My brother is a member and it is a convenient location to where he lives being less than a mile away. He appreciates the 24 hours access and says he often has the entire gym all to himself (he goes late at night). He said the membership is $30/month which I personally think is a little on the higher side when you have a gym that is not staffed 24 hours a day like some of their bigger competitors. Still, the value can be justified when it comes to convenience for a workout. My mid-score review comes with their membership options. There was only a one year and two year option available. I belong to another gym in Philadelphia where I will be moving back to in a few months (a new gym within a mile of where my new place will be). Still, I wanted to 1) Find a place in the interim before I moved back that I could get a good workout 2) I wanted to support a local business. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone regarding my options was very polite and professional. Unfortunately polite and professional does not convert to a month to month membership being available. In a time when people are a little tight with money I see it foolish turning away any business. I mean...it is Gilbertsville, PA in a small shopping center---business certainly isn't booming. I wish I could give you a "behind the door" review of the gym itself but I also think it is fair to leave a review based upon any interaction/experience I've had with the company. Lastly, in all fairness I did email the manager my concern just the other day so being it is the holiday she may get back to me with a resolution to the matter. In the event that happens, I will update this post. ***Update (as promised): I give Kelly (the manager) props for reaching out to me today. For that reason and the fact she took the time to find a "compromise" or a resolution to help me, I boosted there rating to 4 starts instead of 3. My reviews are very heavily weighted by how staff treats customers. Also, I actually visited the site (only walked in the front door) but could tell the facility was nicely put together and presented well. Long story short, she reached out to the owners of the company and they offered me a three month membership for $50/month. I am contemplating what I am going to do but think I am going to deny the offer simply because it is kind of a ridiculously high price. Not one of them come anywhere close to Final Results in terms of its trainers and staff or facilities. The trainers are down-to-earth, friendly, and really know how to properly train people to reach whichever goals they have in mind. By far, the most experience I have had is with owner John Wood. I could literally go on ad nauseam about John extraordinary character and talents. He remains today one of my favorite persons on the planet. His insights have been invaluable for me. The equipment they have is state-of-the-art and so well maintained you could eat your dinner off of it. (For some friends I know, this may even be an upgrade to their eating habits.) The membership is amazingly affordable considering what they have to offer members. Many of the members will drive a 50+ mile trip (one way) to go here. I did it for some time when I was still living in Center City Philadelphia. If that does not stand as testament to the quality of Final Results, I don't know what does.

Adults take classes at Kwon's as well, and there are mixed age group classes and separate adult classes as well. The focus and emphasis at Kwon's is personal growth and achievement. No race to each belt level and no bilking you for extraneous belt levels either! Kwon's is open 7 days a week and offers Tae Kwon Do, Kickboxing and Jiu Jitsu. Nearly one year ago, I was explicitly informed by the former General Manager (Cam) and an employee known as "Bunny" that I would be issued a refund for three out of five personal training sessions I purchased. This refund was promised due to the club's failure to notify or communicate with me when my assigned personal trainer was terminated. Despite this clear agreement, no refund was ever issued. Over the past year, I have made repeated attempts to resolve this issue and have been consistently ignored, redirected, or avoided by staff and management. Most recently, the current General Manager claimed there was "no documentation" of the original refund agreement. I requested escalation to the Regional Manager at that time. It has now been two weeks with no follow-up or communication, further demonstrating a systemic lack of professionalism and accountability. Rather than resolving the matter, the newer General Manager Paulie attempted to persuade me to "donate" my unused training sessions back to the company so other members could use them. This suggestion was inappropriate, unethical, and unacceptable, particularly given that these were paid services and the refund obligation remains outstanding. This proposal appeared designed to benefit internal staffing issues rather than honor commitments made to a paying member. To further compound this issue, I canceled my membership today and was forced to pay an additional $31.99 for another month before my cancellation could be processed. This resulted in yet another charge that I should not have been required to pay and adds to the growing amount of money being wrongfully retained by this company. This experience has significantly increased my frustration and reinforces a clear pattern of poor billing practices and disregard for member concerns. Beyond these financial issues, the overall operation of this location is deeply concerning. The facility is frequently dirty, poorly maintained, and contains machines that are regularly broken or out of service. Employees routinely congregate, socialize, and remain on their phones instead of maintaining the gym or assisting members. Groups of individuals -- sometimes including staff -- occupy workout machines without using them, preventing other members from accessing equipment. Additionally, I personally overheard multiple personal trainers openly complaining about their compensation and dissatisfaction with pay inside the locker room, in front of members. This behavior is highly unprofessional and reflects poor leadership and a lack of workplace standards. This location demonstrates a clear and ongoing pattern of: - Failure to honor financial commitments - Improper and questionable billing practices - Lack of documentation and accountability - Ignoring escalation requests - Unprofessional staff conduct - Inadequate facility maintenance I am requesting immediate corporate review and resolution, including reimbursement of all wrongfully charged amounts, confirmation that my membership has been fully canceled without further charges, and an investigation into the management practices at this location. This situation has gone unresolved for far too long and should never require this level of escalation.
