I'm free only on Wednesday and Thursday. Wish they have better rates. I used to go to Manhattan but now I don't have to spend 2 hours on commute. Staff is friendlier and gps gets you there right away. read more
