My brother is a member and it is a convenient location to where he lives being less than a mile away. He appreciates the 24 hours access and says he often has the entire gym all to himself (he goes late at night). He said the membership is $30/month which I personally think is a little on the higher side when you have a gym that is not staffed 24 hours a day like some of their bigger competitors. Still, the value can be justified when it comes to convenience for a workout. My mid-score review comes with their membership options. There was only a one year and two year option available. I belong to another gym in Philadelphia where I will be moving back to in a few months (a new gym within a mile of where my new place will be). Still, I wanted to 1) Find a place in the interim before I moved back that I could get a good workout 2) I wanted to support a local business. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone regarding my options was very polite and professional. Unfortunately polite and professional does not convert to a month to month membership being available. In a time when people are a little tight with money I see it foolish turning away any business. I mean...it is Gilbertsville, PA in a small shopping center---business certainly isn't booming. I wish I could give you a "behind the door" review of the gym itself but I also think it is fair to leave a review based upon any interaction/experience I've had with the company. Lastly, in all fairness I did email the manager my concern just the other day so being it is the holiday she may get back to me with a resolution to the matter. In the event that happens, I will update this post. ***Update (as promised): I give Kelly (the manager) props for reaching out to me today. For that reason and the fact she took the time to find a "compromise" or a resolution to help me, I boosted there rating to 4 starts instead of 3. My reviews are very heavily weighted by how staff treats customers. Also, I actually visited the site (only walked in the front door) but could tell the facility was nicely put together and presented well. Long story short, she reached out to the owners of the company and they offered me a three month membership for $50/month. I am contemplating what I am going to do but think I am going to deny the offer simply because it is kind of a ridiculously high price. I really enjoyed the personalized binder I received, lots of great recipes and most especially the Fittlinx system. You enter a PIN number in the kiosk at the start and conclusion of the workout , and on the various Fittlinx weight machines which reminds you of your seat adjustment etc. not sure if they even still have this so do check and see. The Fittlinx system times you as you lift and lower for the most effective results. It reminds you if you go too fast. At the end you will find out how many total pounds you lifted! That's pretty awesome and inspiring!! I even invested in a membership and went for a year even though Final Results was about 25 minutes from my home. Sadly I made the decision to go to a closer gym. It was a difficult decision to make because I truly loved this gym. The incentives, programs, staff, trainer Todd, and the owners are all top notch. Personal Training was always something to look forward to with Todd, he always had an interesting and different physical regimen to try. They worked with me too, honoring my 30 minute sessions, some trainers at the time would only accept 60 minute assignments. Todd said he could give me a workout that would be effective and challenging in just 30 minutes and he did!! Final Results will always have a special place in my heart. I even still wear the "my club rocks-Final Results" the dye blue t shirt I earned by meeting workout incentives. I always felt welcome at Final Results and was greeted with a smile.

No "Karate Kid" yelling in your face or anything. They teach children starting at about 5 years old and are patient, firm and caring. Adults take classes at Kwon's as well, and there are mixed age group classes and separate adult classes as well. The focus and emphasis at Kwon's is personal growth and achievement. No race to each belt level and no bilking you for extraneous belt levels either! Kwon's is open 7 days a week and offers Tae Kwon Do, Kickboxing and Jiu Jitsu. If you are looking for a family orientated organization with quality instructors and a caring staff - this is the place for you!

The men's locker room/shower clearly doesn't get cleaned often. There are even drain flies to go with the grimy floor. The gym itself is quite clean; folks are good about wiping down machines and I've seen the staff mopping the treadmills. But the showers? Not so much. Otherwise, there are plenty of machines and free weights to get a workout in; even if the crowds (which aren't too bad) preclude one exercise, there's probably a machine available to do the same thing. 4/5

What began as a concern about the class schedule escalated instead of being addressed through a respectful conversation and clear communication. I did not feel heard or receive a satisfactory explanation of how my situation was handled. The local team's positive attitude deserves to be matched by the same level of care and responsiveness from corporate leadership.
