I know a lot of lawyers personally but had never had to deal with an accident lawyer and felt that most I talked to were either too aggressive, impractical or just not interested because my accident seemed small or not worthy of treatment. From the very beginning, John was open and honest about my case and gave me the guidance and direction that no one else seemed to be able to provide. I learned a lot about small claims court along the way because I had dropped the ball on my case, even if it was thru no fault of my own. John was easy to talk to and gave me the time needed. He was both practical and efficient. It was refreshing that he was available within reason and wasn't in a rush when dealing with me. Based on those findings, I was informed that injections were medically recommended for my injuries. Despite this recommendation and my repeated requests, I was not approved to receive the injections. I continue to experience ongoing symptoms related to these injuries. When the case settled, the attorney fees and costs deducted by the firm exceeded the amount I personally received from the settlement. This outcome was not clearly explained to me in advance, and I was surprised by the final disbursement. I raised my concerns with a legal assistant assigned to my case, including whether the firm would consider reducing the fee percentage to achieve a more equitable outcome. I was told that I should have read my contract and that the percentage would not be adjusted. Overall, I felt that my concerns were not meaningfully addressed, and the outcome left me financially and medically worse off. I encourage prospective clients to ask detailed questions in advance about fee structures, medical treatment approvals, and expected net recovery before signing a representation agreement.
