While some…read moreclassical stations are content to recycle the same pieces endlessly, WXXI steps up with performances from Glimmerglass, Wolf Trap, Chicago, and the orchestras of Cleveland, Dallas, and Santa Fe. One can hear classical music from all over the US. An Empire State of mind. They have unique shows like "Classical Guitar Alive" and "With Heart and Voice." Their Sunday morning programs focus on sacred music. It's refreshing. There's plenty of room for podcasts like The Moth Radio Hour, Snap Judgment, along with great music. WXXI is one of the best stations in the country.
