No race to each belt level and no bilking you for extraneous belt levels either! Kwon's is open 7 days a week and offers Tae Kwon Do, Kickboxing and Jiu Jitsu. On another occassion before we signed up, we wanted to check out the establishment. We just showed up unannounced and he happened to be closed. I called his cell phone # and he told me he would be there in 5 minutes which he was. Now more importantly, after we signed up. My kids love going to Tae Kwon Do and Master Walsh is amazing with these kids. He does an incredible job of not only teaching TKD but life lessons throughout each training session. He is the real deal and is a 6th degree black belt. Anyone who asks me where to send there kid for any of the above, easily gets the answer Dragon Law TKD. The instructors take the time to explain things, allow you to work at your own pace when you are just getting started, and teach you how to work towards your goals. The program helps teach discipline and build confidence, while still having fun. The best part of the program (besides the instructors) is that the system is designed to allow you to achieve based on the work you put in, and still set the goals to be within reach. For beginners this is an important aspect -- they aren't just giving away belts like candy, instead you are seeing the tasks you must perform, skills you must learn -- and they are all attainable through the program. I have been a member since July! One of the best perks about boxing at TITLE is that you get to try your first class for free. As someone who really does like to try before I buy, I was able to see if I wanted to make a time and monetary commitment to boxing by going to the gym, getting a tour of the facilities, and working with one of their trainers. I definitely recommend going to Tracy's 9:30am on Sunday for anyone who was like me and had never boxed before. Yes, it's early, but you will walk away feeling amazing about yourself! So, as someone who has tried many different workouts (HITT, BBG, Insanity), I was on the search for a new full-body workout that didn't have me slogging away on a treadmill or lifting weights on repeat. I was initially worried that I would be bad at boxing or that everyone would see that I wasn't able to keep up, but this gym has an amazing atmosphere and everyone is supportive no matter what level you're starting at. I started out as a complete beginner with no idea how to even throw a punch. I HIGHLY recommend giving it a try if you're even thinking about joining.
