Heads up! - Two reviews (Lee Y & Tito R) are incorrectly posted and belong with the hospital across the street. Process- Before my 1st appointment, they texted me an online registration link. This minimized the paperwork and was much appreciated! Appointments run on time which is delightful! Atmosphere- This is a big place with all the rehab bells and whistles for both PT and OT. Masks are required and they clean equipment a lot! Customer Service- The two service folks that have touched me have been friendly and efficient. For consistency, I requested that I have the same therapist each visit and they happily accommodated me! Therapists- My guy has been awesome. He likes to set objective goals and he clearly explains the "why" of every exercise. In addition to getting better, I'm learning a lot! These folks are part of the Advent Health System which I use quite a bit. They are great choice for outpatient rehab in Highlands County.

I went in for an ultrasound and ended up in the ER. Yes, the staff is worn out in places - they have been in a war. Still, I received all the treatment I needed. The operating room was beyond overbooked. So, I had to wait a day for my surgery. I was kept out of danger with antibiotics. EVERY staff member was a true hero. I know many of them were working after having had COVID and still came back. So, after waiting a day, I was the only one in pre-op. I went almost right in and EXPERT surgeons saved my life. Turned out it was worse than they first thought and the antibiotics had really been needed. After surgery, I was treated for another three days and EVERY test and procedure was done. I have been in this hospital with my family a few years back and it's not the same - it's rougher around the edges. THE WHOLE WORLD is rougher around the edge.

The staff is excellent from the management, the Nurses, CNA's, dining staff and PT, everyone was so nice and caring. No set visiting hours, which makes it very convenient. Rooms are clean and bright and they provide laundry service, if the family does not want to do it at home. Attention to the resident's needs are paramount and you can not ask for more. Before my dad was transferred there, I stopped by there without an appointment to check out the facility. I was immediately greeted and welcomed by the friendly staff and given a tour of the facility. The facility was clean and pleasant smelling. The rooms were very nice and spacious, the shared rooms looked as though the residents had plenty of space, and did not look cramped at all. Once my dad arrived, he was put in a very nice private room with a ton of space. All of the office staff, his nurses and nursing assistants, therapists and doctors have all been very sweet, and do such a wonderful job taking care of my dad. The physical, occupational, and speech therapy my dad receives have been top notch. He had been in another facility a couple months back and the therapy he received was the absolute minimum and didn't help him at all. The therapists at Hawthorne truly care about their patients making progress. The speech therapist, Brittany is so sweet and caring. I get to spend more time with her because I am often there when she comes to his room to work with him on his eating. She lets me bring in his favorite banana cream pies and she stores them in the fridge, so she can feed him when working with him on his eating, instead of the usual apple sauce. When I to go to the therapy gym, it is very busy, and all the therapists are working hard with their patients. My dad has already made a lot of progress in just the couple of weeks he has been there, as they really push him. They all make him feel so welcome and always happy to see him. My dad has dementia, so it can be scary leaving him at a new place, knowing he cannot communicate that well. I visit my dad at different times every day, and every time I go, I always find he has been well taken care of. I also enjoy taking my dad outside in his wheelchair so he can feed the ducks at the pond that is located in front of the entrance. If you are looking for a skilled nursing rehab facility for your loved one, I cannot recommend Hawthorne enough.

Our friend, who is receiving occupational and physical therapy, is doing good and the interactions that we see with her and the Solaris team are ones of a truly caring nature. We've gone with our friend to her physical and occupational therapy, and we feel that those teams are engaged, giving their patients the best chance for a good recovery. This location is absolutely beautiful and the staff is very kind and takes great care of her. She receives physical, occupational and speech therapy multiple times per week. She is also provided meals 3 times per day, which are designed to fit her dietary needs as prescribed by her individual needs as she progresses through her medical plan. Family and friends are encouraged to visit and take part in the healing process. All rooms in this facility are single as well, as to provide individual care and privacy. While my mom is ready to come she knows she is getting the care she needs to prepare her to get there.
