Use of the facilities can be arranged through the Allentown Parks Department, although the Alton Park Youth Association has primary use of the fields. Lots of space for throwing frisbees and picnicking. The park is often quite busy with people when the weather is nice.

When I went as a kid it was like $2 admission for the whole day and now its $10. I understand that times have changed with inflation / etc. but that is pretty excessive... Probably explains why the pool is almost empty a majority of the time on hot summer days. The diving board use to be a the far end of the 12 ft deep section where you could dive in and swim straight all the way to the 3ft section. Now they have the pool sectioned in half to accommodate for pro swimmers and have 2 lanes dedicated for that, but it takes up over 1/4 of the pool. The rules they have are pretty excessive and ridiculous such as not allowing kids to have boogie boards or pool noodles. They still feature a DJ on certain Thursday nights, but it just doesn't draw the same crowd anymore that it use to. There are other larger and nicer pools in the area that cost less and you'll likely get more for your money.

We know other children in the class that were made uncomfortable by the teacher aka prior "director" so the defense of management is rather watered down. Don't waste your money in this place. There are a bunch of classes listed on their website. I have not signed my son up for a class, but we have been enjoying open tumble for 1-5 year olds. They offer open tumble a few times a month. It is an hour long and it is $6. There are trampolines, ball pit, matts, parachutes, tunnels, and other fun things for your kids to climb and jump and run all over. I love going here, it wears my son out!!!! And he takes an amazing nap in the afternoon!!! The first few open tumbles i went to were fairly empty, but today there was a nice group of people. I have a feeling as it gets colder, it will get more crowded.

In the same area its got the community pool, the playhouse in the park, and the eicher indian museum. It is generally clean, has a nice walking trail with wood bridges, kiddie park stuff, baseball diamonds and the police pass thru reguarly. So whats my problem with it? Teens. The cops dont pass thru there because they want a nice detour. The area is a big collection point for bored kids. Here it is a monday, and they are already beating on stuff, jumping on tables and scaring off families. Wait till friday night. Theres also a skate park at the pool which is honestly too noisy.. Once a month the park hosts a motorcycle gathering in the park. I visit my parents 2 miles away and its horrible. Can you imagine living next door? Oh and yes, when i was a teen I was there and got chased off by the cops. However as an adult, I find the teens doing the same thing not as cool. Go figure.
