I paid ~ 9.00 for a basic with two upgrades but couldn't select my upgrades - whatTheHeck? A couple of moments of goodness, the guys did push my side mirrors in prior to entering the wash and they offered me a complimentary towel, and actually tossed two my way, they are like lint free paper towels. A thoughtless customer was BLARING her car stereo which all the vacuums would not drown out. It was sooooooooo annoying. You would think the company would put up signs stating 'do not blare your music morons!' like the goo goo does on south parkway. The vacuums are no where near the quality of the drive thru car wash near the "new" Wal Mart on 72 west near County line. And the place was generally run down. The staff at the other place by wal mart are way friendly, offering to help in any way, for example they will offer to run your mats thru the cleaner, free of charge. If you love listening to other peoples taste in music at way over the normal Marshal amp at a Metallica concert volume, enjoy paying for add-ons that you don't know what you're getting and using vacuums that increase the time you are exposed to extremely loud music of other people's selection because you have to re-vacuum the same spot a million times, you've got your new place. Enjoy!

Our experience at Sides was a good one this last spring! My husband nearly totaled his SUV, and…read morethankfully he wasn't seriously injured! Geico came to our home to do the estimate and I got on the phone to find a body shop that could complete the repairs in a reasonable amount of time. Many folks are repairing their vehicles instead of buying new ones when they are wrecked, and all the body shops are backed up. Seriously backed up! Sides made the most sense to us and within a couple of weeks we had a drop off appointment. The staff are friendly, cordial, honest and thorough. We knew going in there was a shortage of parts for Mazda [our SUV] and I think Subaru. Plus, Geico had to go to the body shop to perform at least 2 supplemental estimates updating the original estimate. This is because additional damage is often found during repairs, for example, the front seat needed replacing. Time was not a critical issue for us, as we bought a replacement vehicle in the interim. Sides took about 8-10 weeks to complete the job, which they told us up front. They quickly updated me at every follow up phone call and they offer a text messaging status service which is not really accurate or dependable. Do call them, they will talk to you and help you on the phone. We were pleased with all the work including the paint job, when we picked the car up and I've enjoyed my "new" [new to me, it is a 2016 model] car ever since. I highly recommend Sides! You can double check me, but I'm pretty sure there are 2 Sides shops in Athens.

Lights dimmed then died, the car struggled to keep running. I limped home on a wing and a prayer. This morning I started looking for a shop that would at least do a diagnostic right away so I could figure out my plans for going back to Virginia on Monday. After calling a few shops that wouldn't even let me have the car towed to them I found Hooligan Motorsports. A quick call with Rob and he said he could have a look at it as soon as I could get it there. We both suspected the Alternator and within 20 minutes of having the car dropped off Rob called to tell me that he could have it fixed up same day, and an hour or so after that he called again to say the car was ready to be picked up! On top of helping me out of my sudden problem right away, the cost of repair was surprisingly affordable. I'm truly fortunate to find this shop. Rob is very easy to work with. He was the miracle I needed today, and I have found the local shop where we will be taking our repair needs in the future.

When they left, they put him outside the pen and locked the gate. He had no food and no water. It has been raining, he was wet, he was cold, he was scared, and he may have been in danger because many people thought he was aggressive. He was on N Memorial Parkway in Huntsville, which is a notoriously dangerous area for a dog to be unattended. Thankfully the dog is now secure at a vet, is getting checked out, and someone has stepped up that is familiar with the dog who is going to adopt it. That does not mean that Huntsville Automotive Service should get a free pass for doing this. They are now at their new location. I would suggest DO NOT DO BUSINESS with anyone who thinks this kind of behavior is acceptable! I would like to think that criminal charges will be pressed, however I doubt they will be in this case. The old address is North Memorial Pkwy, new address is Lodge Rd. Huntsville Automotive Service UPDATE: The dog is safe now.

I'm glad AAFES Express is here! It's located on the southeast corner of the Mills/Martin Road…read moreintersection. It's known as "the Exchange" or "Redstone Arsenal Exchange Services," or "Army and Air Force Exchange." It's open Monday through Friday 6 AM to 6 PM and closed on the weekends. It's sort of a one stop shop as it's a gas station, convenience store with a small liquor store (must have Military ID to purchase liquor, beer, wine, etc.), and smaller versions (versus the regular sized stores) of both Burger King and Subway. Unlike the Express with Class Six on Action Drive, the selection of liquors at the AAFES Express is much smaller and I've never seen the AAFES Express host an event like an on site wine retailer. I've eaten at both the Burger King and Subway, which can get really crowded, and purchased a few items at the convenience store. In the past I've purchased gas here, too. It's nice, in a pinch, to be able to pop over to the AAFES Express and get a sub sandwich or something from Burger King if you forgot your lunch and/or missed the cafeteria operating hours in your building.

Likely due to the drought we are in and the amount of crazy dust all over the place. There's no attendant at the payment kiosk which suits me fine. The payment options were numerous and for some reason it takes 3-4 taps to get your selection to "take" on the touch screen. Grrrrr! I was happy the carwash cost $10 and included ArmorAll tire treatment, because usually adding the tire treatment tacks on several dollars and here it was included in the $10 price. There was one young man working the pre-wash section before you pull into the actual car wash. He did a good job, however, he didn't offer anything such as the car air fresheners you get at some carwashes or some lint free towels. The wash itself was great! It's fun to try a new car wash and cute rubber duckie on the ledge as you exit the wash was adorable. They had adequate vacuum bays and there were no patrons blaring music [thank the Lord!]. I didn't take the time to vacuum. I saved my receipt in case I can use the vacuums in the future on this day's payment. There were no signs indicating that, I'm just basing it on other carwashes in the area. Do try Super Duck! Unlike two other carwashes I did not experience any scratches in my car's paint. YAY! That's a win for sure!

I have a subscription to another car wash down the road. My mother is visiting for the holidays, and she had salt and dirt all over her car. I used that as an excuse to perhaps see what I was missing with this place. I'm not missing much. I didn't get a shot of their menu...but I selected the $25 "ceramic" wash, which is one under their best at $30 and about three better than basic service. I was happy rolling through. Their vacuum area was in good repair and stocked with some limited supplies. That was nice. I drove on home (4 miles away) and took a look. The tires were not shined uniformly. Also, there was water spots on the chrome areas. Not what I expected from a $25 Carwash. Minus one star for price...expensive. Minus one star for being a little difficult to get in from US72. I didn't know if I was headed into Valvoline for an oil change or Ducks to get a wash for a moment. Minus one for the half-way wash and finish. I would have gladly taken it down the road where I have my subscription and it would have been just as much...and look much better. I don't think I will be back here.
